Meet Miss Molly

Miss Molly (or lovingly nicknamed Wombat by her carer) has only just come into care after being found abandoned in a horse paddock by the paddock's owner. As if being taken away from her mother and left in a paddock wasn't bad enough for this gorgeous little puppy, Molly has also been involved in some type of trauma as she is missing half of her front left leg. Vets have advised that the best course of action would be to amputate the rest of the leg as it seems to be more of a hindrance than a help to Molly especially as she is now learning to walk. But like so many other dogs, Molly will adapt to only having three legs and I'm sure not let it slow her down in the slightest. Molly is too young to be breed assessed at the moment but it is thought that she will grow to be a large dog.

Molly is a gorgeous and funny little puppy. She loves cuddles and pats and will even roll over when she wants you to scratch her belly. Molly has wonderfully soft and thick fur which she doesn't mind me grooming at all. Whilst walking on three and a half legs is rather slow and tedious, Molly makes do and will commando crawl to her bed or water bowl when she gets tired of stumbling over. So far, Molly has proven to be a great eater, with both wet and dry food, and loves her water and puppy milk. While too young to be house trained, Molly always uses the newspaper that's spread near her bed. Molly is not available for adoption for another month, but if you would like to come and meet with her beforehand, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Miss Molly was adopted on 29 May 2011 after 1 month in foster care
