Domestic Short Hair - female - 8 years and 3 months

Tinkerbell was surrendered by her owners as they have moved into a small apartment that would not allow pets.

Tinkerbell is 8 years old and unfortunately we don't know much about her previous history.

She was surrendered at a vet clinic and has spent 2 weeks there and is now in care with us at DCH.

She has mild arthritis and is overweight but her her blood work is all within normal limits. Her teeth are in good condition.

She is currently on a diet of Royal Canin Satiety kibble.

She shows affection and will rub around your feet and seek out attention but can also be a little grumpy at the same time. She has had a lot of change over the last few weeks so we think she will just take a few weeks to settle into a new environment and to learn to trust new people.

She is a lovely girl and deserves a beautiful new stable home. We think she will do best as an only cat in the home.

If you think you can offer Tinkerbell a new home then please contact us.

Located in Scholfields NSW

Tinkerbell has been in foster care since 01 August 2020, for 2 weeks

DSH - female - 3 years and 7 months

Sabrina came into care as a semi-feral who was living rough along side of at least 3 siblings. Baits were put out and subsequently 2 of her siblings were poisoned to death before a kind soul managed to catch her and ask DCH for help.

She is a beautiful torty coloured, short haired girl. She's very small with tiny feet, tail and face. On her vet check and when she was desexed, the vet realized that she is not the under 1 year old kitten that we thought she was but is more likely a very small adult. Her age is an estimate.

Right from the start she's used the kitty litter tray without fail and is not fussy with her food.

Although she is still petrified, once you start patting her, she's very affectionate and leans into your hand and head butts you. But her first reaction is to hiss and strike at you. It's pretty hard to go from such a dangerous hard world and be able to trust. I am working hard at teaching her that she is safe now and that she deserves a loving home and family. She will need a family who are kind hearted and patient.

She has been desexed, microchipped, vet checked, vaccinated and has had dental work done. She is missing a few teeth possibly due to malnutrition but is currently having no trouble eating a varied diet of dry kibble, wet food, chicken etc... *Sabrina's additional dental work has come to $150 and we're seeking sponsorship to help cover this cost*

Sabrina has been in foster care since 03 August 2020, for 2 weeks

Domestic Short Hair - female - 9 years and 8 months

Parker's family recently lost their home to a severe storm and have had to make the decision to rehome Parker as they can no longer provide a home as they will be rebuilding and recovering. They have made the heart breaking decision that they need to rehome Parker and find her a new home.

Parker is now looking for a new family.

Parker is a gentle, quiet, fuss-free cat. She is toilet-trained and desexed.

We're looking for a good loving home for Parker to go to.

She's very affectionate but at the same time independent as well. Doesn't need much attention but loves it when you have time for her. She's happy sitting in her bed sleeping, looking out the window, sun baking.

Located in Coogee.

Parker has been in foster care since 08 August 2020, for 6 days

shd - female - 1 year

Mystique was dumped, along with her littermates and parents, when her family moved out and left them to fend for themselves... We rescued one of her siblings shortly after, who has already been rehomed. However, Mystique was being fed by various well wishers, and has only now come into our care to prepare for her furever home.

She is a beautiful large and strong cat, so she’s clearly had enough to eat! Although Mystique is still a bit nervous, she is very good with her people – loves to head butt, and very smoochy – in fact when you stop patting her, she grabs your hand with her two front paws to pull you back to your patting task….

Mystique is a very loving girl and will make a very nice family pet. She hasn’t particularly taken to small dogs around her, but has been ok with some of the resident cats. To keep her safe, Mystique must be an indoor-only kitty.

Mystique is vet-checked, microchipped, and vaccinated. She will be desexed prior to her adoption.

If you'd like to learn more about Mystique, currently in Hoxton Park, please text or phone her carer, Karen.

Domestic Medium Hair - female - 1 year and 5 months

Bronte was surrendered into care, and would like to find a loving forever home.

She loves cuddles, attention and to be held.
She loves being around you all the time, sit still too long and she will decide your lap is now hers for the taking.

Bronte has a gorgeous temperament, and a super soft medium hair coat.
As she has just come into care and everything is so new she is a little scared and cautious of sudden noises and movement. It’s been a big change and will take some time to settle and trust again.

She is wary of our resident cat and for the time being would prefer he stay away, but im sure with a little time they will become friends.

Bronte is a big fan of toys that roll or move, she gets very excited about playing in the cat tunnel.

She likes explore and jump up to sit in high places, sometimes it’s the cat tower sometimes; like right now while I write this, she thinks she is a parrot and has climbed up the back of my chair and draped herself over my shoulder.

Bronte is looking for an indoor home, she is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated, she is located in Kingswood.

Bronte has been in foster care since 13 August 2020, for 1 day
