Max

Max

Purebred Labrador - male

Max reluctantly came into care with his sister Rahni who is black, he is a great dog, he is strong and will pull on lead with a harness however with training this would ease. He is a delightful boy who seems very relaxed around girls and women but a bit hesitant initially around men and teen boys. He loves his huge Fitball which they both chase around the garden, he has been in the pool but mostly because he fell in in not realising what it was or where the water started and ground finished, he swam well tho..LOL He is being desexed soon but is available for viewing in the meantime.

Max was adopted on 20 March 2010 after 2 weeks in foster care

Casper

Labrador - male

Casper is a lovely friendly Lab who is very well behaved and loves everyone. He constantly has a toy in his mouth and has worn down his front teeth from doing this. He is great with kids and other dogs. In this hot weather he loves a shell pool filled with water and he just sits in it, quite happy to be cool and not to have to move. He has been on a diet and still needs to lose a few kilos. If you are looking for a happy friendly boy who is quite content to laze around with you and not exert too much unnecessary energy then Casper will be perfect. He is also used to being with other small dogs and would love to have another companion whom he would play with and cuddle up to at night. Benji is used to being an inside dog and is housetrained. He loves to go on walks and is fine off lead as he will come when called. His coat will require some attention but with regular brushing he looks just gorgeous. Tanner

Tanner

Kelpie x - male

Tanner is a very sweet active boy who loves playing with other dogs and loves the company of people. Tanner is learning REALLY FAST. He can understand come, sit and stay, and we're working on inside, outside, bed, and some toilet commands :) He is very friendly, not at all aggressive and would love to play with the cats but hasn't quite learnt about cats personal boundaries just yet. He likes to be wherever his people are and would suit a family situtation.

Tanner was adopted on 19 February 2010 after 2 months in foster care

Reuben

Reuben

Irish Setter - male

Reuben has all the traits of an Irish Setter and at 3 years of age he is only starting to move away from puppy behaviour. He is a very loving dog and loves to get cuddles from you a much as he can. He will lie down on the floor beside you and place his head on you for a cuddle. He is a very big Irish Setter standing at 76cm (30 inches) at his shoulder. He can easily place his head on a bench-top. Reuben is good on the lead, he knows heel, sit, stay, lie down, gently (when feeding him snacks he gently takes the food from you). He gets along well with other dogs and is fantastic with cats as he has spent all his life living with 3 cats

he is very attached to Jack the ginger tabby who came into foster care with him. He can be stubborn when he wants to do what he wants, not the command you are giving him, but will eventually do what is asked of him. Reuben sleeps on his back. He has lived as an inside dog and would require this in his new home. He will also need the company of another dog or preferably a human for company a lot of the time. Reuben would not be suitable in a home with very young children as he would knock them over in his excitement of lolloping over to greet people.

Reuben was adopted on 04 February 2010 after 1 month in foster care

Thorpe

Thorpe

Collie Rough - male

Thorpe is a very friendly and sweet natured boy who loves to play. He has a very thick coat so he needs to be in a hoem where he will be brushed very regularly and must has access to a cool area especially during the hot days. He is very people social and great with other dogs but not good with cats so he needs to be in a cat free home. A property inspection of potential home is required prior to rehoming.

Thorpe was adopted on 04 February 2010 after 2 months in foster care
