Molly

Molly

Medium Cross Breed - female

Molly is an adorable, quiet and very friendly girl who would make a great pet. She has the cutest face is fit, very healthy and has an easy to care for coat. She has some more growing to do but will stay a medium size dog. She likes playing ball and lying down for lots of pats. At a guess she might be a Kelpie x Terrier or Beagle.

Molly has adjusted easily to being part of our family (with 3 kids under 8) and would suit anyone who has love and attention to spare. Molly is currently a happy outside dog and would also love some inside time with her family. She is happy to sit and watch the children play or join in if they call her. She is still at the excitable pup stage but is responding very well to training. She sits, waits and comes when called (well most of the time!). Molly is being cared for in the Hills area and would love to find her forever home.'

Aris

Aris

Jack Russell x - male

Saved from death at the pound, Aris was rescued with his brother Rega. From the initial excitement of coming to our house Aris has settled well, he hardly barks, doing a good job of chasing off the magpies (silently) He is very well behaved in the car, he gets along well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and loves children. He is quite wary of new people, he keeps his distance and wags his tail. He might try coming close for a pat or two but usually leaves it to his brother to do the initial introductions. He will do very well being an only dog or a companion to another. He takes his lead from Rega who came into care with him. He seems not to have basic training. Still resisting the sit unless positioned there, but is progressing. He will walk loose lead now but does not welcome being taken out. He shows signs of excitement when he sees the lead but will run away rather than come willingly to have it clipped to his collar. He is improving but he will need patience in this regard.

Aris was adopted on 03 April 2011 after 4 weeks in foster care

Manson

Manson

Kelpie x - male

Manson comes across very timid at first with his tail between his legs but after a few minutes of trust he is very excited and is super friendly. Manson loves people of all shapes and sizes and just loves other dogs. He always leaves the dog park the most popular dog! Manson is interested in cats and is not aggressive toward them at all. Manson needs a bit of encouragement to get into the car but once he is in there he just loves going for a drive. I would recommend Manson for any family home as long as he will get lots of attention and cuddles and walks to the dog park for his daily social hit. He is a nice easy going boy who will do anything to please you.

Libby and Jackson

Libby and Jackson

Pomeranian x - male

Libby and Jackson have just come into care after being rescued from the pound. At first I thought their nervousness and timidity was due to the change of environment but it is now very apparent that they have been the victims of abuse. Despite this though, they are the most loving and friendly dogs when they come to trust you. As soon as they see me now, they come running over wanting a pat or a scratch on the tummy. They love playing with each other and it's really heartening seeing them chasing each other around my backyard, just relaxing and having fun. Neither Libby or Jackson show any interest in the cats I have and will often be seen sharing their bed or their food with them. Both are beginning to allow my children to get close to them but only if they are gentle and quiet in their approach. Unfortunately, neither dog is able to be walked at the moment as the sight of a lead or chain causes an incredible amount of stress and fear. At this point in time I believe it is imperative that these dogs are adopted together as when they are apart from each other both tend to fret and become quite upset. If you feel you can offer these beautiful puppies a loving and nurturing home please contact me. With a bit of time and patience I really believe you'll be rewarded with two very special companions.

Teena

Teena

Foxie x Chihuahua

Update 25/11/2010:Since being in foster care Teena has really come out of her shell, she likes playing ball (she is learning to bring it back!) and being involved in family activities, she still loves to follow you where ever you go. Teena has recently been in contact with children she loves playing and she is very gentle around them so a family home would be great for her. She walks great on the lead and really enjoys car rides.

Teena is a very sweet natured little girl. She loves nothing more than to have human company and to be an indoor dog. Teena is the kind of dog that will follow you where ever you go, she loves to snuggle on your lap and gives plently of cuddles and kisses. Due to Teena's quite nature a home with no children is best. She would suit a person who is home alot to give her company. Teena does get on with other dogs and cats.

Teena was adopted on 21 March 2011 after 7 months in foster care

Chanel

Chanel

King Charles Cavalier - female

Chanel is an absolute delight with an amazingly beautiful nature. She loves everyone and everything especially people. As soon as she meets you she's all wags and smiles. Unfortunately for Chanel her previous owner was unable to afford her any longer and surrendered her into DCH care. That hasn't stopped her though from being one of the friendliest and most loving dogs that I have ever met. Chanel adores attention and loves pats and scratches, especially on her tummy. Going for walks is another thing that Chanel loves doing but she will need some correction on the lead as she tends to pull from the excitement. Chanel is desexed and up to date with all of her vaccinations. She is house trained and knows simple commands such as sit and stay.Because of her coat, Chanel will require on-going grooming to keep her looking and feeling fabulous. Chanel would be best suited to a household who will provide her with all the love, affection and stability that she so rightly deserves.

Chanel was adopted on 16 March 2011 after 3 days in foster care
