Max

Max

Purebred Keeshond - male

This poor old fellow found his way into the pound somehow and had run out of time. He's now enjoying life at his foster carers house, he's housetrained, a real no problem boy, gets on well children and likes to hang around where you are (ie at your feet in the lounge room), still got enough energy for going out for a walk, clear eyes, no problem at all with the cats (even touches noses) or the other male keeshond at his carers place.. Max has had skin problems but nothing out of the ordinary and this should settle down with the right treatment and care and of course a good diet. Max would love being an inside dog as being a keeshond he just wants to be part of your family and included in things. He probably hasn't been looked after the best for a little while now so this boy deserves to live out his final years in a very loving home

he's a very dear old loving soul.

Max was adopted on 01 May 2009 after 1.2 years in foster care

Bonnie

Bonnie

Staffy x - female

Bonnie was adopted on 26 April 2009 after 3 weeks in foster care

Daisy

Daisy

Chihuahua x Maltese - female

We are not entirely sure what breed Daisy is, maybe Chihuahua X Maltese?, but we do know that Daisy is a very sweet but incredibly shy girl. Daisy is still quite young, she's not a digger, but she does love to play chasings with her new friend Yoda. She would like a home where no one raises there voice at her (she finds this affects her confidence quite a bit so its a non negotiable requirement in her new home.) Calm consistent handling works well for her. Because she is so sensitive to her humans we feel that she would bond very well with her new owner. She does seem to have a slight preference towards a female owner. She MUST go to a home with another dog as she is very dependant on the other dog for confidence. Once she relaxes she is very loving and loves to follow you around. Once she trusts you she is very affectionate and will push to the front of the pack for cuddles. She will sometimes wet herself if over excited or afraid (although we have noticed that this is becoming a lot rarer now that she has settled). She is has not been an indoor dog and we haven't yet convinced her that she is allowed inside. She is not used to walking on a lead and will take time before she will manage this. She travels very well in the car.

She is a sweet girl who needs a quiet and understanding home. In return you will get a beautiful loving companion.

Daisy was adopted on 26 April 2009 after 1 month in foster care

Lucky

Lucky

medium size cross breed - male

Lucky is really good with other dogs and is great with his foster carers 3 kids. Lucky walks well on lead and will sit for food but he does need continued training. Lucky is a loveable and very playful young man. He is really sweet loves being with people and loves to run around. The pound had him listed as a beagle but we think he has a few breeds in his parentage.

Lucky was adopted on 26 April 2009 after 1 year in foster care

Gemma

Gemma

schnauzer x terrier - female

Gemma is a loving little girl very nice natured and she will sit on your lap for plenty of cuddles and pats, she lives indoors at her Carers house with others dogs and is house trained and can use a doggie door, Gemma is ideal for all ages and would be good for older children so they can play with her and throw a ball,Gemma is waiting for a loving home, so come and say hello to her.

Gemma was adopted on 22 April 2009 after 3 days in foster care

Leo

Leo

Pomeranian x - male

Leo is a gorgeous little ball of fluff. He is such a loving, affectionate and very friendly little man who loves attention. Leo is still learning to sit, stay and drop and is currently in the process of being house trained, he walks great on lead and wouldn't need much in the way of excersice. He is great with other dogs and cats but he would also love to be the only dog to get all of your attention.

Leo was adopted on 22 April 2009 after 1 weeks in foster care

Jayda

Jayda

staffy x - female

Jayda is a typical Staffy cross: super friendly and keen to please. She is great with kids and rarely leaves your side when walking of leash. She loves other dogs and is submissive if challenged. Jayda has had basic obedience training (SIT, COME, HEEL, STAY) and has good manners with food.

Jayda was adopted on 17 April 2009 after 2 weeks in foster care

Freckles

Freckles

Cocker Spaniel - female

Freckles is a very sweet, loving and affectionate little girl. She is a typical Cocker Spaniel being very loyal and almost attaches herself to anyone to will pat her for 5 minutes. If your after a dog that wants to be the centre of attention Freckles is the girl for you! She gets on good with other older dogs (doesn't like young dogs jumping at her) although im sure she would love to be the only dog and get all the attention! She would be ok with older children only as she gets very scared if somebody raises their voice.

Freckles was adopted on 16 April 2009 after 2 weeks in foster care

Cody

Cody

Husky x - female

Cody is lovely sweet quiet girl who loves people once she gets use to you, she is also very good with other dogs and cats and as yet we have not heard her bark. Cody is slightly timid, therefor would need a home with older children as very young children scare her.

Cody was adopted on 16 April 2009 after 3 weeks in foster care
