Amber

Amber

Domestic Short Hair - female

Amber has grown up alongside other kittens since she came into our care. Well loved, they had their very own kitty pad to keep them safe from resident foster dogs, but perhaps missed out on the hustle and bustle of home life. Amber has now moved to a different foster home to further develop her social skills and come out of her shell.

Early days yet, Amber is still a ‘work in progress’! She is by nature a shy cat, but particularly needs to develop familiarity and acceptance of day to day occurrences, like visitors. Currently, she is prone to run and hide, which makes meetings with prospective owners somewhat difficult.

All that said, Amber really loves affection when she gets used to you, so will be a very loving cat to her new owner once she feels at home, and that shouldn't take too long, only a few short weeks for her to start to settle in and get to know you.

Amber will thrive in a quiet home, with special furever human(s) who are happy to take the time and patience to nurture her during what will probably be an extended settling in period. She has never been outside, so must be an indoor only pussycat.

Amber is vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.

Should you be interested in learning more about this unique kitty, or arranging to meet her, please contact her carer, Megan.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols.

Amber was adopted on 06 June 2020 after 1.4 years in foster care

Jasper

Jasper

medium coat DSH - male

Plump little Jasper came into care with his 3 siblings. He is still nursing with mum for the time being but has started eating kitten mousse recently and it turns out that he loves it!

At the moment he and his siblings are learning to run and jump and Jasper is quite brave, making it to the second tier of the cat scratch tree and then jumping back down. He is a very friendly little kitten and will usually run to the door as soon as he hears it open.

Jasper loves to be held and cuddled or just sit on your leg as you do your work. He has a lot of energy and loves to interact and play with his brothers and sisters, as well as his canine companions. He also enjoys chasing after toys and pushing ping pong balls around the floor.

Jasper would make a wonderful addition to most homes. He will need to be kept indoors.

Jasper is vet-checked, microchipped, vaccinated and flea/worm treated. He will be desexed prior to re-homing.

Still very young, we are currently taking enquiries for this little kitty (or his siblings).

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols. Given travel restrictions, a ‘meet and greet’ may instead be arranged via videoconference.

Jasper was adopted on 06 June 2020 after 4 weeks in foster care

Tilly

Tilly

Staffy X - female

Hi my name is Tilly! I'm about 3 years old and am mum to some of the puppies on the website at the moment - like Dory and Shadow! In total I had 9 puppies, and now they are all big enough I've been desexed and am ready for my retirement home!!!
I absolutely love people, I'm very cuddly and really lap up all your attention. I'm also very obedient, and whilst I need further training, I should learn really quickly with the right teaching!
I won't be suited to a home where there are other cats, as I'm afraid I'm not very friendly with them. I can go to a home with other dogs, but probably not any that are smaller than I am.
I'm up to date on vaccinations and microchipping, and given I'm desexed, I'm ready to go!! Please call my carer Rod on 0418239763 to ask more about me and organise a meeting, please don't email as Rod doesn't have a computer right now!
See you soon!

Ziggy & Casper

Ziggy & Casper

DSH - mixed

Ziggy and Casper are very pretty young cats. They are pure white except for a grey slash on the top of their head.

Ziggy loves life and is always looking for a game to play. She is very affectionate but gets scared when someone new comes around. She has settled very well into her foster home and gets on well with everyone else in the house, cats and people.

Casper is a little bit scared when someone new comes around but when he is left to himself, he enjoys climbing in a lap for a purring cuddle. Casper gets a little bit anxious when he cannot see his siblings and therefore would be better finding a home with Ziggy

They are microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.

Ziggy & Casper was adopted on 04 June 2020 after 10 months in foster care

Ziggy

Ziggy

Domestic Short Hair - male

Ziggy is in foster care with his 2 brothers. He is the most confident of the litter and loves to follow people around. Ziggy is ready for meet and greets now and will be available for adoption soon. Please contact his foster carer via text or call if you would like to enquire about Ziggy.

Ziggy was adopted on 30 May 2020 after 4 weeks in foster care

Fia

Fia

Kelpie X Border Collie - female

Hello! My name is Fia. I'm approximately 6.5 years young and am a Border Collie X Kelpie.

The first thing you should know about me is that I am a people-loving dog - I truly cannot get enough of them. Hugs, kisses, playing, walking, I am there. In my foster home I've found my new favourite place is truly where ever my foster carers are, and often recently that has been in the middle of them, taking up most of the lounge! And whilst I'm there, I make sure to swap which end my head is so I've always got my head and paws right up close to them, in the perfect spot for pats. In my previous home I also lived with 2 children, and I absolutely loved them. I'm super gentle and watchful, so would be more than happy going to a home with children of any age.

Living up to my breed, I'm a super smart and attentive girl. In my previous home I was really well trained, and so I know all the usual commands and always come when I'm called. This really helps my 'on the lead' skills. I am an active walker, and whilst I don't necessarily pull there will always be tension on the lead. I'm a bit stronger at the start too, but then once I'm in my rhythm then the slack on the lead gets better again. When walking past other people I don't show any interest, so thats good as I'm not walking in all directions at all.

The only thing I pay a bit of attention to on my walks, and when I'm out, is other dogs. I've not shown any aggression towards other dogs since being in my foster home, but I do get fixated and tense when they are around. I have been introduced already to other quiet dogs and again, haven't done anything wrong, however I'm not sure if one may push me a bit far and then I might not be okay anymore! In my previous home my owners said that I was dominant with other dogs, but they were able to let me off and once my excitement had settled down I was absolutely fine playing with others. As a result, it may be better that I go to a home without other dogs around - then I get all the attention too! If you do have another dog they would probably need to be quite quiet, and we would need quite a few meetings before we could say we would be okay living together.

Finally, given my breed again, I would be best going to a home that has a good backyard and really good, high fencing. My old owners tried to rehome me previously and I was able to escape, but I haven't shown any interest in getting out of my foster carer's yard.

My paperwork with the council is still be processed, and I've got to be vaccinated at the vets, which will hopefully mean I'm ready for my new home in about 3-4 weeks. Please call Gemma, my carer, on 0435939858 to chat and maybe come and meet me!

Kisses and hugs, Fia

Bella

Bella

Kelpie - female

This lovely mature lady is Bella, but don't let her age fool you! She is an active and fit who loves her walks, but certainly also loves those cuddles.
She is very very friendly and gentle with all people and children, having grown up with children in her own home.
She has perfect manners both on and off the lead, and is well trained and obedient.
Bella had to leave her old home due to fights between her and the older dog, and an ongoing cat fixation. As a result, it would be best that Bella does not go to a home with either dogs or cats, and she gets all the attention to herself!
Please contact Gemma for more information.

Dennis

Dennis

DSH - male

Dennis has recently been surrendered into DCH care along with his brother, Jeff. Their owner unfortunately found himself unable to keep them, and then they had a bit of a rough time staying with a dog which didn't take to them at all. We believe they would thrive best in a forever home as a single pet companion (together or separately).

Dennis has a wonderful silky black coat, and his chest and chin looks as though they were just dipped in some white paint. His super power is his long, fluffy and swishy black tail. 🙂 He loves pats, cuddles and food too. He also likes being cradled like a baby and chin scratches.

Dennis has been vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated and desexed, so enquiries are welcome now.

The brothers are located in Milsons Point.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols. Given travel restrictions, a ‘meet and greet’ may instead be arranged via videoconference.

Dennis was adopted on 25 May 2020 after 3 weeks in foster care
