Kampbell

Biscuit

Biscuit

Jack Russel x - male

Weight 5.2kg, 30cm- 52cm (base of tail), this fella is a small treasure, intelligent and a quick learner, also very sweet and affectionate. Loves people, fantastic with kids as he yearns to be the centre of attention. Walks beautifully on lead, rides well (car). He likes to be boss but is not aggressive as gets on great at the dog park with all the dogs, loves his leash free runs and regular walks.

Biscuit is full of personality and can be sneaky, keep an eye on your slippers and shopping bag contents. House trained, sleeps in and out, loves cuddles and has a forever wagging tail. Biscuit does spook easily, can be anxious at times and clingy, but that is improving as he becomes more secure within his enviroment. He truely is a delight and very funny, speaks quietly to himself at times. He is not a big barker or a big digger. Such a small little fella, (gets under your feet sometimes) always ready for an adventure and so loves to play and can amuse himself. No fetch yet but loves a gentle tussle. Would suit an active family or an individual looking for a lifetime friend and companion. I'm certain Biscuitx would bring much joy and laughter to whomever has time with him. At the moment he is in care with a submissive female and they get on like best mates. In care at Padstow.

Biscuit was adopted on 06 January 2013 after 3 weeks in foster care

Doug

Doug

Pug x - male

Meet Doug. This little guy had a rough start to life until his kind owner took him in. But now his owner is ill and can no longer care for him. He needs our help and yours to find him a new mum or dad.

Doug is about the most laid back fellow you could know. He has a funny little goose step walk and when he's not curled up on the couch he likes to plonk along behind you just to be close. He bonds quickly to anyone who is kind to him. He hardly barks and is not a digger of the garden. He likes a back scratch and a belly rub and gets worked up when he plays with you and his stuffed toys which he thinks is great fun. People smile when they see him because he's not your average beauty. He doesn't require long walks and all in all is a low maintenance, very mellow, sweet boy.

Doug is currently located in Waverley

Doug was adopted on 05 January 2013 after 4 weeks in foster care

Jessie

Jessie

Kelpie x - female

Jessie was adopted on 29 December 2012 after 4 weeks in foster care

Kamm

Kamm

Collie Rough - male

Deposit Taken

Kamm has not be socialised and is therefore absolutely terrified initially of strangers and when visitors 1st arrive and he barks non-stop and runs around them. Once they are in the house he settles down. He needs to go to a home that is aware of this and put him on a lead when visitors arrive and allow him the time to realise they are not a threat to you or him. Once he has settled down you could not ask for a more gentle and loving little man.

He is located at Rydal (just past Lithgow) and a property inspection is required before he can be rehomed.

Kamm was adopted on 28 December 2012 after 7 months in foster care

Kira

Kira

Collie Rough - female

Kira was adopted on 26 December 2012 after 4 weeks in foster care

Sammy

Sammy

Labrador Retriever - male

Sammy was surrendered to DCH because his owners will be travelling overseas for long periods on a regular basis and they didn't feel it was fair to kennel him so much. He is 8 years old and originally came from the RSPCA. He is in great health apart from needing to lose a few kilos. Sammy is a typical Labrador

always happy, food motivated, simply loves attention, follows you around constantly

very much your new best friend. He will fetch a ball a little but prefers to be at your side. Sammy has had basic obedience training (Come, Sit, Stay, Heel)

Sammy was adopted on 22 December 2012 after 3 months in foster care

Teddy

Teddy

Miniature Schnauzer - male

Teddy is a very social little man, he gets on well with the other dogs in the yard who are both large and small, he is learning to get on with cats and is good with children. Miniature Schnauzers are easy to care for dogs but do need to be clipped regularly to keep their coat in good condition. Teddy walks well on the leash and loves to ride in the car, he loves company and would be better with another dog around, he is an indoor dog and is house trained

Teddy was adopted on 16 December 2012 after 3 weeks in foster care

Zippa and Cody

Zippa and Cody

Ridgeback - mixed

Zippa 9yo Female Rhodesian Ridgeback and her son Cody 7yo x bred. Both super friendly, quiet, happy dogs! Good with kids and people, ok with other dogs, healthy and vaccinated. Medium sized dogs, not as large as other RRs. In urgent need of a new happy home together!

Kelly

Kelly

Labrador x - female

Kelly is a lovely friendly old girl who came back into our care when her owner died and she had nowhere to go. She is house trained and generally just wants to laze around close by

an ideal companion dog. Kelly is around 10yo but still healthy and fit and so loves a good walk or romp at the off-leash dog park. She is not good with cats but is friendly with other dogs and trustworthy with children. We are looking for a retirement home for her twilight years. She would suit a retired or work-from-home person looking for the loyal companionship of a easy care dog. Kelly is located at Tempe if you would like to meet her.

Kelly was adopted on 10 November 2012 after 1 month in foster care
