Quezo was adopted on 21 December 2020 after 4 weeks in foster care

DSH - male

Seb, a beautiful ginger boy, with striking flash-like eyebrows and 3 legs.

A typical young adult, Seb loves his sleep, his favourite spot during the day is on his cushion in front of the window, dozing in the sun or watching the world go by.

Seb can still be quite cautious when people are walking around but is getting better with that. He is scared of lound noises and can be easily scared. He is best in a home without young children and without other pets.

He has unfortunately had a major accident and recently and had to have one of his back legs amputated. He is still learning his balance and adjusting to his new life on 3 legs but he won't let this stop him. He has recovered quickly from his surgery.

Like many cats he is still not comfortable with being picked up and cuddled but he’s very friendly and enjoys company. He will allow you to pick him up but you can tell he is not happy about it. He loves a head scratch and a stroke and will cuddle up to his carer in bed, just to be close. He also makes the cutest little squeak when he wants to be noticed so at times there’s lots of squeaking to be heard.

He also enjoys his specific treats and it’s become a bedtime routine after playtime for Seb to jump onto the bed waiting for his carer to bring the treats which he is happy to take from his carers hand. Seb is a very fussy eater and will only eat specific foods.

We believe it is likely that Seb will take some weeks to fully settle into the routine of his new furever home - so may well suit experienced cat people, with lots of time and patience as well as lots of love to share. Their reward will be great.

Seb is an indoor-only kitty. Preference is a single story home with no stairs.

Seb has been microchipped, vaccinated and desexed, so is ready for his new home. He is located in Quakers Hill.

If you are interested in learning more about or providing a home to this gorgeous boy, please contact us.

Seb was adopted on 19 December 2020 after 5 months in foster care

DSH - male

Sam was rescued from Hawkesbury pound and is in need of a new home

Sam was adopted on 13 December 2020 after 1.7 years in foster care

DSH - female

MMMMMM let me see how would I describe Paisley ...well... DIVINE DIVINE DIVINE DIVINE DIVINE.

I am presently just taking expressions of interest as she still has a week or 2 in care but let me tell you this is one gorgeous little girl sweet as , confident , affectionate she has it all.

When Paisley first arrived in care she walked straight up to the resident dogs and smooched each one so yes she would be fine with a cat friendly dog.
She is good mates with the other kitten in care who is slightly older than her and she seems to take everything in her stride. Paisley purred all the way through her vaccinations and microchipping.

Would I like to keep her?? you bet I would but being a foster carer I know that would be counter productive.

Paisley has been flea and worm treated and has her first vaccination and has been micro chipped her adoption fee will cover desexing at one of DCH's approved vets when she is old enough.

Paisley would fit into just about any household.
She is in care in the Granville area.

Paisley was adopted on 12 December 2020 after 3 weeks in foster care

Domestic Short Hair - male

Yoshi and his 3 siblings, Yuki, Yoda & Yoko, were handed in to Campbelltown Pound after being discovered in an inground pool filter. Unfortunately, the mumcat could not be caught so these 3 week old kittens were fostered by DCH and bottle fed.

As they have been around people since very young, they are extremely well-socialised and quite confident. These kittens must be kept as Inside Only cats for their own well-being and safety.

Yoshi is a beautiful dark tabby boy who is playful, affectionate and has a strange little croaky meow! He is quite adventurous and inquisitive but will always find you for a cuddle and likes to curl up next to a human every evening. Yoshi would suit most families who have the time to give him affection and keep him safe as an indoor cat.

The adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. These kittens are also litter-trained and socialised with other kittens and cat-friendly dogs.

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in adopting.

As we currently receive lots of enquiries for each kitten, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets to be considered for adoption. If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Yoshi was adopted on 11 December 2020 after 2 months in foster care

Mini Foxi X - male

Harley is a beautiful Mini Foxi who has found himself in need of a new home.

He was hit by a motorbike in November and was rushed to a 24X7 hospital by a good Samaritan who helped him and got him to the vets. The vets took great care of Harley for a week to help him recover from his injuries. They discovered via x-ray that he has a broken pelvis and is on a mandated rest and recovery period to recover from his injury but is not on any medications or treatments.

After a week in hospital he was sent to the pound as an un-microchipped stray as no owner had come looking for him at the vets. Harley remained at the pound for his impound period but unfortunately he was not claimed by his owner and has been released to rescue to rehome him once he has finished recovering.

Harley is a smart dog and is very friendly. His tail is always wagging and is a happy dog. He knows "Up" when your sitting down and will jump up into your lap for a cuddle. He will beg for treats and attention. He walks well on a lead.

He has a strong attachment to his humans and gets anxious when they go out of site so has some separation anxiety. He seems to be ok with a similar sized female dog and they are currently getting along ok.

Based on his current personality we would like to rehome him into a home with no other dogs and with an owner who is home more often than not. An experienced dog owner is probably ideal. Harley will need some time to adjust and settle into a new life and we just need to find the right home for him. He will need a home with a secure yard and fencing and will need to be able to be an indoors/outdoors dog as he needs to be near his human. He is best in a home without cats as he seems to want to get at them and will probably chase them if given an opportunity. He does not like having his mouth or side of the face touched. He would be best in a home without young children but seems to be ok with him as he is more interested in what the adults are doing.

Harley has been comfortable in a car in his past life as he gets very excited when near the car and when you open the door he wants to try and jump in.

Harley will be available for adoption once he has been desexed and had a heart worm test and been given the OK by the vets to be rehomed. Expressions of interest are welcome now.

He has received an F5 vaccination, worming and flea treatments and is now microchipped.

Located in the Quakers Hill area.

4/12 - Harley has been placed on Hold while we review enquiries that have been received.

Harley was adopted on 10 December 2020 after 1 weeks in foster care
