Rehomed Animals

Marcel is a very little dude with lots of spunk. He loves pats and is very affectionate. He desperately wants a family and always climbs up on his enclosure to get close as possible to you. He has a very cute tiny meow and a very confident boy. Marcel has a slightly bigger brother called Maurice. Both Marcel and Maurice have the same black fur with tabby markings you can see through it. It is an unusual colour called a black smoke. The boys would be great pair to adopt together.

This stunning boy, Zac, has grown up alongside other kittens since he came into our care. Well loved, they had their very own kitty pad to keep them safe from resident foster dogs, but perhaps missed out on the hustle and bustle of home life. The last of the three kittens, Zac has now moved to a different foster home to further develop his social skills and come out of his shell.

Zac is naturally a quiet, sweet and rather shy boy, who is nonetheless up for lots of pats and attention; it is likely he’ll become a real lap cat once he has his own humans with whom to form a permanent bond. He's still kittenish and playful, and has instigated and enjoys nose-touching interaction with the resident giant breed dogs…..and is always keen to explore new places and sounds, especially those out of bounds. He becomes vocal only around feeding time as Zac LOVES his food; this fondness for food has proved very useful to help him learn to trust and to settle, but he is still spooked by new sounds or any events out of routine.

Early days yet, Zac is still a ‘work in progress’, but knowing his two previous kitty pad-mates have moved happily into fabulous furever families, we are sure Zac will also love and flourish with the right family. We believe it could take 3-4 months for him to settle in, given the chance to understand and integrate with household routine. Assigning his own small area like a bathroom or shower recess, or even a large dog crate, at the outset for example, will allow him to be gently introduced to all the exciting (but spooky) new sights and sounds awaiting him. A house where he is an indoor-only kitty will also ensure he has room to explore without adventuring into the unknown beyond. We believe he is likely to thrive best in a relatively quiet environment.

Zac is vet checked, microchipped, fully vaccinated, desexed and comes with an extended trial period so he has time to truly settle in with his new family

Zeppelin was surrendered to Hawkesbury Animal Shelter with his sister, Ziggy, before both came into DCH foster care. These kittens have been bottle-fed and are very sociable with people.

Zeppelin is a confident, affectionate and very playful kitten who has lots of energy and curiosity! This little guy is a great little companion who comes running when you click your fingers and loves to be picked up so much, he jumps up on legs and begs! Zeppelin has one of the most lovable personalities that I have come across in fostering.

As he is so people-focused, Zepp would benefit from a home where he gets loads of attention, and he would also be fine with another cat for company. Balls with bells and toy mice are his favourites at the moment, and he proudly carries them through the house!

The $225 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. Zeppelin is also litter-trained and socialised with other kittens and cat-friendly dogs.

These two beautiful blue bicoloured brothers have lived happily together with their family – which includes two older children – since they were kittens. Unfortunately, they are now in need of another family who will love and care for them just as we have. They must be rehomed together.

Both Milo and Ollie are very affectionate and loving once they are comfortable and trusting with you. Definitely a part of the family, they love to share the bed with you and roam around freely – and will object if locked up in a room away from you. That said, they are of course indoor-only cats, as they would not survive outside.

They will be more suited to a quiet home with no young children, or other pets. They will continue to thrive given the love and attention rag dolls need and deserve; a new owner who has experience with this special breed would be wonderful.

7/3 - Hank has been adopted and is commencing a two week trial adoption period.

Hank was born in an animal shelter facility and came into foster care with DCH on the day he was born. He was born a little earlier than expected and was quite small to begin with but has grown to be a wonderful, affectionate and playful puppy.

Hank's mother is microchipped as a Jack Russell X Pomeranian and his dad is unknown so we have listed Hank as a Jack Russell Terrier cross.

He has been raised in care as an indoors and outdoors dog but always sleeps inside. He is used to using a synthetic grass pee mat for a toilet when indoors.

Hank has received his 1st and 2nd vaccinations and will required 1 more vaccination post adoption to be fully vaccinated.

Hank has been desexed, wormed, microchipped and flea treated.

Hank has a very sweet nature and goes not mind being picked up or cuddled and lots a good pat. Like any puppy he can be a ball full of energy and will chew on anything and everything that he can.

Once Hank has received his last vaccination, we would recommend that he attends puppy school.

Peanut came into foster care from a western Sydney Animal Shelter around 2.5 weeks of age along with 2 siblings. He has been hand raised and bottle fed and has had LOTS of human attention and handling.

He is a beautiful kitten with a beautiful personality. He loves pats and attention and will purr as soon as you get close to him. He has been raised as an indoors cat since he came into foster care so we are looking to rehome him into an indoors only home.

Peanut is a special kitten who will melt your heart once you have seen him and he is looking to join his new family as an indoors only cat,

Desexed, has been 1st, 2nd and 3rd F3 vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.

Buffy and her 4 sisters, Bear, Bronte & Billie, came into DCH foster care at 4 weeks old from Hawkesbury Animal Shelter.

Buffy is a really sweet little Torti who loves pats and cuddles, and she will rub up against your leg to make sure that you notice her. Buffy is very social with people, other kittens and she has also begun to make friends with 2 large Golden Retrievers.

Buffy will fit easily into any loving family who are looking for an affectionate kitten. As she has a medium length coat, Buffy is currently getting used to being brushed, which is usually easy when she is sleepy!

Sophie is such a beautiful, affectionate and loving girl. She is very soft with a gorgeous medium length coat. She absolutely loves to be around people and have a play or just sit and relax. She goes crazy with her plastic ball toy and like to chase things and flick them up in the air. Sophie is very chatty and makes cute trill noises all the time, and will stretch up onto your knee for pats. She is just a delight and is ready for her new home. Sophie would prefer to be the only cat in her new home, if there are other cats she will take time to adjust. She is out going and confident and is the perfect companion and wonderful company.

Dorothy is an independent confident girl who loves cuddles and kisses. She loves to climb of her on scratcher and play with her brothers. Dorothy has a cute little black dot under chin and little black dot on her back leg. She loves to snuggle in her donut bed and she gets food on her face when she eats, which is super cute. Dorothy would suit a home with other animals and would loved to be adopted along with her brother Arthur. He is also listed on the DCH website.

Bella is a beautiful natured dog who is a little bit on the shy side.
She is the mother to two beautiful pups who were born at the pound.
We don't know much about her background other than she was impounded while pregnant and give birth at the pound and we picked her up the day her puppies were born.

Bella loves company and is great to have around the home.
She is house trained and loves to have access to both indoors and outdoors but will sleep indoors.

She is shy on a lead and will need time to build her confidence on a lead.

She is good with kids and other animals.
