Cricket

Cricket

Domestic Short Hair - female

Hi, my name is Cricket. I'm delicate and sweet, but don't let the good looks fool - you I'm smart too and have a mind of my own. I have beautiful white fur with lovely decorative stripes and cute brown bits, especially my ears which wiggle when I'm eating.

I'm living in the Blue Mountains with my sister and brothers but I do need my own forever home.

I love chasing and rumbling with my brothers and sister and the home we are staying in has heaps of places to play hide and seek and I just love pouncing on my siblings. I'm getting really good at climbing and chasing balls, string, toes, anything that moves really. When I get tired I love to snuggle into bed or even better snuggle up into a warm lap with lots of loving pats and I have a purr that you can feel all through you.

I'd love you to visit me and I reckon I could get on with a loving family with children and other cats or a loving single or couple - anyone really who's home lots to give me the royal treatment that I deserve. I'm not like my sister or little brother as I don't feel brave very much so I probably would be scared of a dog, but maybe I could learn they are cute and fun too. I am an indoor only kitty.

Cricket has been microchipped and vaccinated. Desexing is included in the adoption fee.

If you are interested in learning more about this little girl, or wish to visit her at his foster home in Winmalee, please email her foster carer.

Cricket was adopted on 27 January 2021 after 2 months in foster care

Smudge

Smudge

Domestic Short Hair - female

Hi, my name is Smudge and I'm a big girl with a big appetite to go with it. I'm fast, strong and smart. Also I have beautiful white fur with lovely decorative stripes, spots and cute brown bits, especially my ears which wiggle when I'm eating.

I'm living in the Blue Mountains with my sister and brothers but I do need my own forever home.

I love chasing and rumbling with my brothers and sister, and the home we are staying in has heaps of places to play hide and seek and I just love pouncing on my siblings from behind. I'm really good at climbing and chasing balls, string, toes, anything that moves really. When I get tired I love to snuggle into bed or even better snuggle up into a warm lap with lots of loving pats , oh, and I have a purr that you could hear in outer space.

I'd love you to visit me and I reckon I could get on with anyone..... I'm even brave enough to take on a dog! (I think) which is why is another reason that I must be an indoor only kitty.

Smudge has been microchipped and vaccinated. Desexing is included in the adoption fee.

If you are interested in learning more about this lovely girl, or wish to visit her at his foster home in Winmalee, please email her foster carer.

Asha

Asha

Domestic Medium Hair - female

*Adopted with her sister, Annie!

Asha and her siblings, Angus, Addie and Annie were found living under a shed in St Helens Park and had not had human contact when they came into DCH foster care. They still run and hide when startled or meeting new people, so they will need an adopter who will be patient.

Asha is a beautiful medium haired little lady who has just gained her confidence with people and is quite affectionate. She still runs away initially until she knows you but Asha has just discovered that she rather likes pats and cuddles! Asha can be quite active and playful but does really enjoy snoozing on a sunny windowsill.

Asha was desexed on the 8th January, so she will be ready to go to her new home from the 15th January 2021. Annie must be kept as an Indoor Only cat in her new home (this means that she does not go outside).

The $225 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. These kittens are also litter-trained and socialised with other foster kittens.

Asha is now on hold pending Adoption.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Annie is the smallest of the litter and she is still quite shy but now she comes for a cuddle and pat as soon as I sit on the lounge. Annie is a beautiful little kitty who will really thrive and become more confident with some individual love and attention.

DARLA

DARLA

DSH - female

A nice person contacted DCH to ask us to rescue a mum who was feeding her young kittens in the garden; one of our foster carers responded and took them straight into her family.

These guys – Mumma plus Darla, Tilly and Bravo - have thrived in an active foster family, comprising mum and dad, two kids, cats – both resident and foster, canines and bunnies. On that basis, we believe they will fit happily in with a variety of family environments. Just note they have been in care as indoor only kitties, so, for their safety, they must go to an indoor-only home.

Here is Darla:

This little girl may look a little like Grumpy cat, but Darla is the nicest of all the kittens currently with this carer. She’s the sweetest and doesn’t ever run away. She’s so gentle and loving.
Quiet and laid back, she enjoys settling with her humans as well as her brothers and sisters. A people friendly pussycat, she enjoys being patted and allows you to hold her.

Each kitty is vet–checked, microchipped and vaccinated, and will be desexed prior to rehoming.

If you’d like to meet Darla (and maybe a couple of the family members) at their temporary home in Ermington, please email us.

DARLA was adopted on 25 January 2021 after 1 month in foster care

Cuddles

Cuddles

Dsh - female

Cuddles was rescued as a tiny kitten by a good samaritan who then fostered her for DCH. She was sooo cute, she was adopted by her carer whose family loved her dearly. Unfortunately, their circumstances have changed, and little Cuddles now finds herself looking for a new family to adopt and adore her.

Cuddles - who seems to answer to Snowy more readily - is the cutest, sweetest, cuddliest girl you will ever have the pleasure of knowing. Initially, a very shy, slightly anxious young cat, once you earn her trust she will follow you around the house to keep you company, and love you unconditionally!

She’s a very affectionate girl, loves to stay close by her humans, and absolutely adores a belly rub! A gorgeous soul…

Cuddles seems quite sensitive to noise, so would thrive best in a quieter home environment, maybe with just one or two people around most of the time. She may take a week or two to fully settle in, but this gentle girl will make your house happy! Cuddles is an indoor only kitty.

Cuddles is already microchipped vaccinated, and de-sexed, so she is ready to join her new family.

If you’d like to learn more about Cuddles, or arrange a meet and greet at her Surry Hills foster home, please contact her carer, Lauren.

Cuddles was adopted on 23 January 2021 after 3 months in foster care

Luna

Luna

Flemish Giant - female

Luna is a lovely giant breed bunny who is used to living indoors and is litter trained. She is easy to handle and very cuddly.

She is used to being an only bunny but should get along with another large breed if given time to settle with them. She would be fine as an only bunny if she has lots of human interaction.

Luna comes vaccinated and desexed.

Luna was adopted on 22 January 2021 after 1 month in foster care

Tully

Tully

DSH - male

A nice person contacted DCH to ask us to rescue a mum who was feeding her young kittens in the garden; one of our foster carers responded and took them straight into her family.

These guys – Mumma plus Darla, Tully and Bravo - have thrived in an active foster family, comprising mum and dad, two kids, cats – both resident and foster, canines and bunnies. On that basis, we believe they will fit happily in with a variety of family environments. Just note they have been in care as indoor only kitties, so, for their safety, they must go to an indoor-only home.

Here is Tully:
Tully is the quiet one. He was a bit cautious and timid at first, but over time learnt to trust those around him; he enjoys gentle petting and will allow you to hold him. When he feels safe, he loves to explore. Although he initially holds back - given a bit of time - he comes out of his shell and happily comes out to play and explore and lounge around with all the other members of the household.

Each kitty is vet–checked, microchipped and vaccinated, and will be desexed prior to rehoming.

If you’d like to meet Tully (and maybe a couple of the family members) at their temporary home in Ermington, please email us.

Tully was adopted on 18 January 2021 after 1 month in foster care
