Zelda (Now Midna)

Zelda (Now Midna)

Domestic Short Hair - female

Zelda was surrendered to Hawkesbury Animal Shelter by herself and came into DCH care when she was about 5 weeks old. Nothing else is known about her.

Zelda is a very confident little lady who likes to see what's going on in the house and will explore at every opportunity! She can be very vocal if she’s hungry or is looking for you, and she loves being spoilt with attention. As Zelda is almost puppy-like, be prepared to be followed around the house!

The $225 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. These kittens are also litter-trained and socialised with with adults and other foster kittens. Zelda must be kept as an Indoor Only cat and should not be allowed to venture outside.

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in adopting.

As we currently receive lots of enquiries for each kitten, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets to be considered. If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Zelda (Now Midna) was adopted on 10 January 2021 after 2 months in foster care

Angus

Angus

Domestic Short Hair - male

Angus and his siblings, Annie, Addie and Asha were found living under a shed in St Helens Park and had not had human contact when they came into DCH foster care. They still run and hide when startled or meeting new people, so they will need an adopter who will be patient.

Angus is becoming more confident with visitors and is affectionate with the people that he knows. He has a lovely plush coat and is eating Royal Canin wet and dry food. You will need to give Angus time to settle into his new home but he will become a great little companion.

Angus is being desexed on the 8th January, so he will be ready to go to his new home from the 10th January 2021.Angus must be kept as an Indoor Only cat (this means that he cannot go outside).

The $225 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. These kittens are also litter-trained and socialised with other foster kittens.

Luna

Luna

Domestic Short Hair - female

Luna was found by herself in the engine bay of a car. She came into care quite scared and timid. She has now warmed up to her foster carers and enjoys sleeping in their laps or curling up beside them. She is very energetic and playful, but can still get jumpy around strangers.

Luna will need to go to a home that will be patient with her while she comes out of her shell. We feel she would benefit going to a home with another cat and no young children. Luna doesn't like to be picked up, but once she is comfortable she will come to you for love herself.

Well socialised in a family environment with older children and two resident cats.

Luna needs to go to an indoor only home. She is fully litter trained and comes microchipped, desexed, up to date on vaccinations, flea and worm treated. Luna will be available for adoption after the 2nd of January.

Please provide us with as much information about your family and home when enquiring.

Located in Plumpton, NSW

Luna was adopted on 07 January 2021 after 4 weeks in foster care

Teddy

Teddy

Domestic Short Hair - female

Teddy is in need of a new home or a foster carer who can look after her until a new home is found. She is still with her owner however they need to find her a new home.

Teddy is a kitten still and can be feisty and can be quite playful but it’s on her terms. She likes affection and can be sweet etc. on her term.
Se isn’t an overly cuddly kitten and will let you know when she has had enough (will nip, swipe and meow) - she is improving but needs a patient home who can give her lots of space.

Leo

Leo

DSH - male

AVAILABLE FOR MEET AND GREET FROM FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER; REHOMING SHORTLY AFTER

Mum and her 4 kittens (Lucy, Leo, Maddie and Milo) were surrendered into the care of DCH after being rescued struggling to survive in a back garden. They were all treated for cat flu immediately, only for them to develop ringworm (a common fungal condition) during their recovery. The poor little mites were, however well fed, vet treated, medicated and bathed to make them all better, and basically have been pampered as though they are in a spa! Despite being in isolation in a (rather large) space until recently, they’ve also had a great time - playing with just about anything, getting up to mischief, sleeping, eating, and snuggling with each other and their foster mum.

Like all kittens, they are full of beans in between naps – particularly just after dinner and early morning!

Leo is the baby of the bunch. He’s quite a bit smaller than the others, but that doesn’t stop him and he’ll get in there for a tumble around with the rest of them. He’s got a quirky tail that curls up over his back, which is very cute. He’s now enjoying his belly rubs, and is getting used to being picked up. He loves curling up with his sister, Lucy

Now fully healed, each member of the family is ready for his/her furever home. A family without resident cats or dogs would be preferable – so maybe you’d wish to consider adopting more than one of this little tribe! All must be indoor-only kitties – particularly as they all have little pink noses, which can be susceptible to skin cancer.

Leo is vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated, and desexed. So he is raring to go to his new home.

If you are interested in learning more about little Leo, or wish to visit him at his foster home in Colyton, please contact Daphne

Lucy is a little sweetie. A good natured kitty, she has never objected to her regular washes, nor being picked up. She is one of the quiet kitties of the litter, together with her brother Leo. They love to play with each other and are often found curled up together.

Souffle

Souffle

domestic medium hair - female

Souffle is so beautifully soft and fluffy. She has a gorgeous little face with big whiskers. She is floppy and very cuddly and loves to be picked up by humans. She loves to chase her siblings Parfait, Tiramisu, Cheesecake and Custard. She would love to find her forever family with one of her bothers and sisters.
She was born whilst in foster care and her mummy Sophie has done a great job toilet training them and teaching them other cat things like playing with humans and falling asleep on them.
This family of kittens are named after desserts because they are all deliciously cute so cute you could eat them all.
Souffle will be desexed, mircochipped, vaccinated and wormed before adoption.

Souffle was adopted on 01 January 2021 after 3 weeks in foster care
