Zebra

Zebra

German Shepard X Staffy - male

Zebra is a german shepherd cross staffy and around 5.5 years old. He is a loving, loyal and friendly dog. He is very social- loves to around people, other dogs and has lived with cats before. He loves chasing a ball, big walks and adventures. He needs a good home with a lot of land and/or somewhere with another large dog would be perfect for him. He is always relaxed and will be excited being in a new environment and around new people. He is prone to feeling anxiety when left alone but this is minimised through a routine and a good walk. Zebra is currently in private care, so please contact Rod Simpson for more information on 0418 239763.

Scooby

Scooby

Kelpie - male

Scooby is a healthy young boy who is turning 4 this year. He is great with all people, and loves playing with kids, but he does jump up a bit so could knock over small ones, but he has never even tried to bite or growl. He gets along well with other animals and has lived with a dog whilst growing up. Currently Scooby lives outside and loves running round the yard and jumping up to see over the fence, so he will need a good fence to keep him in but when he is out and on walks he is lovely, patient and calm. Scooby just can't get enough of water - he loves playing in the hose and the sprinkler - check out the pics!
Scooby is fully vaccinated and desexed, and living with his current owner until we can find him his forever home. To get to know a bit more about Scooby and get to meet him, please call Jo on 0401 900696.

Scooby was adopted on 20 August 2018 after 2 months in foster care

Shi-Loh

Shi-Loh

Staffy x - female

Hi, I'm Shi-Loh (pronounced Shy Low). I arrived from a country pound on 25/07/18 and am currently residing in Sutherland, soon to be moving to Eastwood. I am a medium-sized 17 kg pup, and well behaved, toilet and doggy door trained. I'm super friendly with humans and other dogs, I don't pull on the leash and am very mature for my age. I'm currently sharing the house with two older dogs, a 10 year old and a 14 1/2 year old. We get along well and share cushions during the day. The pound said they couldn't fault me and my foster mum agrees. She would love to keep me but you know, 3's a crowd. I am independent and loving and can 'sit' on command. I would love to find my furever home soon. I'm desexed and immunised and ready to go home. I would love to meet and greet you, so if you like the look and sound of me, please contact Fiona at Sutherland or Jo at Eastwood (from 10 August)

Shi-Loh was adopted on 20 August 2018 after 4 weeks in foster care

Daisy

Daisy

Staffy - female

Daisy is a beautiful little staffy with a lovely personality. She is a little on the shy side but takes everything in her stride. She loves other dogs and is fine with people. She is still a puppy being only 9 months old so she has some typical puppy traits. You couldn’t find a happier more easy going dog.

Daisy was adopted on 12 August 2018 after 2 weeks in foster care

Charlie

Charlie

staffy X - male

What a seriously gorgeous and handsome boy Charlie is and he couldn't be happier now he has found himself in the company of friends.

Charlie's nature is very sweet and evenly tempered. Despite only being young, his play with dogs, cats, children and people is always gentle. In saying this, Charlie just loves his people, so he would be suited to a home where someone can be home with him more often than not. Whilst he would absolutely benefit from having a doggy friend too, the human interaction is incredibly important.

Charlie understands most commands, and is extremely eager to please. He sleeps in at night on his bed and is fully toilet trained, not fussy with his food or over needy, and although strong, walks very calmly on the lead - again eager to just be around people he can love.

Charlie is so ready to meet the people he deserves to be loved by, so if you wish to meet Charlie he is in care at Revesby NSW with carer Rod. Please contact him on 0418 239763 to organise to say hello to this sweet boy.

Charlie was adopted on 09 August 2018 after 5 months in foster care

Lady

Lady

Jack Russell cross Cattle - female

Hi Everyone,

I'm Lady, or practicing to be one! I arrived at my foster home in Sutherland after a two day journey from a Country pound. When my carer picked me up I was so happy I wiggled and licked her so much that she had to sit in the back seat of the car for another short journey. On the way home, we walked the last 2 blocks back to her place and met some of the neighbours. A little boy came running out and put his arms around me. He said he loved me. Wow, how good is that? So that's what they call Love at First Sight! I met my step sisters (Maybe I should have been called Cinderella!) who are much older than me, so they don't have the energy to play with me, so I need to be walked daily. I'm learning commands and don't pull on the lead. I love to sit beside you and I love my food and treats. I'm not yet toilet trained but I learnt how to use the doggy door in about 1 minute flat. I have pink skin around my right eye so it will need protection from the sun. I've had the first of two C5 vaccinations and have been booked in to be desexed. I am a slender 9kgs. You can see that I travel well, am child friendly, love life and would love a life with you. Can you offer me a furever home? Feel free to contact my carer even if I haven't been desexed yet. I will wait for you. Just as a precaution, adult supervision should be arranged when Lady is around small children, in case they are unsteady on their feet.

Tina

Tina

Kelpie Cross - female

Hi I'm Tina, and a natural model! Can you see the photos of me loving my bush walks?? That's also the latest one of me with the pink collar, watching over all my new friends. I was transported from a Country pound along with 3 siblings. I am really good with both other dogs and super curious of kittens, and I'm currently living with two cats. I was born about the end of February which makes me approximately 12 weeks old. I'm pure black, full of energy and super eager to please when you're training me!
I have been microchipped and wormed and have had the first of three monthly vaccinations and I'm desexed - in other words I'm all ready to be all yours! I'm currently located in Eastwood, and you can contact my carer Jo on 0401 900696.
I'd love to meet you soon so I can settle into my forever home!

Sid

Sid

Great Dane - male

Sid has sadly been surrendered to DCH as his owner is allergic to him. He has been raised since a puppy in a family home with cats and small dogs and he is great with them having a loving, gentle nature.

He is a well behaved boy but being large does need an owner experienced with handling a large dog and all that comes with that (ie kids can be knocked over easily). Like many great danes Sid can be timid at first but then is very adoring once he gets to know you, he can similarly be wary of other large dogs on first meeting, but with positive reinforcement over a couple of meetings he will be good friends with them.

Sid was adopted on 12 June 2018 after 1 month in foster care

Cappuccino

Cappuccino

Poodle - female

Sponsorship Needed

Cap is a sweet and gentle mini poodle who loves cuddles and pats, looking for her new forever home. She is good around people and other dogs (never fights, barks or growls except if she is on her own territory if she hears the neighbor's dog barking).

She has come into rescue after being found on the streets in December. Due to some ongoing health issues, the pound she was in was not able to keep her for long and so reached out to our foster carers.
She underwent and successfully responded to the following procedures while in foster care:

Teeth scale and clean
-Two rotten teeth extractions which prevented her from eating properly which is now all better
-Desexing
-Removal of lumps which were tested and were pronounced benign and the stitches are fully healed).
She was on steroid medication for her skin up until the surgery but not any more.

Ongoing medication (roughly $70/month):

-Eyes: Medicated eye ointment for her dry eyes.

-Heart: 2x daily heart med liquid taken on an empty stomach one hour before breakfast and one hour before dinner. She takes this very easily.

Her medical procedure fees were in excess of $1700. If you can help sponsor some of these costs please see how below. *Update 20/4/18: thanks to Jayne, Fiona, Suzanne, Rosita, Robert, Katie and Emily for their donations which have covered $1300 of Cap's vet fees so far*

Cappuccino was adopted on 10 June 2018 after 5 months in foster care

Madaline

Madaline

Pug - female

Maddie is a beautiful little pug who is both friendly and playful and loves to snuggle up by your side.

She is very well socialised and has a friendly nature when meeting other dogs. She is well trained and easy to walk on the lead.

Maddie currently lives in an apartment with a cat. She gets on well with the cat that also lives in the apartment. She is toilet trained. Prior to living in the apartment, Maddie lived on a large property with other dogs so she is used to living in small apartments and large houses.

She is an older dog with lots of love to give and would suit all family types and all dwelling types as well as people with or without cats.

Madaline was adopted on 02 June 2018 after 2 weeks in foster care
