Milly

Milly

Staffy X Bulldog - female

Milly is a beautiful little puppy who is currently living with 4 adult dogs.

She is very easy going and tries to play with the other dogs in the household although they mostly ignore her except for Cody. Cody and Milly love to play from time to time and its adorable.

She is an indoor dog who rarely barks and hasn't destroyed or chewed any of the furniture or the shoes left lying around. When I take the other dogs to the park she is fine being left in her playpen until we return.

She really loves people and is very people oriented and would be best suited to a anyone who wants to make her part of their family.

Milly has a grade 2 heart murmur and will be reviewed at next vaccination.

Milly was adopted on 16 October 2022 after 1 month in foster care

Missy

Missy

Cattle Dog - female

Missy is a beautiful cattle dog who loves people, children and other dogs.

She currently lives with a family that has a German Shepherd which is a new experience for her as prior to being surrendered she was in an only dog family.

She likes playing with the German Shepherd and likes playing ball but as she isn't used to living with another dog doesn't do that well when the dogs are fed together.

Missy hasn't had much training so doesn't know her sit, come and stay commands and still jumps up on the children to get attention.

Missy is a loving indoor/outdoor dog who would be best suited as the only dog in the famil

Missy was adopted on 28 September 2022 after 4 weeks in foster care

Bubbles

Bubbles

Pug x jack russell terrier - female

Bubbles came into DCH care after she was surrendered by her previous owner to a Sydney animal care facility. She was surrendered due to not getting along with other dogs in the household however she has not displayed any of those behaviours whilst in care
She is energetic, lively and extremely friendly and is very quick at giving you lots of kisses. She loves going for walks and exploring
Bubbles would make a great addition to any family that were wanting an energetic companion however due to her energy levels she would be best suited to kids over the age of 5
Bubbles is also only suited to a house with a fully fenced backyard and would not be suitable to a unit or apartment
Bubbles comes desexed, vaccinated and heart worm tested

Floyd

Floyd

Labrador - male

Floyd is an active, friendly Labrador, who loves people! However, Floyd does not like cats and appears to be dog reactive, so his Forever Home should not have any other animals!

Floyd has lived with his family since he was a puppy but they have unfortunately had to surrender him as their new home is unsuitable. Floyd is a typical Labrador that absolutely loves being with people!

This beautiful boy enjoys walks and water, and of course lots of pats and attention! He is fine in the house and enjoys sitting near people but being a Labrador, he will discover any food within his reach! Floyd is house trained and sleeps inside with his family.

Floyd does bark outside with unknown noises until he is comfortable in his surroundings, and then he will just continue with his napping routine. He is very alert but does not seem overly anxious and has settled quite quickly in his foster home, sitting at my feet while I work from home.

You will need a secure, fully fenced yard with full height fencing, and no gaps underneath. Labradors can be quite stubborn if they intend to escape and they are quite capable of squeezing through small gaps or digging to make the gap big enough!

Floyd would be a wonderful companion and family dog for active people who are willing to give him time and attention every day. If you are home a lot and also enjoy walking and spending time outside, then Floyd might be the canine for you! However, as he becomes quickly attached to people, it would be best if Floyd is the only dog in the house.

Floyd is already:

  • Microchipped,
  • Wormed/flea-treated,
  • Vaccinated,
  • Desexed
  • Please use the link below to “Send enquiry email” with your information, if you are interested in adopting Floyd. This should include details of any other pets and your experience with dog ownership.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a dog BEFORE you lodge interest. Floyd needs a fully fenced yard and is not suitable for an apartment.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and be prepared to look after it for a lifetime!

Floyd was adopted on 04 September 2022 after 5 days in foster care

    Phil

    Phil

    Pug Cross - male

Phil is an adorable pug mix that the vets estimate to be between 6-7 years old. What he lacks in size he makes up for in personality!

We don’t know anything about Phil’s previous home but when he came to DCH he had extreme flea allergy dermatitis and a yeast infection that caused some hair loss on his chest and around his tail. Phil has come a long way but his new owner would have to be able to commit to a sensitive skin diet and weekly medicated baths to ensure his skin keeps improving!

This handsome man started off very timid and scared at the pound but is now the biggest love bug and adores his human! Due to his rocky start in life Phil can be very wary of new people, especially men And does resource guard his house and favourite beds. Because of this Phil needs a quiet household with no children and no other animals.

Phil is quite an active guy and loves going on regular walks but is still learning what manners are so patience and ongoing training is a must!

Phil is a great companion and would love nothing more than a human that he can spend all his time with. He is toilet and crate trained so would enjoy being a predominately inside dog.

If you think Phil would make the perfect companion for you let us know!

His estimated DOB by the pound has been recorded on his microchip as 1/2/2011 however the vets who have seen him have suggested he is only 6-7 years old.

    Located in Lalor Park.

Phil was adopted on 13 August 2022 after 5 months in foster care
