Kirbey

Kirbey

Staffy x - male

Kirbey is still shy and cautious of strangers. He is perfectly fine with older kids but comfortable with small children and wont go near them. Carers sons are 9 and 11 and he plays really well with the boys, they chase each other, play ball, wrestle and have even been known to sneak him into bed with them to sleep So he can only go to a family with older kids. He is very affectionate, endearing and excitable. He walks exceptionally well on a lead and sits at curbside before crossing the road. He is a very energetic dog and needs to be walked daily - if not, he can become bored and will revert to puppy habits like chewing up the backyard. Whilst we don't have another dog, we have noticed he is scared and intimidated by other dogs when we walk him. Kirbey thinks he is a human and insists on people' chairs for sitting. He is an outside dog but is allowed inside and has his own rug next to the lounge and has been trained to understand on your rug as a command.

Kirbey was adopted on 21 August 2010 after 6 months in foster care

Buster

Buster

Staffy x Boxer - male

Buster is such a sweet boy. He loves cuddles and attention and is very gentle and he has that super cute boxer face that makes you melt every time you see him.As he is still a puppy, he can be a little jumpy when he gets excited but he does know how to sit and will calm down when commanded. He gets along well with the 2 other dogs that he lives with but is still learning how to become apart of the pack as he is used to being on his own. He is also very good around young children and my one year old loves him.He walks well on the lead and does not pull much at all. He is a pleasure to walk. As Buster is ok to be on his own, he would do well as the only dog but he would also do well as a new friend for an existing dog and family.

Buster was adopted on 19 August 2010 after 1 month in foster care

Millie

Millie

Jack Russell - female

When Millie came into care she was very skinny and had a serve skin condition. Since being in care her skin condition has healed and she is slowly putting on weight. She is a very sweet and affectionate little girl who loves nothing more than to sit on your lap and follow you everywhere you go! Millie is great with other dogs but would prefer a feline free home. Ideally Millie would love a stay at home mum or dad to keep her company and give her the attention she craves for, she would also be great with children as she loves to play.

Millie does need a home with very secure fencing as she can fit though very small holes and gaps, so a mostly indoor home would be preferable. If Millie sounds like your new family member please give us a call she would love to meet you!

Millie was adopted on 19 August 2010 after 3 months in foster care

Lenny and Maggie

Lenny and Maggie are the best of friends. Lenny was found roaming the streets around 7 weeks of age. He was terrified of humans when he was first rescued, but since he has met Maggie he has started to trust people. Maggie is very outgoing and always exploring. She loves people and encourages Lenny to enjoy pats and cuddles from humans too. They love to play and will wrestle for hours, chasing eachother around the house is one of their favourite things to do! They both love to cuddle up in bed with you at night time, and will even come under the covers! Maggie love her food, but is happy to share a bowl with Lenny. They are both litter trained and would like to be rehomed together
