Dolly

Dolly

Exotic Shorthair - female

Dolly is a Exotic Shorthair Cat. Commonly known as the 'lazy mans Persian' they have the endearing, affectionate nature of the Persian with a bit of cheekiness thrown in. Exotics do still shed a fair bit and they are used to be groomed and bathed. Dolly loves other cats and are used to dogs. She is used to an indoor life so do not have the street smarts of outdoor cats. They would do best in an indoor home or with restricted access to outdoors. Dolly loves to curl up on your lap and is not a fussy eater.

Misty

Misty

DSH - female

This sweet girl has only been in care for a short time but has already proven to be a very affectionate kitty. We have called her Misty because of her gorgeous ticked coat that has gold through it. She has the cutest little girly meow and also has a lovely trill that she uses to greet you with. She will put her paws on your leg and stretch her head as far as possible to get pats and she will happily curl up on your lap for a snuggle. Very clean with her litter tray and knows what the scratching post is for? this petite little gem deserves a great home where someone will return all the love she has to give.

Muffin

Muffin

DSH - female

Muffin is a petite, beautiful little girl. She is curious, playful, mischievous, loving all the things kittens should be. Muffin lives with my 2 older cats and maltese dog, she is fully litter trained, eats dry and wet kitten food and is just a lovely little kitten. I think Muffin would be a wonderful addition to any home that is looking for a fun loving, special little girl. I know I have had a special time with Muffin and she is ready now for her forever home with you.

Luffy

Luffy

DSH - male

Luffy was left in a shoe-box that was tied up with rope outside a friends pet food store with his 3 other siblings. He has the most beautiful personality, and much prefers the company of people. He follows you around everywhere, including the toilet and if you let him he would sit on your lap there as well. He is fantastic with kittens and cats of all ages as well as our large dog and a boisterous puppy. A really loving boy who would bring so much love and laughter to his new owners.

Chopper

Chopper

DMH - male

Chopper is a medium haired black and white kitten with the same golden eyes. He has a white chin and his front feet have white on only the toes and his back feet have little white boots. As he gets older, he is now getting a beautiful frosting of grey/white on the back of his back legs and tail plus faint tabbie stripes on his sides. Temperament wise he is very playful and rowdy. Loves to play with his friend Marley and considers my old cocker spaniel a mate as well. He loves to rub all over her, play with her feet and tail and eat her dog food. He doesn't know he is any different to her. So caution will need to be used when introducing a family dog to him who is not used to cats as he doesn't have a natural fear of them. He is fully kitty litter trained and an indoor cat at the moment.

Elfy

Elfy

Cornish Rex - male

Elfy is a 3 year old male Cornish Rex. He is black in colour and has a svelte muscular body. Elfy can be quite vocal and loves to chat! He readily gives headbutts and smooches.Elfy enjoys the company of other female cats but is not so welcoming towards other males. The events that have led him coming into rescue have left him feeling quite stressed but everyday I am getting to know Elfy better and he is feeling more comfortable and better able to show his true unique personality. Elfy loves to eat! His food bowl is always emptied and he readily accepts both dry and wet food but most especially loves his fresh beef mince! Elfy's adoption fee includes his desexing, vaccination and microchip. He is also up to date with his flea control and worming treatment.

Elfy was adopted on 08 August 2012 after 2 weeks in foster care

Alice

Alice

DSH - female

Alice came into care 2 months ago with a broken pelvis which has healed beautifully. She was found by someone on the side of the road being attacked by other cats. We do not know how she ended up in this situation, but she is now safe. Because of her tough start in life, she needs a home that will be patient and caring. Currently she loves cuddling up to Grandpa. She has slowly but surely learnt to trust us and is happy to cuddle up for the entire time while there is a lap available. She is curious and won't go too far but will probably grow out of that. She is learning that she can trust us and is therefore becoming more adventurous. Alice loves to play with the other kitten in care, but is still nervous of the bigger cats. She loves her toys and can keep herself entertained for hours. Alice should be an indoor cat.

Mo

Mo

Himalayian - male

At 10 years young, Mo was abandoned and left to die by his previous owner, severely neglected and starved. He came into care a walking skeleton with a terrible flea infestation. His beautiful coat and skin had patches missing and he was filthy and crusted with dirt. His teeth were in a terrible condition and 4 had to be removed. He is currently under veterinary treatment and on a specialised diet to ensure he has a happy and long life.

Mo's additional vet costs have so far been quoted at around $944. Thanks to Ann, Joanne, Jo, Eleanor, Anne, Lainie, Peter and Tonya for their generous donations. Mo's additional vet fees have now been fully sponsored

MO

MO

Himalayian - male

Mo is the sweetest, most beautiful and affectionate senior citizen you will ever meet. He loves to be brushed and stroked and will sit there for hours while you pamper him. He adores attention and TLC and will lie on his back purring his heart out for a brush and a tummy rub. Mo is still very playful and don't be fooled by his age, he runs, jumps and plays like a kitten at times! At 10 years young, Mo was abandoned and left to die by his previous owner, severely neglected and starving. Mo lives with his foster carer, 2 children, a gentle cat friendly dog and 2 adult cats who are also Himalayans.

He is not fazed by any other animals as long as they are not aggressive and he will fit in to a home with existing pets and/or children. Mo is quite afraid of my 4 year old son though and would best be adopted by a family or individual with older children. Mo will only be adopted to the very best of homes and preferably to an individual who has knowledge of the Himalyan breed and care. He will need a family with time to pamper him and give him lots of love and he will reward you with his sweet and affectionate purrsonality. Unlike most Himalayans, Mo is not double coated so his beautiful fur is quite easy to maintain. His care will involve brushing at least once a day which he absolutely adores and he will need to be an inside cat only as he is quite afraid of the outside world.

Mo is litter trained, desexed, wormed, flea treated, microchipped and vaccinated and he is available for adoption now. Mo needs to stay on a high quality diet as he has had food allergies in the past but healthwise, Mo has had a full veterinary check and he is very healthy with no issues. Enquiries regarding Mo are more than welcome and

Hankie

Hankie

DMH - male

Hankie was found all on his own by the Ranger for Hawkesbury and put with a litter of kittens that were lucky enough to be rescued by our carer. He was a tiny little thing and at one stage we thought he wasn?t going to make it but he has beaten the odds and is a very happy, healthy little kitten.

Hankie has a special spot in his carers heart as he is a most loving, affectionate, confident, curious, playful, adorable little kitten and they have been through a lot together. He uses his front paws a lot usually to help clean out the kitty litter or pat me softly on the face when cuddling him.

Hankie is living with 2 older cats and maltese dog and gets on well with all of them. He really is a most beautiful little man and if you would like to meet him he is living at Banksia.

Hankie was adopted on 04 August 2012 after 3 days in foster care
