Shadow

Shadow

Short-Haired Domestic - male - 3 months and 2 weeks

Shadow was born into our care as one of three of the best ever Christmas Day presents! He and his 2 brothers, Oscar and Thunder, are bouncing, healthy boys, who have been brilliantly looked after their mumma cat, Daisy.

They are all microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and – ready to go to their furever homes.

With his name, of course Shadow is black, and a lovely sleek young kitty. Smart as well as spirited, he loves running and playing with his brothers and anything which comes to paw. Like his siblings, Shadow has also lived happily alongside other foster felines and has received frequent visits from a small dog.

This gorgeous guy will bring a lot of joy and affection to his family, and will probably keep you on your toes between his naps. To keep him safe, his home will need to be indoor only.

Please contact us if you would like to learn more about this lovely boy or to visit him at his Hoxton Park foster home.

Shadow has been in foster care since 16 February 2020, for 1 month

cookie

cookie

medium hair domestic - female - 3 months and 3 weeks

Cookie was dumped, along with her littermates and parents, when her family moved out and left them to fend for themselves... She was underweight but otherwise surprisingly healthy and very friendly when she came into our care a few weeks ago. And, it didn’t take her long to figure out how to put on weight!

Now 3 months’ old, Cookie has proved to be a very affectionate and playful kitty with her humans. Although a little timid at first, she is now also starting to play with the three boy kittens in our care, despite their mumma cat not being exactly friendly towards this interloper….

A medium-haired girl, Cookie has beautiful colouring, with a pretty black and white face with the cutest black nose, and long silky hair sprouting from her ears; she also has a lovely black fluffy tail, and - in between the two - a grey neck and body. She will be a stunning addition to any home! However, she will definitely need time to get to know and feel comfortable with her new family, so patience and plenty of strokes and love will be a must; in return you will be well rewarded given her naturally friendly nature. To keep her safe, Cookie must be an indoor-only kitty.

Cookie is microchipped , vaccinated, and flea and worm treated. She will be desexed prior to her adoption.

If you'd like to visit Cookie at her foster home in Hoxton Park, please text or phone her carer, Karen.

Miss Maple

Miss Maple

Dsh - female - 3 months and 1 week

Please meet little Miss Maple. She came into care with a painful glaucoma and has had a bit of a rough start to life. Once her eye had been removed she learnt how to purr, make biscuits and play with her siblings as she healed.

Miss Maple loves to eat, purr in your arms, and to clean and be cleaned by her siblings. She is doing just fine with her remaining eye and has now learnt to get around and explore her surrounds- an is becoming proficient at swatting at toys.

Since she has been in care with her two sisters (Maggie and Harriet) and three other foster kittens, as well as the resident dogs at her foster home, she'd do well in a family that has some feline or canine friends to play with and doze on. If you don’t already have a pet of your own, it would be ideal if one of her sisters were adopted with her.

Miss Maple is microchipped and vaccinated; her adoption fee includes desexing.

We are taking enquiries for Miss Maple now, with a view to arranging any meet and greets later in the month.
NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols; currently one person at a time.

Her operation has been an expensive one and the cost of Miss Maple's treatment requires additional sponsorship. Her Glaucoma surgery involved removing her massive eye and the vet bill is expected to be a few hundred dollars. Will update with a figure once we have received the invoice. The operation has been a success and she is much happier and purring without the eye

Miss Maple has been in foster care since 23 February 2020, for 1 month

Harriet

Harriet

DSH - male - 3 months

Hullo, my name is Harriet (called Harry for short, as my foster mum didn't realise I was a female feline until recently LOL).

I'm a little bit magic, like Harry Potter and we share a similar "scar". I'm currently in care, growing big and strong with my sisters, Maggie and Miss Maple (see their profiles). I just love exploring and climbing, even on the dogs at my foster home.

I'm the first to make it to the bowls for mealtimes but it's only because I need all the energy to grow and learn, this world is a big place! I also enjoy play, mainly tickling games and chasing ping pong balls. I'm confident and purr often and loudly.

I will need to find a family with respectful older children as I don't like to be picked up all the time. I'm getting used to it though as my foster mum keeps cuddling me. I'd do well in a family that doesn't leave me alone for too long. If you are at work most of the day perhaps you could adopt one of my sisters too?

I'd love to meet you if you think that I'd fit into your home! 🐱

Felix

Felix

Domestic Short Hair - male - 5 years and 1 month

Felix is a night owl, he likes to be out at night and is a great mouser. By day he likes to sunbathe under a tree or nearby to the house.

On rainy days he curls up on a chair or one of the kids bed for a snooze. He’s not and never has been a lap cat but when he wants attention he can be very affectionate.

He tolerates being picked up but is quite vocal when he isn’t happy about it. He’s been in a house with three big dogs and held his own, we adopted another cat (female) to keep him company but that backfired and he hated her. He became territorial and chased her, swiping at her a fair amount. We are relocating overseas and do not feel it fair to put him through a long haul flight so we are looking to home him with someone who can give him a living indoor/outdoor environment.

He’s not actually used the litter tray In years but he used to when he was inside more so if you need to keep him in temporarily he will not mess the house. We just warn that he will never be happy as an apartment cat, he needs room to roam.

Felix was originally rescued at 8 weeks old and he is now 5 years old

Vaccinated to 2021.

Oreo

Oreo

DMH - male - 2 months and 2 weeks

Five little kitties have just come into our care, having been nurtured by a Good Samaritan who found them with their stray mum. Their rescuer has done an excellent job of socialising them, and they are all healthy and happy.

Oreo is a curious little kitty, who loves to play and explore. He is not only very active, but a real sweety.

These kitties have had their flea and worming treatments, and will be vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated and desexed prior to adoption. Not yet 1kg, we estimate they will be available for adoption around Easter time. However, enquiries are welcome now. They are located in Milsons Point.
They are available to indoor only homes.
