Coco

Coco

Domestic short hair - male

Abandoned, this litter of 6 kittens was fostered by two seperate rescue groups and we have three brothers in care.

The smallest of the three, Coco is a quiet, lovely playful and very affectionate little boy, always after cuddles and happy to purr to indicate pleasure. He has a very soft voice and is always found close to a human, where he will often flop while his brothers engage in rough play before joining them. When done playing, he will climb onto my lap or sit next to me for naps and is a very easy going kitten.

He has been raised in a home with young kids and is not stressed about being handled by them at all. He will make a lovely addition to any family, and we will be sorry to see him go to join an amazing family that will give him the play, love and attention he needs and deserves.

He is ready to meet potential families, though he won't be ready for his new home for another couple of weeks yet.

Boo

Boo

Domestic medium hair - male

Abandoned, this litter of 6 kittens was fostered by two seperate rescue groups and we have three brothers in care.

The most playful and curious of the three, Boo is a lovely playful and affectionate little boy, happy for cuddles when he is done playing. He comes across as a bit shy initially but warms up quickly with affection and is happy to climb into laps to nap or to just sit and watch the world go by- be warned. He will not do that for long before he wants to explore again. He loves playing with his brothers and exploring the world with them.

He has been raised in a home with young kids and is not stressed about being handled by them at all. He will make a lovely addition to any family, and we will be sorry to see him go to join an amazing family that will give him the play, love and attention he needs and deserves.

Shelby

Shelby

German Short Haired Pointer x - female

Shelby is an unusual cross breed with beautiful striking eyes, one blue, one brown, which is typical of the breeds.

She is in wonderful health with a sleek physique, not an gram of fat.

Unfortunately she has not had the training her intelligent mind requires, so she needs ongoing discipline & guidance. she has been left to entertain herself in a backyard instead of being encouraged into agility or scent training. She would make an excellent companion for an active family.

Requiring at least an hours walk/exercise per day someone who enjoys cycling/athletics/sport/jogging/beach outdoor lifestyle would find her romping in heaven & loving you for it.

What is difficult for me to see is how she cowers when I show her hand signals, indicative of being smacked in the past, she has to learn that you are NOT punishing her when you ask for obedience. I use hand signals instead of words so that when I am out at the park my fosters learn to watch me & come with signal rather than me hollering across the park. To see her fall to the ground at the sight of a hand raised is hard but with time & patience she will learn to trust again.

This is not a breed for first time dog owners, she requires clear & consistent boundaries, a kind & confident leader who will ask for conformity & be rewarded with good behaviour.

With a busy mind intellectual stimulation should be encouraged. Both GSP & Catahoula dogs are bred to help hunters so by exploiting their natural instincts of finding through scent alone you are playing to their strengths & will reap the rewards of a loyal & contented dog.

She will NOT do well left alone in a yard all day while you work.

If you feel you can offer Shelby the home she so richly deserves please call to discuss.

Paddy

Paddy

x breed - male

Paddy is one of Gypsy's puppies. Who is a medium size x breed (some northern breed in there) and paddy & his siblings look a bit border collie like, so we expect they will be medium size dogs when fully grown

Paddy is just a lovely, very sweet boy. He loves his dinner and is a very affectionate puppy.
Paddy is a bit of an old soul (I’m sure he has been here before) and would make a great dog for someone who just wants to sit and contemplate (that’s what Paddy does!), although still an active puppy, he will require regular exercise.

Paddy was adopted on 19 February 2015 after 2 months in foster care

Bonnie

Bonnie

DSH / Burmese - female

Tragic circumstances mean that Bonnie is looking for a new home as soon as possible. She belongs to one of my clients who has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Her little dog passed away last year and she has turned to me for help. This morning I went over to take photos (sadly they aren’t the best) and to take Bonnie to the vet for her annual vaccination.

Bonnie completely captivated me, she has the most sweet, affectionate and laid back temperament. She even fell asleep on the vet’s examination table! Bonnie is 7 years old, she is good with dogs, cats and chooks. I think she’d be okay with children too given she’s such a sweetie. Bonnie is desexed, vaccinated, has monthly spot-on treatment for fleas, heartworm and intestinal worms, and is also microchipped.

Bonnie deserves a great new home and I want to be able to give Bonnie’s owner peace of mind that her beloved cat is going to be safe and happy.

Smudge

Smudge

Smudge has come into DCH care after being surrendered directly by the property owner to find a loving home.

Smudge has grown up with a litter of 5 kittens. He is growing very fast and is strong kitten. He has very distinctive features with his dark ears and nose and will make a great addition for a family.

Due to his white fur, he should be an indoors only cat.

He is currently in foster care in Quakers Hill and is expected to be available for adoption between the 18th and 28th of February. He will be desexed, wormed, 1st F3 vaccinated, microchipped and will have had flea prevention applied.

Gracie - Princess Luna

Gracie - Princess Luna

Domestic Medium Hair - female

Hi, My name is Gracie. I am a Tabby Domestic Medium Hair female Kitten. I am now on Hold for my new owner who will kindly adopt me towards the end of January.

I was rescued from the pound 29th of December and my carer has taken me into his care as I was looking sick and in need of an immediate rescue.

I have received vet treatments to help give me a helping hand and to fight off an infection and to help break my fever but am still sick and will be given lots of TLC and additional care over the next 1-2 weeks.

**Sponsorship required 01/01/2015**: Three days into his care, this little 4-5 week old kitten has needed $103 in veterinary care which has included fluids and antibiotic injections and follow up medications. This little kitten has started off the new year needing a helping hand, any support towards his care is greatly appreciated in terms of sponsorship or donations.

** Update 3/1/2015: Gracie has been responding to treatment and her temperature has dropped and she is showing interest in food again. She is still on antibiotics and electrolytes but is showing improvements.

**Sponsorship Update: I would like to acknowledge and thank Miki who has generously sponsored Gracie and has covered off her vet fee of $103. Thank you so very much.**

**Update 4/1/2015. Gracie is looking much better and has started to play games and to be more active. She is looking really good now from her treatments. A new video has been attached of her playing. **

**Update 6/1/2015. Gracie has had a relapse and has needed urgent medical care and addition medications. As we fight with her, the medical bills are increasing and any extra financial support would be appreciated.

**Update 10/1/2015. Gracie is a strong fighter. She has battled this illness so hard and finally seems to be winning the fight. She is now up and around again and eating on her own and is looking so much better than a few days ago where it was looking like we would lose her.
We would like to thank Kellyville Ridge Vet Clinic for their continued support in doing everything they could to help Gracie pull through this illness. Hopefully over the next few days she will continue to improve.

**Update 11/2/2015.- Gracie has been adopted into her new family.
