Luca's story

Hello everyone at DCH Adoptions,

On November 16th, 2009 I adopted the beautiful 'Simba' (rottweiller x staffy). He was a chunky stray pup who was found lost in the middle of Liverpool. As soon as I saw his photo on your website I said to myself 'this is my dog' and was lucky to adopt him a few days later. That was almost six years ago, and his name is now Luca and he has grown into a handsome muscly man with the sweetest temperament.

Always trying to do the right thing, Luca graduated from puppy school not long after he came to live with me. We went to class every Thursday for four weeks, and on Graduation Day Luca was given the award for being 'The Most Willing Worker' in his class. It was a very proud moment and his certificate is still on our fridge!

Luca's favourite activities are going for walks, wrestling, chasing a tennis ball and swimming at our local dog beach. He has lots of pals for company, and he and his little mate Hansel (Maltese X) make a funny pair. They always get lots of attention when they are out and about.

Luca and I are soulmates. He is my best friend and the love of my life. We do everything together and I can't imagine my life without him. Thank you to all the kind staff and volunteers who first spotted him in the pound, and for keeping him safe until he came home with me. Attached is a photo of my beautiful boy for your website - this is Luca's puppy school graduation day photo.

Thanks again, Nicole
