Evie's story

Hi

Just a quick email to let you know how Evie is doing. We have had a lovely Christmas and New Year with her. She certainly is a real character and each day she brings us all lots of joy.

Evie loves going out in the car and can hardly contain her excitement if she gets wind of a trip. Over the holiday break we have taken her to the beach and then go for long walks along the headlands and the beach. She loves splashing in the rock pools. She has had a few swims in our pool, but only when really coaxed in. We also take her for long walks around our local area. She loves her food and the diet suggestions from the 'Give/Feed the dog a bone' are fantastic. She eats everything (and I mean everything). She has oatmeal for breakfast with all sorts of accompainments (banana, mango, dessicated coconut, natural yoghurt, cottage cheese, molassis, yeast, kelp..........just to name a few and not all in the one meal. She has grown a bit more and looks so wonderful and healthy, her coat is so glossy.

Both my boys love her to death and spend lots of time giving her lots of attention. She gets a goodnight kiss everynight from my 13 year old. I will start a 7 week dog training course in a week or so, which will be great. She is really very good, but is very stubborn and will not come when called if it is not in her interest.......................so I have tended not to let her off the lead too often when out, as if she is playing with another dog, she will just not come when called.

The toileting has gone really well and she wee's and poo's in the garden beds first thing in the morning when we get up. We are putting her in our small laundry overnight where she is contained and does not make a mess at all. We were continually finding several wee's and poo's every night when we left her on that large patio area. She would mess right over in the other corner, out of sight, out of mind............... She is currently asleep in our family room, in her bed, which she loves. She is on her back with all 4 legs up in the air. I will send some photos next time I email you. Regards Amanda and EVIE
