Kira

Kira

Cattle x - female

Kira is a lovely playful puppy who gets along with everyone. She socialises well with other dogs and is quick to initiate play with her yardmates. She has been taught from an early age to sit for her dinner and is comfortable sharing food with other dogs (and even my kids!). She is not destructive providing she has toys to chew on and has a delightful character about her. Because she has never been alone she would probably do best with a family with children or another dog for company.

Kira was adopted on 29 November 2006 after 2 months in foster care

Jake

Jake

Red Cattle x - male

Nuggety Jake is a playful and affectionate little man. A loyal companion who is always at your side (to the point of tripping you over

see Sponsorship Required), he is always trying to impress you. Jake is housetrained, obedient, cat and child friendly, and picks up easily on your routine. Jake is suitable as an only dog, and as he is well socialized, he will also be a friendly companion to other dogs

Poor little Jake had an accident at his carer's place and injured one of his front legs. A deep cut, heavy bleeding and a lot of yelping had us fearing broken bones, but an emergency x-ray showed these were fine. Jake had an operation to stitch up his wound and had to rest overnight in hospital. Lots of TLC, antibiotics and several checkups later, and we can report that Jake's leg has healed and he is back to his happy bouncy puppy state once again.

Jake's vet bills have come to $686 and we are seeking sponsorship for Jake to help cover these expenses.

Shelly

Shelly

German Shephard - female

Shelly is a gorgeous girl who is very affectionate, protective and loyal. She is a really fast learner and would make and ideal companion for an active family with older children. She sits on command and is already learning other commands. She walks relatively well on a lead although she is still learning and does require further training. She gets along well with other dogs after the initial first meeting as she can be quite bouncy as she hasn't had a lot of socialization with other dogs. She would be fine as the only dog as long as she gets a daily walk and has toys to play with during the day. She has no food aggression or possession and is gently when she plays. She is still a puppy at heart and loves to play but isn't too boisterous. She will grow up to be a lovely friend and dog.

Shelly was adopted on 20 November 2006 after 1 month in foster care

Mack

Mack

Cattle x - male

Mack has dislocating knee caps and needs surgery to fix this problem or he will have difficulty walking for the rest of his life. We are seeking sponsors to help us pay for this surgery

Mack is a handsome and intelligent fellow. Mack is confident and very affectionate. He is a great dog who would love to be with an active family. He is a very friendly, social dog and would fit in with other dogs very well. Mack loves walks and is very gentle and well behaved on a lead. He is toilet and house trained. He is very quiet and hardly barks. We've recently discovered his love of water

he had the best time playing in the water in his puppy clam, then running around the yard in excitement. Mack is learning to be a well behaved chap inside also, he follows you from room to room and sits at your feet when at the computer or watching TV. He knows basic obedience and sits on command and drops about 80% of the time. He is a quick learner and thrives on positive training. Mack is looking for his forever home. If you are looking for a fun loving, affectionate and gentle playmate who will make a great companion. Then Mack is your man.
