Ariella Park Remembrance (Remmy)

Ariella Park Remembrance (Remmy)

Australian Saddle Pony - gelding

Australian Saddle Pony Gelding 14hh, 7yrs.

Remmy is a beautiful horse with a lovely, kind nature. He's double registered with the Australian Saddle Pony Association and the Riding Pony Stud Book Society. He's good to trim, rug, handle and he floats well.

Remmy was broken in as a four year old and started liberty and ridden training where he proved happy to be ridden alone, in a group, or out in the paddock with other horses. He's recently had a break from riding and needs an experienced person to bring him back into work and continue his education.

Remmy will make a lovely pony for a small adult, teen, or a second pony for a capable child rider.

Ariella Park Remembrance (Remmy) was adopted on 22 August 2015 after 4 months in foster care

Ronaldo

Ronaldo

Thoroughbred - gelding

Thoroughbred Gelding 16.1hh, 12yrs

Ronaldo is a lovely horse with good conformation and an easy going, even temperament. He's a good doer and maintains condition easily. He hasn't been ridden for several years so is suited to an experienced rider only. After re-starting or sending him to a trainer he would enjoy long rides, rounding up sheep or cattle, or would make a lovely dressage horse. Ronaldo needs an experienced rider but is tractable, easy to train and responds well to the principles of natural horsemanship. With the right guidance, Ronaldo is a horse you could derive a lot of pleasure from owning and riding.

Ronaldo was adopted on 22 August 2015 after 5 months in foster care

Moonshine

Moonshine

Palouse - gelding

Palouse Gelding 10.2hh, 8yrs

Moonshine was adopted from DCH at Christmas time and with the help of my 4yr old daughter he is now broken to saddle and happy, although green, as a lead rein pony. Sadly, she would like to do competitions and shows and due to Moonshines past he is not quite up to that level yet. He needs a kind and knowledgeable home as he can worry around strange people. Moonshine is good with the farrier and loading on the float. He does not bite or buck, has no major health issues and is up to date with dentist, vaccinations & the farrier.

Miss Molly

Miss Molly

Mini x Shetland - filly

Mini x Shetland Filly 8hh, 2yrs.

Miss Molly is an easygoing and adorable pony, she's had basic groundwork education so is good to catch, lead, groom and handle. Molly is unbroken so will need to be sent to a professional for breaking in if she's to be ridden or trained to harness, she'd also be well suited as a companion horse.

Miss Molly was adopted on 17 June 2015 after 2 months in foster care

Lily

Lily

Australian Riding Pony - mare

Australian Riding Pony Mare 13hh, 12yrs

Lily is a sweet mare who has been well educated to have impeccable ground manners. She's calm and easygoing, with a "been there, done that" attitude due to her former life on the show circuit. She's sociable with other horses and is a good doer. Lily is very tolerant and will make an excellent lead rein pony, she could also be used to teach horse handling skills to young children. She's not suitable for general riding or PC.

Lily was adopted on 15 June 2015 after 1 month in foster care

Rocky

Rocky

Thoroughbred - gelding

Rocky - Thoroughbred Gelding, 16.1hh, 19yrs

*Foster Carer Needed* - If you can offer Rocky a foster (or permanent) home we'd love to hear from you.

Rocky is a calm, kind horse. A real gentleman with good ground manners, he's good with other horses including Shetlands. Being a Thoroughbred, and older in years, he needs hard feeding and rugging. Rocky isn't rideable so is best suited to being a companion horse, or could give supervised lead rides to kids. This horse has a one in a million temperament and deserves a knowledgeable, kind home where he can have a happy retirement.

Rocky was adopted on 01 February 2015 after 7 months in foster care

Moonshine

Moonshine

Palouse - gelding

Moonshine - Palouse Gelding, 10hh, 8yrs

*Foster Carer Needed* - If you can offer Moonshine a foster (or permanent) home we'd love to hear from you.

Moonshine is an intelligent, inquisitive pony. He's a good doer and enjoys the company of other horses, especially as he was without companionship for a long time before coming to us. Moonshine has lead a lonely life and has had limited training, also judging by some of this reactions he was possibly abused at some stage. Despite this, he is calm once haltered and can be lead, brushed, lunged and has been attended to by the farrier and equine dentist.

He is a quick leaner and is full of personality.

Moonshine needs a home with experienced horse people who have access to an enclosed area or house yard to handle and work with him in, in addition to paddock grazing.
He needs an owner/handler who's patient, calm, experienced with young/fearful/mistreated horses, who's willing to take the time he needs to fully regain his trust in people.

Once educated, he'll make a fantastic lead or ridden pony, or he could be trained to harness. Also due to his colour he can be registered with the Australian Palouse Pony Association.

If you feel you can give Moonshine a great temporary; or permanent home, please contact us.

Gypsy

Gypsy

Thoroughbred - gelding

Gypsy - Thoroughbred Mare – 15hh, 8yrs

Gypsy is a project horse for a capable person. She’s had a saddle on and lunges nicely, however it’s not known what she’s like under saddle or if she is completely or only green broke. She’s great with traffic, dogs, other horses, to wash and groom, and is great for the farrier. She needs to be rehomed with an experienced and dedicated horseperson as she has issues with tying up, worming, floating, and she’s head shy due to past abuse. Registered with the Australian Studbook. If you have the experience for her and are looking for a young TB mare with potential, please contact us.

Tinkerbell

Tinkerbell

Australian x Welsh Pony - female

Tinkerbell is currently on hold until her medical condition is sorted out

Unfortunately Tinkerbell has a tooth abscess. She's had 2 lots of x rays done to determine what the cause of the small abscess on her face and after review from a specialist in Canberra it has been confirmed that this is the cause. The vet quoted $1600 for the operation required. Tinkerbell is currently on anti-biotics awaiting the surgery.

Update 13/6/14: Vet specialist has identified a split tooth which is looking like the cause of the problem. It is suspected she'll undergo the surgery in the next 2-3 weeks and after living with this problem for over a year we hope we can see her pain free in a months time.

Tinkerbell was adopted on 20 August 2014 after 3 months in foster care
