Gracie

Gracie

Chihuahua x foxie - female

Introducing Gracie, the spunky, friendly and full of character chihuahua x foxie
Gracie was found as a stray however could not be rehomed through the pound system and came into care of DCH
She was born with one hindleg shorter than the other and therefore she walks with a limp. This however does not stop her from joining in for playtime with her mates
Gracie also suffers from sight problems. She is able to see long distance however has trouble seeing things up close
She loves people and other dogs and is always up for lots of cuddles
Gracie is available for adoption now and if you are a special person who would love to adopt a fantastic puppy then please contact us

Otis

Otis

Mini Foxie x Jack Russell - male

Hi, I'm Otis, a lovely 3 year old Jack Russell Terrier currently weighing in at 10kgs. I could do with losing a kilo or two and reintroduce my waistline to my body. I was surrendered by my previous loving owner as he is moving overseas.
I like going on short walks, however my foster carer says I pull to the right so a strong grip must be had.
I'm a loveable chap and although shy at first, will come and make myself comfortable so we can have pat time.
I have a favourite blanket but prefer to be close to my human. I am shy of other dogs and will be meeting a few at the end of the week so my carer can better observe my behaviour. Whilst I am generally quiet, other dogs in the distance may trigger me to bark.
I am desexed and up-to-date with my Vaccinations.
I'm experiencing more exciting cullinary delights rather than kibble, although kibble was my staple diet.
I still need a small amount of training so someone with experience with Jack Russells / mini fox terriers would be best furparents for me.
If you've read this far and am still interested in meeting me, could you please contact my foster carer by email (preferred) so we can arrange a meet and greet.
Bye for now, Love Otis ruff ruff
***Otis had a successful meet and greet on 14/06/23***

Otis was adopted on 11 July 2023 after 1 month in foster care

Octavia

Octavia

Staffy X - female

We'd like to introduce you to an adorable 8-week-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross puppy named Octavia who is eagerly searching for a loving forever home. This little pup, along with six of its siblings, were found abandoned in a box in Western Sydney when they were just 4.5 weeks old. Luckily they were found and taken to a council shelter and have ended up in care with DCH Animal Adoptions. With some tender loving care and veterinary attention, they have made an incredible recovery and are now thriving despite their rough start to life.

Estimated Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross. They have been microchipped as a staffy x however as they were dumped in a box we have no idea what Mum or Dad really was. Some identification apps see some Kelpie or Patterdale Terrier in the mix from the photos. They do appear to be a mixed breed.
Estimated Age: 8 weeks (Estimated DOB 6-5-23)
Location: Quakers Hill NSW 2763

Personality:
This puppy is a true bundle of joy! Despite their difficult start in life, they have emerged as playful, happy, and energetic little characters. They approach each day with a wagging tail and a contagious zest for life. Their resilience is truly remarkable, and they will undoubtedly bring boundless happiness to their future family.

Octavia specifically is a confident and bold puppy. She is used to getting and demanding lots of attention. She does not like to share her food so will need some ongoing training around food and treat possession. Octavia is quick to learn being the first to learn how to "sit" (occasionally) compared to her brother and sister. She is keen to explore.

Health:
After being discovered in a vulnerable state, these puppies received immediate veterinary attention and TLC. They have made great strides in their health and are now in a much better condition. They have been regularly dewormed, 1st vaccinated and will be desexed prior to adoption. Ongoing Regular veterinary check-ups during their 1st year will be important to ensure their continued well-being due to the neglected state that they were found in. They may have a degree of Ricketts due to early malnutrition and will need to be feed premium large breed puppy food.

Ideal Home:
We are seeking a loving and committed family who understands the responsibilities and joys of raising a puppy. This little one craves attention, love, and guidance. An active household with a secure yard or access to regular exercise opportunities would be a great fit. This pup would be overjoyed to have playmates, whether they are human or other friendly animals.

Training:
As a young puppy, this Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross is a blank slate ready to learn and grow. Positive reinforcement training techniques, combined with patience and consistency, will help them become a well-mannered and obedient companion. Puppy socialization and basic obedience classes are highly recommended to set them up for success.

Commitment:
Bringing a puppy into your home is a long-term commitment. Please ensure you have the time, resources, and willingness to provide the care, love, and attention this little one deserves. They will reward you with endless affection, loyalty, and companionship.

If you believe you can offer this delightful Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross puppy a safe and loving forever home, filled with endless playtime and a lifetime of cherished memories, please get in touch. They are eagerly awaiting their chance to become a beloved member of a loving family.

Thank you for considering adoption and giving this precious pup a second chance at a happy and fulfilling life.

Note: They will be available for adoption once recovered from their desexing surgery which is booked for 4th July.
