Princess Leiah

Princess Leiah

DSH - female

Princess Leiah is very attractive, short-haired silver tabby female. She is a placid cat who doesn't scratch people. She's less than 2 years old and still quite playful. She has an unusual pattern of stripes and leopard spots on her hind quarters as well as a little bit of caramel color on her tummy. She has been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated and de-flead. She was rescued from a shelter painfully thin with a large litter of 7 kittens, most of which ended up silver tabbies like her. She's done a fabulous job of looking after them and all of them quickly found homes. Since then she has regained some weight and her fur is thick and glossy. She tends to eat a little too much at the moment as she can still remember how starving she was before she was rescued. She isn't a fussy eater and her favorite treat is cheese. She is comfortable around dogs and friendly with everyone. She is very clean and has always used the litter box. She is an indoor cat at the moment who is happy to sleep on your bed all day.

Princess Leiah was adopted on 28 September 2010 after 6 months in foster care

Fuzz

Fuzz

German Shepherd - female

Fuzz is a big dog with a big heart who has been left alone far too much in her 4 year life span and this makes her desperate for your attention, pats and cuddles which means she can be a bit enthusiastic when first greeting you. She was not trained sufficiently as a puppy but has been making some strides in the right direction since coming into care. She does know how to sit however stay and come are being worked on. She does know how to walk loose lead but needs to understand there can be more than one leader in her life. She gets very anxious when meeting other dogs while she is on lead, common sense is lost and she strains on lead. Fuzz is a healthy weight with a great long shaggy glamour coat. Introductions with other dogs would need to be very guided as her anxiety, size, and weight can intimidate other dogs. She needs ongoing training and socialisation with other dogs especially on lead and she will make a great family pet. She in currently in a foster home with 3 children the youngest being 7 and she is fine with them. Because little kids could easily be knocked over by accident by such a big dog, we would require her to go to a home with older children.

Fuzz was adopted on 18 September 2010 after 3 weeks in foster care
