Agate

Agate

DSH - female

Agate, her mum and three siblings came into care together.

Agate is a very friendly little kitten who enjoys pats and cuddle time. She enjoys sleeping in the sun and playing with her brothers and sister. Agate recently learned how to use the litter tray on own her and is doing very well.

She likes to chase and rumble with her siblings and would do best in a home with another cat or dog companion.

Agate is vet-checked, microchipped, vaccinated and flea/worm treated. She will be desexed prior to re-homing.

Still very young, we are currently taking enquiries for this little kitty (or her siblings).

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols. Given travel restrictions, a ‘meet and greet’ may instead be arranged via videoconference.

Agate was adopted on 04 July 2020 after 1 month in foster care

Onyx

Onyx

DMH - male

Looking for a best friend? Well, meet Onyx! He came into care with his siblings and mum and has thrived and grown into a little fluffy ball of confident energy.

Onyx is super friendly and loves to be held and lightly stroked, especially on his face. He loves his food and can generally be found checking the dishes for leftovers or fighting off a sibling to get to mums milk. Onyx has also happily lived alongside his carer's canine companions.

He will be suited to most families but would prefer a home with another pet that he could interact with.

Onyx is vet-checked, microchipped, vaccinated and flea/worm treated. He will be desexed prior to re-homing.

Valla (now Finch)

Valla (now Finch)

Domestic Medium Hair - female

Valla

Indoor Only Cat

Available From 18 July 2020

Valla and her 5 siblings (Vader, Vincent, Vonnie, Violet, and Vindi), were found living under a house with their mumcat when they were about 4 weeks old. The litter of 6 kittens were brought in to foster care and Mumcat was desexed.

Valla is a beautiful kitten with a fluffy calico/silver tabby coat. Although loud noises still have her running for cover, Valla is a very confident kitten who is rather bossy with her siblings and likes to be the centre of attention. For this reason, Valla would probably be best as an "Only Kitten" although she is beginning to be braver with our Golden Retrievers.

The $200 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. These 6 kittens are also litter-trained and socialised with other kittens and cat-friendly dogs.

Valla will be desexed on 14th July, and will be ready to go to her new home from about 18th July 2020.
You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH

Bella

Bella

Domestic - female

Bella has been surrendered into foster care and is in need of a new home.
She currently has anxiety from being in a home with a very active young dog and she needs a new loving home where she will be the only pet in the home where she gets all the attention to herself.

Bella is approx 4-5 Years old and is desexed.
She is deaf (Since birth) and has been with the previous owner since she was a kitten. She looks like a Turkish Angora in appearance but as we have no confirmation on it we have listed her as a domestic.

She is a beautiful cat with a loving personality and needs a special loving family who can look after her.

She is currently vaccinated and her Next Vaccination is due on Jan 2021

She is house trained and litter trained and uses crystal litter and is very specific on which ones she will use.

Bella is best in a home without young kids. She can tolerate them but she needs to be eased into dealing with kids and due to her anxiety she will tend to leave them along and prefer to be a quieter place.

She is used to living Indoors but has some supervised and limited outside activities.

She only eats whiskas food (jelly or gravy flavours) beef & chicken variety ones
She loves raw chicken breast and salmon. And loves felix treats.

She is very shy at first but shes playful with laser lights and toys when shes not stressed or has anxiety. She doesn't like being touched near her back side but she loves bring scratched under her chin and forehead. She also Loves a soft massage too on top.

With her adoptions she will come with all her toys that she is used to and will come with some provided food and treats to get the new owner started. The items will her calm her down in a new environment so that she has some familiar items.

All she needs is the love and time she deserves and a quieter home.

Bella was adopted on 28 June 2020 after 1 weeks in foster care

Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo

Domestic Short Hair - male

Jimmy Choo came into care with his brothers Hugo Boss, Skechers and Valentino at about 2 weeks old weighing less than 200 gms.

Jimmy is an old sole in a kitten body, and while his personality is still developing Jimmy has always been a calm, watchful kitten. While not overtly affectionate, Jimmy Choo is comfortable being picked up, have a belly rub or play and sleeps most nights on his foster mums bed.

Jimmy is an unusual little kitten who refused to give up the bottle until he was over 1 kg, and then moved straight on to dry food, no matter what is offered Jimmy has shown no interest in any type of wet food, be it canned food, pet mince or even BBQ chicken (normally a favourite kitten treat) – this doesn’t appear to affect his growth as Jimmy has and remains the biggest boy of the group.

Jimmy Choo has been raised in a house full of foster sibling kittens, adult cats and dogs and he gets along with them all. While Jimmy is a chilled laidback kitten, he has been raised in a single human household so will need a little time to settle into the energy and noise of a household of multiple humans.

Jimmy Choo is litter trained, microchipped and has been desexed, had his first vaccination and is ready to meet his potential forever family.

A visit with Jimmy Choo can be organised at his foster home in Bligh Park, with visitors being required to adhere to DCH COVID-19 operating guidelines, which are linked at the top of this page.

Please note, you must be over 18 years old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH Animal Adoptions.

Jimmy Choo was adopted on 27 June 2020 after 2 months in foster care

Skechers

Skechers

Domestic Medium Hair - male

Skechers is a little fluffy ruffian – the only kitten in his litter with slightly longer fur, Skecher always looks a little rumpled as if just waking from a nap. Skecher was a tiny little kitten at only 117gms the day he came into care with his brothers Hugo Boss, Valentino and Jimmy Choo at about 2 weeks old, and while it was touch and go at the beginning Skecher has let nothing hold him back.

While Skechers is confident climbing to the top of the cat tree or other furniture, he is also the kitten most likely to call out for help to get down – and he is very dramatic about it to.

While he has been raised in a household with multiple cats and dogs, Skechers foster home is a single human household and the increased energy and noise of other people may make him a little nervous at first, so he will need a little time to settle into his new home should multiple humans live there.

Skechers is litter trained, microchipped and has been desexed, had his first vaccination and is ready to meet his potential forever family.

A visit with Skechers can be organised at his foster home in Bligh Park, with visitors being required to adhere to DCH COVID-19 operating guidelines, which are linked at the top of this page.

Please note, you must be over 18 years old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH Animal Adoptions.

Skechers was adopted on 27 June 2020 after 2 months in foster care

Valentino

Valentino

Domestic Short Hair - male

Valentino is a handsome little champagne kitten who has known he is a cutey since the day he came into care with his brothers Hugo Boss, Skechers and Jimmy Choo at about 2 weeks old weighing less than 150 gms.

Valentino is a cheeky little character, and will lie in wait before pulling a ninja move or boxing stance on his foster mum or foster dogs.

While usually a confident little kitten, Valentino has been raised in a single human household and the increased energy and noise of other people does make him a little nervous, so he will need a little time to settle into his new home should multiple humans live there. But if given the time to get comfortable, Valentino will quickly become a little purr-baby happy to play or snuggle in for a nap.

Valentino is litter trained, microchipped and has been desexed, had his first vaccination and is ready to meet his potential forever family.

A visit with Valentino can be organised at his foster home in Bligh Park, with visitors being required to adhere to DCH COVID-19 operating guidelines, which are linked at the top of this page.

Please note, you must be over 18 years old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH Animal Adoptions.
