Hi, I’m Shade and I’m a 10 year old gal looking to find a companion who will love me and give me a forever home.
While I am a little timid at first, once I feel comfortable I love showing off my senior dancing skills with tippy taps and will waddle over to greet anyone new with a wag and I will gladly take a pat or belly rub.
I grew up with - let’s be honest, I was more likely bossed around by - a Labrador and cat however both have crossed over the rainbow bridge. My foster family can easily see how I would not have minded being bossed around as I am the sweetest, most submissive girl. I also grew up with four tiny humans and I am currently being fostered by a family with two other tiny humans aged 5 & 4 and I am beautifully calm and will happily take pats from anyone.
While I was previously an outside dog, my foster family have set me up with my own bed inside and you’ll struggle to see me anywhere else during the day. I take two or three toilet breaks but will otherwise hold my bladder alllll night and just want to lay in bed the whole time. I am a very quick learner and in just 3 days I learnt how to use a doggy door so I can come and go as I please.
I’m quite hesitant going on walks as I haven’t been on many in the last few years but when I have made it out for a walk I’m mostly there to catch up on all the neighbourhood goss at each and every telegraph pole that my fellow canines have stopped at. You won’t catch me breaking any records with the pace I walk at!
I'm not for anyone who wants a dog to exercise with but I'm sure I'd make a good friend for an older couple or single person or a family with young kids.
Shade was adopted on 03 July 2021 after 2 weeks in foster care

Hi, I'm Ace and I'm looking for my forever home with a family, person or couple who has as much energy as I do. I love to run and play with other dogs and I have lots of energy so going to the dog park and playing with other dogs is one of my favourite things.
My previous owners taught me basic commands such as sit, stay and come but I do have to admit that when it comes to walking on the lead I do need further training.
I'm a young and energetic dog so you may want to think twice if you have very young children because I wouldn't want to accidentally knock them over. However, if you love the outdoors and exercise I would love to go on outings with you.
I'm just over 1 year's old so I'm really just and bit of a puppy still and can still do some puppy type things but I'll grow out of that soon.
I can be a bit standoffish with men at first but if you are kind to me I will reward you with love and affection.

Taken into care with his brother and 2 sisters, Sunny is one of the bigger kittens of the litter. He is also the most curious and most adventurous.
Sunny is incredibly friendly and occasionally climbs up his carer's legs if he thinks he’s not getting enough attention.
He is very happy to be picked up and cuddled and has a contest every night with his brother Shadow to be the one who can snuggle closest to his carer in bed when it’s time to sleep. Sunny usually wins.
He’s full of energy, very playful and loves to race around with the other kitties chasing toys. The new game is hiding under the hallway rug which has be to put back in place every morning.
When he’s not racing around during the day he can often be found snuggled up with Shadow in a warm spot in front of a window.
Sunny is microchipped and desexed. He has had his 1st vaccination and is up to date with his flea and worming treatment so he is ready for his new furever home. He is an indoor only kitty.

If you are looking for a kitten that loves human attention, look no further that Mr Meowgi. Mr Meowgi loves nothing more than to participate in his foster mums zoom meetings to make sure his opinion is heard, and once he is satisfied his demands are understood he curls up on the desk for a nap until his next meeting to right the world.

Winnie and her 2 siblings, Willow and Wesley, were found abandoned at 3 weeks old and were surrendered into DCH foster care. Winnie was then initially adopted in October 2020.
Fast forward to May 2021, and Winnie came back into DCH care after she was found wandering outside by herself in Cobbitty. Her coat was matted and she was very hungry but she was still the beautiful, affectionate girl that I remembered bottle feeding 8 months ago!
(Winnie's original adopter was contacted but due to unfortunate circumstances, they cannot take Winnie back.)
Winnie has become a gorgeous, medium haired tabby, with a magnificent fluffy tail. She is very affectionate and would make a great lap cat as she really loves attention and cuddles. She will be a wonderful companion for anyone who has loads of love to give.
Winnie must be kept as an Indoor Only cat and she needs a stable and secure home. I will be vetting anyone who applies to adopt Winnie as this gentle girl really deserves to find her Forever Family this time, so please include your details on the enquiry form below.
If you are looking to welcome a cuddly young cat into your life, come and meet Winnie!
Winnie is microchipped, wormed and desexed. She is due for her yearly vaccination on 16 October 2021, and she is litter-trained.
You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Chanel and her sister CoCo came into care from the pound as under aged kittens...without a doubt 2 of the sweetest most loveable kittens I have ever had the pleasure of fostering ...just delightful.
Chanel is the shyer of the 2 but once she gets used to you she is a love bug ...she just loves her snuggle/cuddle time.
Chanel is a good eater and uses the litter tray like a champion. Chanel also love the resident dogs and is very respectful of the resident cats.
Chanel has medium length hair so will require a little grooming.
Chanel and CoCo are both stunning kittens it is very hard to get a photo that depicts that.
Chanel has had her first vaccination and has been flea and worm treated and is microchipped.
Her adoption fee will cover her de sexing when age appropriate at one of DCH's many vets.
Chanel is in care in the Granville area
