Karla's story

Hello DCH

Congratulations on your ten year anniversary. You do great work. We have not known your work for quite ten years, but in September, 2007 we adopted an eight week old cross kelpie pup, our Karla, through you. Francine was her carer and she called her 'my big, quiet girl'. Karla was - and still is- a beauty. We believe that there are many good dogs who do not begin life with the advantages our beloved German Shepherds have. It has always been our privilege and pleasure to also have a dog from this different background as part of our family. Our German Shepherd bitch, Freya brought Karla up beautifully. The two were great friends and had many adventures together. When Freya died, Karla stepped into the 'boss dog' shoes and brought up the new pup. Patient and tolerant but with strict standards, she made sure Rika became the well-mannered dog she is today.

I have attached a photo of Karla by herself and one of her with Rika. Together these two make us a family. Thank you DCH.

Neil and Rosemary Montgomery.
