Freckles and Pascal

Freckles and Pascal

DSH - female

Freckles and Pascal are both just friendly, cuddly kittens.

Freckles and Pascal was adopted on 19 April 2008 after 2 months in foster care

Gretel

Gretel

DSH - female

Poor Gretel found herself in the pound heavily pregnant. To make matters even worse she lost all her kittens shortly after being rescued. Gretel has now recovered from this sad event and is developing into a pleasant feline. Gretel isn't a 'lap cat' but enjoys hanging round the house headbutting people for attention. She likes her own company and enjoys sleeping her days away inside and would make an excellent appartment cat for an older person. Gretel doesn't like to be picked up, but will happily hang around the house all day keeping her owner company. Gretel is a no fuss cat who would just like a home to call her own. She is also available on an extended trial period.

Gretel was adopted on 18 April 2008 after 2 months in foster care

Slinky

Slinky

DSH - female

Slinky, her mother and siblings were found roaming the streets when a kind old lady took her in. This lady contacted DCH after their owners couldn't be found and they were taken into foster care. Six months on, all the kittens and Slinky's mum have found a home and poor little Slinky is starting to wonder why she hasn't found a home herself! Slinky is a friendly girl who loves attention, especially being patted and giving 'headbutts'. She loves the company of other felines and would prefer a home where there is another cat or kitten to play with. Slinky enjoys playing with her toys and exploring the house, she also likes to play with her human companions, or fall asleep in the sun by the window. Slinky isn't a fussy eater and is 100% litter trained. She has a beautiful smooth and shiny coat, and really is a 'no fuss' kitten. Anyone who gives this beautiful girl a home will be rewarded with headbutts of appreciation!

Alice

Alice

Purebred Greyhound - female

Alice is a playful easy going greyhound. Currently Alice lives with two small silky crosses and another greyhound and gets along with them well. Alice is very good on a lead, and in the car and is fully house trained. She it often found snuggled up with her favourite toy on the couch, or carrying a ball or toy around the backyard. Alice loves going to the dog park and will run around till she drops! When she gets really excited she hops around like a big bunny rabbit! She loves to chase the ball and its pretty good at bringing it back. Her favorite place to sleep is in her bed next to ours but is happy to curl up with us on a cold night!

Alice was adopted on 15 April 2008 after 1.3 years in foster care

Tia

Tia

Seal Point Tabby Siamese x? - female

Adopted with her baby Tyson

We think Tia is a seal point tabby siamese or burmese cross. She has a lovely affectionate nature without being overbearing. She softly talks to you but definately not loud like a siamese. Tia is great with children and she has made herself at home on her carers bed and often sleeps right next to you. A lovely natured girl.

Tia was adopted on 12 April 2008 after 1 month in foster care

Tyson

Tyson

Oriental x? - male

Tyson is Tia's kitten and is some type of oriental cross (not sure what dad is). He is a light grey on top but has stripes and a few spots on top, four stockings that are a grey/buff colour. He has a lovely nature too and as you can see from his photo has quite an oriental shaped head and body. We called him Tyson as he was playing with my keeshond and ended up being wet with slober (Tyson sounded more like a robust dog's name so that's how he got it). If the keeshond wasn't chasing him, Tyson was chasing the dog. He is pretty confident and cheeky. Has an athletic little body and enjoys playing. Tyson is brilliant with young children and has made himelf right at home on his carers bed.

Tyson was adopted on 12 April 2008 after 1 month in foster care

Elizabeth

Elizabeth

Chihuahua x - female

Lizzie is a divine Chi X that was not reclaimed from the pound. When she came to us she was overweight and a trip to the vet revealed a lump on her tummy. Since then she has been desexed and the lump (which was a growth) has been removed. At around 8 years old she is not overly playful, she just wants a soft bed to curl up in and a human to adore. She will happily greet you when you get home (She likes to cuddle up to one of your thongs while you are away

not to chew just to cuddle) and is very well behaved inside. She is fine with other small dogs and would happily have another mature canine friend as company. She is also fine with gentle kids (she is only a little dog) but would probably prefer them as visitors rather than live in companions. She isn't a fussy eater and likes to sleep in in the mornings. Lizzie is not fond of cats and would prefer a cat free home. Basically a great little dog who would make a wonderful companion.

Elizabeth was adopted on 10 April 2008 after 4 months in foster care

Teddy

Teddy

Chihuahua x - female

I am a very handsome girl, just check out my photo! I may only be a tiny girl, ( no kids under 6 please) but I'm still very lovable. I'm a people person. I don't need much in they way of walks, but I'll take any cuddles on offer (strangers and gentle children welcome). I have mini foxy heritage so I can easily jump into your lap for cuddles. I probably have been an indoor dog at one time and will take any opportunity to jump onto your couch. I'm cool with other small dogs but really humans are my passion.

I came in with my mate Spike. It would be great if he came too ( we curl up together and eat together) but if he cant that's ok.

So come and meet me

expect lots of kisses

Maverick

Maverick

bay gelding

Private Horse

Maverick is a gorgeous QH type gelding. He is a very good doer and needs an owner that is aware of his diet and won't let him get too fat and risk founder, (he currently requires a dirt yard with very low cal roughage hay, for part of the day). Maverick has not been ridden since Oct 2005. He has possibly been abused in the past and would be best suited as a companion horse, babysitter or pet. He would need someone who has experience retraining horses with behavioral problems if someone was to try to retrain him as a riding horse.
