Dotty

Dotty

DSH - female

Dotty came into DCH care a couple of weeks before Christmas with her 4 siblings, Crispen, Maggie, Peaches and Franny, when they were only 12 days old.

Dotty is the tiniest of the litter but she has the biggest appetite and she has slowly caught up in size to her siblings. If Dotty is missing she can usually be found curled up asleep with her foster bunny brother. Over the last couple of weeks Dotties cheeky and mischievous nature has slowly emerged.

Dotty has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and is quite comfortable living among them all. Dotty is a more independent loner kitten, often entertaining herself, but she is equally happy to play with the rest of the mob or following her foster dogs around the house.

Dottie is the smallest of the litter so she has taken a little longer to get ready for her new home but that time has now arrived and Dottie will be available to adopt from Saturday (13th Feb), and is ready to meet her forever family.

As we currently receive lots of enquiries for each kitten, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered. If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Kiara

Kiara

DSH - female

Mild mannered Kiara is ready to find her forever home. This well behaved kitty is very sweet in nature. She is independent but loves to be near at the end of the day. Bedtime is when she seeks pats and smoochy cuddles. Your affections will not go unappreciated. In return, she will look into your eyes and purr her way into your heart.

Kiara has been busy socialising and chilling out with her foster buddies (3 cats and a small dog), therefore she is well suited to join an existing chilled out fur family.

Kiara is vet checked, microchipped, desexed and up to date with her vaccinations.

If you are interested in making further enquiries about this little princess, please do not hesitate to make contact. Note: Available for adoption from 9 February.

Greyhawk

Greyhawk

Domestic Short Hair - female

Meet Greyhawk. Named for the cute grey stripe (mohawk) on the top of her head.

Greyhawk is a colony rescue cat. She was collected at 6 weeks of age, but was tiny, starving and very sick. She had major trauma to her left eye, which the vet thought would leave her blind. Being the fighter she is, Greyhawk has recovered and has almost full visibility (85%) in her left eye and perfect vision in her right. The vet has given her the all-clear for ringworm and she has now been desexed. Greyhawk is now ready to meet her new humans. She will be available for adoption from the 8th February 2021.

Greyhawk is a cute white coloured, and feisty, adventurous kitten, who just loves to play with her human companion. She will chase just about anything.

She freely gives love with purrs, headbutts and leg rubs, and is quickly starting to become a lap cat - on her own terms of course. Greyhawk enjoys a good shoulder ride. She often runs up the body of her foster parents to take a perch and enjoy a different view of the world. She has also become accustomed to walking on a lead, but only in the immediate vicinity of her foster caters home. She gets very excited when the lead comes out.

Greyhawk is best suited to a completely indoor environment, with access to a cat run or balcony if possible. Due to her white fur she will need to be kept away from too much sun. She would love a fur companion, either a playful cat or friendly puppy to play with, but probably not suitable for a family with small children as her feistiness could be a bit too much.

Greyhawk is perfectly litter trained, and eats just about anything. She is currently on a kitten diet, and gets pet store food with the occasional morsel of fresh meat, livers and tiny pieces of chicken neck, which are great for her teeth.

If you are interested in meeting Greyhawk, please get in touch.

Greyhawk was adopted on 12 February 2021 after 3 months in foster care

Callie

Callie

Domestic Short Hair - female

Callie required extensive dental work and we're seeking sponsorship to help cover these extra costs. Her dental work has come to $536

Fuss-free independent gal.

If Destiny’s Child was writing a song about a cat, Independent Woman would be Callie’s anthem - she likes things on her own terms. Happy lying around doing her own thing, Callie is a fuss-free cat looking for a peaceful home to keep her safe and warm.

With a shy personality, Callie has been overlooked for some time - it’s hard for her to make a first impression when she’s hide-and-seek champion of the house!

That said, Callie adores other cats and would love a home with feline company. She might not be the snuggliest when it comes to humans, but Callie loves to cuddle up to her kitty friends and purr the night away on the couch.

With the nature of an older soul, Callie could be a great companion for an older person who is looking for some company and not necessarily a needy lap cat. Preferring to lie about in a sunny spot watching the world go by, Callie is fuss-free and low maintenance.

Ready to move in ASAP, we’d love to hear from you if Callie could call your place home.

Located in Quakers Hill NSW.

Callie was adopted on 06 February 2021 after 4.9 years in foster care

Mocha

Mocha

DSH - female

Mocha came into foster care from a western Sydney Animal Shelter around 2.5 weeks of age along with 2 siblings. She has been hand raised and bottle fed and has had LOTS of human attention and handling.

Mocha is a playful kitten who is developing into a great natured kitten.
Loves to play and loves being near you. She can be a little shy of new people and new situations but once she is comfortable she comes into her own and opens up.

She has grown up with 2 siblings and is used to being in a multi cat home.
She has been 1st and 2nd F3 vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated. She is scheduled to be desexed on the 11th January and will be available for rehoming once healed up from surgery.

Located in Acacia Gardens, NSW

Sprocket

Sprocket

Domestic Short Hair - male

Hi, I'm Sprocket. I'm sweet and cuddly and soft and cute as anything with fantastic tabby markings. I love to cuddle up with my brother and sisters but the best of all is Foster Mummy's lap! I love to play tickle tummy with her and then curl up, purring, and fall asleep.

I enjoy playing with my bro and sisters but sometimes they get really full on and I get a little hesitant to join in. My big sister is so cool she can even take on a dog but I think I'd be terrified. I love chasing the bell ball and playing with the furry blue 'snake' by myself. I'm getting really good at playing hide and seek (cos I'm super smart) and my running and pouncing are the cutest in the family, at least that's what I think.

I'm living in the Blue Mountains with my brother and sisters but really would like to have a 'furever' home. A loving family who are home lots to play and tickle my tummy would be fantastic. I think I could get on really well with another cat but no dogs please, they are just too bouncy for me. I am an indoor only kitty.

Sprocket has been microchipped and vaccinated. Desexing is included in the adoption fee.

If you are interested in learning more about this special boy, or wish to visit him at his foster home in Winmalee, please email his foster carer.

Maggie

Maggie

DSH - female

Maggie came into DCH care a couple of weeks before Christmas with her siblings, Peaches, Crispen, Dotty and Franny, when they were only 12 days old.

Maggie is a beautiful peach coloured calico, who wakes her foster mum up with nose and chin kisses, sometimes a little early for her foster mums liking :)

Maggie has been raised with other kittens, cats, dogs and bunnies and is quite comfortable living among them all.

Maggie has been desexed, microchipped and is up to date with her vaccinations and parasite protection. Maggie is ready for her forever home and is available to meet at her foster home in Bligh Park.
