Rusty & Dora

Rusty & Dora

DSH - male - 1 year and 5 months

Rusty (male) and Dora (female) have been in the same foster home since 5 weeks old and, although initially timid, are now loving, cuddly house-trained cats. The siblings are used to being together and are well-bonded.

They are house cats but do like to spend their evenings outside smelling the plants and soaking up the sunshine in their enclosed garden. Rusty, the male, is adventurous and playful. He takes some warming up to new people but once you have his trust he will follow you around like a shadow. He's a fluffy and gorgeous little chap! Dora, the female, is calmer than her brother and likes to spend hours curled up in your lap. She likes most people and things, except the vacuum cleaner! They are very cute and responsive to their owners, they even come running when their names are called.

Rusty and Dora are both wonderful companions and will make any home better. Looking for a loving home that would eventually allow the cats to roam safely outside (during the day only) as well as lounge inside, and without dogs (as Rusty isn't a fan).

Madeleine

Madeleine

Domestic short hair - female - 2 months and 2 weeks

Madeleine is one of 4 surviving kittens from a litter of 7 rescued by DCH. She is the most ladylike and gentle of her siblings and just loves to cuddle and lie next to you. She is a stunning-looking kitten with soft white fur, with a grey tail and grey tips on her ears.

Madeleine contracted cat flu at 2 weeks of age but she fought it bravely and has recovered within 2 weeks without any lasting impact. She loves to eat wet and dry kitten food. She is litter-trained on pellets and crystals. She is fantastic with other kittens and cats as well as children and adults. Despite being the runt of the family, she is also the most adventurous, wanting to explore her surroundings and follow you around. She is also respectful of furniture, clothes and shoes.

Madeline has been microchipped and has received her first vaccination. If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, ladylike kitten to join your household, Madeleine would love to meet you.

Madeleine has been in foster care since 25 February 2024, for 1 month

Skye

Skye

Domestic short hair - female - 2 months and 2 weeks

Skye is a very special kitten and is looking for an extraordinary family to love her. She came into DCH care with her mama (Sabrina) and 6 siblings, all suffering from cat flu. Whilst Skye was one of 4 siblings who survived cat flu with mama, she suffered permanent blindness in her left eye, and was also born with cerebellar hypoplasia (aka "wobbly cat syndrome"), a rare neurological disorder that causes swaying while standing or walking/running. However, the disorder is not progressive nor contagious, and she is perfectly fine in every other way.

Skye is playful, affectionate, sweet and obviously a warrior. She has plenty of spirit and personality and never lets her physical challenges get her down. She loves climbing cat trees, playing with her siblings and kitten toys (such as balls and plushies), and coming in for cuddles and snuggles.

She loves wet and dry kitten food. She is toilet-trained on pellets and crystals. She is respectful of furniture, clothes and shoes. She is fantastic with other kittens, cats, children and adults. She is quiet and incredibly inspiring to live with - she never lets anything get her down.

Skye will be available to join her forever home in August 2024 after she has an operation to remove her blind eye (she needs to be 6 months for the operation to have a best chance of success). Looking after Skye is just like looking after a normal kitten. She is strong, can see clearly in her other eye and is getting better at controlling her wobbliness.

If you are looking for an extraordinary kitten who is sweet, affectionate, playful, and brave, Skye would love to meet you.

Skye has been in foster care since 25 February 2024, for 1 month

Sabrina

Sabrina

She is an extremely friendly cat. She is fantastic with children and adults. She is currently untested with dogs and would need to be introduced to other cats slowly if she is in the company of her kittens. She loves to play with cat toys like plushies and balls. She also likes climbing cat trees and sitting next to you when you're watching tv or reading.

Sabrina is litter-trained, quiet, and loves dry and wet cat food. She is respectful of furniture, clothes and shoes. She has been microchipped and vaccinated and will be ready to join her new family in June once she has weaned her kittens and been desexed.

If you are looking for a cat who is serene, calm, smoochy and low-maintenance, Sabrina would love to meet you.

Daisy

Daisy

Domestic Short Hair - female - 4 months and 3 weeks

Daisy should have been named Dennis-the-menace as she is the most playful kitten her foster carer has come across!
She is constantly running around the house, jumping on toys, wrestling the resident cat, climbing onto the indoor pot plants, batting at your toes and loving life. She is a super energetic cat and LOVES playing...whether it's chasing toys, climbing the scratching tree, swiping at feathers or jumping on your head as you sleep.

Daisy likely won't be a super snuggly, cuddly type of cat, but she will have a snooze beside you, and you can pick her up for a smooch and a cuddle....she would just rather be active and playing! She starts purring instantly whenever you pat her, and she will definitely keep you entertained with her antics.

Because of her outgoing personality she must be rehomed to a household with an existing cat, and a strictly indoor only home. (She would be a proficient hunter and decimate wildlife if allowed outside!) Daisy is going through a phase of playing and trying to wrestle with your hand so is better suited to a home without young children at this time.

Daisy has never had a toileting accident and always uses her litter tray, and we're teaching her to use her scratching post consistently. She is available to meet and greet in Riverstone, NSW and will be able to go to her new home as soon as she is desexed.

Daisy has been in foster care since 06 March 2024, for 1 month

Pilkington

Pilkington

He loves eating dry and wet kitten food. He plays hard and sleeps hard. When he is pooped out he loves to cuddle and lie next to you. He is litter-trained on pellets and crystals. He is also respectful of furniture, clothes and shoes. Pilkington will be ready to join his forever home from 17 April 2024 after his desexing procedure.

If you are looking for a friendly, playful, strong kitten, Pilkington would love to meet you.

Pilkington has been in foster care since 09 March 2024, for 1 month

Fuji

Fuji

Domestic Short Hair - male - 4 months and 1 week

Meet Fuji, the gentle giant with a heart as vast as his size. This big boy is always eager to greet you, often the first to rub against your legs with affectionate enthusiasm. As soon as you start petting him, his purr engine revs up instantly, showing just how much he adores attention and affection.

Fuji is a true cuddle enthusiast and would probably prefer to be showered with pats and cuddles 24/7 if he could. He finds immense joy in spending time with humans, enjoying head bumps and happily grooming your hair. However, be cautious, as his eagerness can sometimes lead to him getting a bit tangled up in his excitement!

While Fuji loves playing with his siblings, his heart truly belongs to his human companions. He's a loyal and affectionate companion who will fill your home with love, warmth, and plenty of heart-melting moments. If you're ready to welcome a furry friend who's big on love and cuddles, Fuji is waiting to become your new best friend!

This little bundle of joy enjoys spending her days grooming her siblings and caretakers, always ready to pounce on any moving object with grace and precision. Lexi is a master at carrying her beloved toys around in her mouth, showcasing her playful nature and affectionate personality.

Despite her independent streak, Lexi adores engaging in playful wrestles with her siblings, finding joy in their company and shared adventures. She has a unique way of forgetting how much she loves attention until she's already receiving it, often approaching for cuddles only to dart away, lured back by the promise of more fun and excitement.
