DSH - female - 3 months and 2 weeks

Franny came into DCH care a couple of weeks before Christmas with her 4 siblings, Crispen, Maggie, Peaches and Dotty, when they were only 12 days old.

Franny’s beautiful sweet nature has slowly developed over the past few weeks and she enjoys a snuggle early morning before the day starts.

Franny has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and is quite comfortable living among them all.

Franny is a little smaller than her siblings so she has take a little longer to get ready for her new home but that time has now arrived and Franny will be available to adopt from Saturday (13th Feb), and is ready to meet her forever family.

As we currently receive lots of enquiries for each kitten, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered. If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Franny has been in foster care since 13 January 2021, for 1 month

Dsh - female - 1 year and 2 months

Surrendered to DCH by owners who could no longer look after her, Mila was initially a little shy but an affectionate girl when she gets to know you. She is happy to spend her days by herself asleep but will have a cuddle and settle on her carer's knee for a chin rub after dinner. She adores being brushed and will chase after the brush if it's taken away. However, Mila’s comfort in her new foster home has been somewhat constrained by a young kitten in our care: it seems she is afraid(?!) of this little tyke, which probably means her new home may best be one without other kitties.

Before she recently came into our care, Mila was described as overall a beautiful cat. Friendly, so cuddly, loves pats and cuddles, would just come and lay next to you whenever she sees you're around, loves toys and running after things. She's very smart and knows her food schedule really well.

So, she may well thrive best as the only 4 legged resident so she can have all the attention. She is an indoor only cat.

Mila is microchipped, desexed and has had the first of her vaccinations. She is available for her furever home around 12th February.

Please email us if you'd like to learn more about this black beauty, or arrange a meet and greet at her temporary home in Colyton.

Mila has been in foster care since 25 January 2021, for 1 month

Ragdoll - male - 4 years and 6 months

Chase is a beautiful, gorgeous boy, affectionate... and loves food, especially fresh sardines and pilchard, but will eat pretty much any canned cat food.

Chase normally sleeps in the garden or on the front porch during the day and on our bed at night but if he wants to go outside he will meow very loudly. He is fine with cat friendly dogs, but wouldn't suit a family with young children as he will strike out if something displeases him unlike some cats that will put up with anything.

Only the perfect home for this majestic feline, no busy roads as he does like to visit the neighbours sometimes, they all know and love him, he's the king of the street! Very, very sadly have to rehome Chase thanks to Queensland government border closure to Hawkesbury. I would board him if there was a chance of getting him there within a specific time frame but it's all too uncertain!

I cannot stress enough that Chase will only go to the best of homes, he will need someone really dedicated and willing to acclimate him to his new home as stress free as possible.

I originally rescued him from a house that was about to be demolished (though surprisingly the sqatters in that house had his papers which showed he is a purebred ragdoll!) when he was unapproachable and rather vicious. However, once I caught him and put him in the car, he just slept on the back seat all the way from Liverpool to South Windsor! It took a few weeks to get him to trust me, hid behind the washing machine for the first 3 days but he finally came around and there was no looking back after that.

Chase is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated, and regularly flea and worm treated.

If you wish to learn more about this beautiful boy, or arrange a meet and greet, please contact his Mum. Viola.

Milo and Ollie

Milo and Ollie

Rag Doll (pure bred) - male - 1 year and 9 months

These two beautiful blue bicoloured brothers have lived happily together with their family – which includes two older children – since they were kittens. Unfortunately, they are now in need of another family who will love and care for them just as we have. They must be rehomed together.

Both Milo and Ollie are very affectionate and loving once they are comfortable and trusting with you. Definitely a part of the family, they love to share the bed with you and roam around freely – and will object if locked up in a room away from you. That said, they are of course indoor-only cats, as they would not survive outside.

They will be more suited to a quiet home with no young children, or other pets. They will continue to thrive given the love and attention rag dolls need and deserve; a new owner who has experience with this special breed would be wonderful.

The brothers are healthy, and are microchipped, desexed and up to date with their vaccinations. If you wish to learn more about Milo and Ollie, please email their owner providing a little detail about your family and any previous experience with cats.
