Domestic short hair - male - 3 months and 2 weeks

Dash came into our care with his mum, Suri, at the same time as another litter of three kittties and their mum.

What can we say about Dash....Oh, there he goes! ......

Dash is always on the go and a busy body. He likes to be on the move and exploring his entire domain – just full of energy. He is a handsome and confident boy, and he also enjoys a nice petting from his human companions.

He thrived in his active foster family, comprising mum and dad, two kids, cats – both resident and foster, canines and bunnies. On that basis, we believe he will fit happily in with a variety of family environments. Just note he has been in care as indoor only, so for his safety, he must join an indoor only home.

Dash is vet–checked, microchipped and vaccinated, and will be desexed prior to rehoming.

If you’d like to meet Dash (and maybe a couple of his foster 'siblings') at his temporary home in Ermington, please email us.

Dash has been in foster care since 29 November 2020, for 1 month

Archie is a very sweet, affectionate cat, loves to be by your side and or on you always. He will wait for bed time and cuddle close to you.

Loves getting cuddles and pats, he will stay in your arms and just allow you to cuddle him.

Archie is a very handsome little kitty.

Archie is okay with our rabbit and our dog, however initially he wasn't and took a couple of weeks to get used to them, he would hiss a lot , now he is playful with them and doesn't mind them at all, when we bring in another cat or dog , he doesn't like it and needs time to adjust but eventually warms up to them.

Indoor cat only please.

Feel free to drop by and meet Archie.

Archie has been in foster care since 02 December 2020, for 1 month

Cheddar is a male short haired boy who was brought into care as a stray along with two brothers and a sister. One brother and his sister have been rehomed.
He's a shy boy who, once you pick him up, lets you stoke him. He needs someone who is willing to spend time teaching him that he is safe and loved.

Cheddar has been in foster care since 08 December 2020, for 1 month

DSH - female - 3 months and 2 weeks

A nice person contacted DCH to ask us to rescue a mum who was feeding her young kittens in the garden; one of our foster carers responded and took them straight into her family.

These guys – Mumma plus Darla, Tilly and Bravo - have thrived in an active foster family, comprising mum and dad, two kids, cats – both resident and foster, canines and bunnies. On that basis, we believe they will fit happily in with a variety of family environments. Just note they have been in care as indoor only kitties, so, for their safety, they must go to an indoor-only home.

Here is Darla:

This little girl may look a little like Grumpy cat, but Darla is the nicest of all the kittens currently with this carer. She’s the sweetest and doesn’t ever run away. She’s so gentle and loving.
Quiet and laid back, she enjoys settling with her humans as well as her brothers and sisters. A people friendly pussycat, she enjoys being patted and allows you to hold her.

Each kitty is vet–checked, microchipped and vaccinated, and will be desexed prior to rehoming.

If you’d like to meet Darla (and maybe a couple of the family members) at their temporary home in Ermington, please email us.

DARLA has been in foster care since 11 December 2020, for 1 month

Domestic Short Hair - female - 4 months

Luna was found by herself in the engine bay of a car. She came into care quite scared and timid. She has now warmed up to her foster carers and enjoys sleeping in their laps or curling up beside them. She is very energetic and playful, but can still get jumpy around strangers.

Luna will need to go to a home that will be patient with her while she comes out of her shell. We feel she would benefit going to a home with another cat and no young children. Luna doesn't like to be picked up, but once she is comfortable she will come to you for love herself.

Well socialised in a family environment with older children and two resident cats.

Luna needs to go to an indoor only home. She is fully litter trained and comes microchipped, desexed, up to date on vaccinations, flea and worm treated. Luna will be available for adoption after the 2nd of January.

Please provide us with as much information about your family and home when enquiring.

Located in Plumpton, NSW

Luna has been in foster care since 12 December 2020, for 1 month

Tigger is the smaller brother of Cheddar. Both boy have come into care with two brown tabby siblings who have already been rehomed.
He is a shy boy who will hiss at you but not really mean it. He's happy for you to give him a pat and a tickle under his chin/around his ears. He just needs a quiet home with someone who is happy to take the care and time to teach him to trust. He is kitty litter trained, has had all his vaccinations and vet check and is ready to go to a good home.

Tigger has been in foster care since 21 December 2020, for 1 month

Domrestic Short Hair - female - 8 months

Meet Greyhawk. Named for the cute grey stripe (mohawk) on the top of her head.

Greyhawk is a colony rescue cat. She was collected at 6 weeks of age, but was tiny, starving and very sick. She had major trauma to her left eye, which the vet thought would leave her blind. Being the fighter she is, Greyhawk has recovered and has almost full visibility (85%) in her left eye and perfect vision in her right. She is currently on treatment for ringworm and is due to be desexed at the end of January 2021. She will be available for adoption after the vet gives her the 'all-clear' for ringworm. Apporox: early Feb 2021.

Greyhawk is a cute white coloured, and feisty, adventurous kitten, who just loves to play with her human companion. She will chase just about anything.

She freely gives love with purrs, headbutts and leg rubs, but doesn't love to be picked up, except on her own terms. She does enjoy a shoulder ride however. She often runs up the body of her foster parents to take a ride on their shoulders and for a better view of the world. She has also been trained to walk on a lead. So gets very excited when the lead comes out.

Greyhawk is best suited to a completely indoor environment due to her white fur (kept away from too much sun), and would love a fur companion (cat or dog) to play with, but probably not suitable for a family with small children as her feistiness could be a bit too much.

Greyhawk is perfectly litter trained, and eats just about anything. She is currently on a kitten diet, and gets morsels of fresh meat, livers and tiny pieces of chicken neck, which are great for her teeth.

If you are interested in meeting Greyhawk, please get in touch.

Greyhawk has been in foster care since 04 January 2021, for 3 weeks

DSH - male - 2 months and 2 weeks

Crispen came into DCH care a couple of weeks before Christmas with his 4 sisters, Peaches, Maggie, Dotty and Franny, when they were only 12 days old.

Crispen is a handsome little grey kitten, and is the more vocal kitten of his litter who is quite prepared to tell his foster mum when it is time to eat. Crispen is slowly learning not to wake his foster mum up at 4am, and can now sleep in until a more reasonable time of 6am before demanding breakfast.

Crispen has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and is quite comfortable living among them all.

Crispen will be ready for his forever home around the 22nd January, once hehas been desexed, and he will be microchipped and up to date with his vaccinations and parasite protection before being rehomed.

While there is a couple of weeks before Crispen can be adopted he is ready to meet at his foster home located in Bligh Park.

Crispen has been in foster care since 13 January 2021, for 2 weeks

Sophie is such a beautiful, affectionate and loving girl. She is very soft with a gorgeous medium length coat. She absolutely loves to be around people and have a play or just sit and relax. She goes crazy with her plastic ball toy and like to chase things and flick them up in the air. Sophie is very chatty and makes cute trill noises all the time, and will stretch up onto your knee for pats. She is just a delight and is ready for her new home. Sophie would prefer to be the only cat in her new home, if there are other cats she will take time to adjust. She is out going and confident and is the perfect companion and wonderful company.

Sophie has been in foster care since 17 January 2021, for 1 weeks
