Curtis

Curtis

DSH - male

Curtis ... this little guy was rescued from the streets with his siblings , Curtis is the shyest . Taking this into consideration he would suit a quiet single person household . Yes he shy but he is very sweet .

Curtis loves the company of his sister Kara who is also up for adoption , maybe you might consider both .

Curtis gets on fine with the resident dogs and is respectful of the resident cats. He loves his food and is litter trained . All vet work is complete.

Shy timid cats are difficult to rehome are you that special person willing to give him a home .

sponsorship requiredCurtis also has a cloudy eye due to a bout of cat flu .. he has limited vision but it does not slow him down and it continues to improve. He has however had additional vet expenses as a result of the flu and his vet costs to date have come to $405. He should not have any ongoing expenses as he has fully recovered now. Thank you to Amy, Curtis's additional vet fees have now been fully sponsored.

Butterscotch

Butterscotch

Domestic Long Hair - male

Butterscotch can be shy at first when meeting new people but he has the potential to become the biggest smoochiest boy. Once he gets to know you, he becomes a very affectionate kitten and would make the perfect companion to a loving family, or single person household. Butterscotch is getting used to the resident dog and he has made friends with other foster kittens in care. He loves to play, run and explore but his favourite thing would be to snuggle up with you on your lap and receive endless amounts of pats and scratches.

Butterscotch was adopted on 28 May 2023 after 3 months in foster care

Blaise

Blaise

Domestic short hair - male

Blaise is affectionate, sweet, nosey and protective. He loves to follow his hooman family around but will also look for a quiet place to snooze in the afternoons. He came into DCH care with his 4 siblings at 4 weeks of age and has always been a friendly and affectionate kitten.

Blaise loves climbing cat trees and scooting through cat tunnels. He enjoys chasing after balls and feathery kitten toys. He is fascinated with screens (e.g. tv, computer, etc.) and can sit for ages staring at the flash of pictures. He also loves his sleep and will often curl up in a little corner and sleep deeply for hours. His favourite place is in the bathroom after someone has taken a shower - he loves a good steam!

Blaise likes dry and wet food. He is litter-trained and quiet. He is friendly with adults and children (he is exceptionally patient with young children), and he is also friendly with other cats.

If you are looking for a friendly, playful and low-maintenance kitten, then Blaise would love to meet you.

Archer

Archer

Domestic short hair - male

Archer is a stunning, lovable, friendly, playful and cuddly kitten who loves to socialise with hoomans, cats and other kittens.

He was picked up with his 4 other siblings at a shelter at 10 days old and has been bottle-fed by a DCH foster carer until he could eat solid food at 3 weeks old. He has learned from a very early age how kind hoomans can be so he is confident around adults and kids. He also loves to play with cats and other kittens. He is untested with dogs and other animals.

Archer loves to play with feathery cat toys and balls. He scoots up cat trees and sleeps in cat caves or even under the quilt if you let him. Archer has always been a healthy kitten.

If you are looking for a low-maintenance kitten that loves to explore as well as cuddle, Archer would love to meet you.

Chadwick

Chadwick

DMH - male

Chandler, Chadwick and Clarence are 3 brothers born to a young, sweet cat named Cherry. Nicknamed Cherry's cherubs, these young kittens are friendly, playful, sweet and loving.

They are all using the litter trays and scratching posts, and enjoy gallivanting around their foster carer's home, chasing each other, playing with toys and trying to catch their mother's tail.

They are familiar with dogs and the other cats in the house, and would make a wonderful addition to any family who are willing to provide an indoor only home (or with an enclosed cat run outside) and include their new kitten in their family.

Chadwick is the bravest of the litter. He was the first kitten to clamber out of the bed when they were just learning to walk, and he was the first to climb onto the couch and explore the rest of the house.
He is black and white and looks like he is wearing a tuxedo! Very cute, fluffy and medium haired kitten.

Chadwick was adopted on 19 May 2023 after 2 weeks in foster care

Chandler is the fluffiest of the litter. We think he will grow up to be a medium haired cat that will require regular brushing to keep matts and knots out of his fur.

Clarence is a sweet boy, who purrs loudly when you pat him, and who leans in for neck scratches and pats. He takes after his sweet mum, Cherry, as they both crave human attention and neck scratches. They are both looking for their forever home and would suit a variety of families.

Manny

Manny

DSH - male

Manny came into DCH’s care at around 10 days old with his siblings and has grown into a beautiful boy, he is an affectionate, funny, charismatic, and sweet sociable kitten.
When he wants some human love or attention, he will reach up to be picked up for a cuddle or he will plonk himself on your lap for a smooch and a massage.

Manny is happy around both humans and animals, he and his foster brothers play chase and climb all of the things. He is also fine with independent playtime; he is a fun playful little ball of fur who absolutely cannot go a day without jumping around after the wand toy or playing soccer with anything that rolls.

When he and his brothers aren’t in the mood to give each other loving baths before sleepy snuggles, he likes to curl up in his snuggly furry cat bed and make biscuits (kneading). He also likes to go on adventures and explore every nook and cranny, including sneaking into open kitchen cupboards when given the chance, must watch out for that because he is quick and may have once gone unnoticed in a closed pantry for a minute or two. He wasn’t at all worried I still had to coax him out, I think he would have preferred for me to close the door again so he could continue getting up to mischief.

Manny loves his food too, as a growing kitten he needs to recharge often so he can continue zoomies and scoring soccer goals. He thoroughly enjoys his raw chicken neck every Thursday to help keep those teeth clean and because treats are fun.

Manny is currently using pine wood cat litter and loves his Raw Meow and ZiwiPeak meals.
Manny has been raised as an INDOOR ONLY cat and so will need to go into an INDOOR ONLY home.

The $225 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping
  • Worming/flea-treatment
  • Vaccination (3 of 3)
  • Desexing

  • Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in adopting. You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

    Pippi

    Pippi

    Domestic Medium Hair - female

    Foster Carer Required
Pippi requires a new home or new foster carer as she has been in the DCH cattery for many months now and she is such a sweet girl it's not fair to see her miss out on human affection and family life for so long. If you can assist please read her description below and contact us if you think she would suit you.

Pippi was dumped on the streets pregnant, obviously used to human kindness at some time in her life, but she has been on the streets for probably over a year and was quite scared when she first came into care.

Once she trusts you she is very purry and LOVES pats and affection. She loves being patted so much that she'll roll around and gives you headbutts until she gets more. She will probably always be nervous with strangers and new things in her life, but she will be a normal, love bug to her special human (once she trusts you she'll give you little kisses on your nose)

Pippi isn't a fussy eater and happily eats all types of dry, wet and raw foods. Given her age (she's not really interested in toys) and temperament she would suit (older) people who are calm and would just like a household companion to come up for pats a few times a day and who may well turn into a lap cat given time. Pippi is fine with other cats but she isn't very assertive with them so would suit a home with other friendly cats (but not a dominant one who may bully her).

She would be suitable for a reasonable sized apartment.

Pippi is looking for an understanding, calm home who are happy to give her 4- 6 weeks of settling in time to feel comfortable and get to know her new family. (extended trial period available).

Pippi was adopted on 10 May 2023 after 5 months in foster care
