Meet Harry

Update-Harry has been such a brave little man during treatment to assist in repairing his deformed hind leg.
Once X-rays were completed it was realised it was nothing to do with the bones, just ligaments, tendons and muscles.
Harry's leg was placed in the correct position with strapping and stayed that way for a few days. Once the strapping was removed the leg was now facing the correct way, was very swallow and the toes were curled under cutting his pads on the paws.
With some physio a few times a day the toes returned to a relatively normal position.
Harry can now sit nearly normally, walk slowly on the toes/foot and scratch his head with the leg.
Harry may never use his leg completely normally, however is improving out of site each. At times when he is playing you wouldn't even know he has a deformed leg.
Harry is looking forward to finding his special family that would be happy to continue some form of physio with him.
Harry would like to say a very big thank you to the staff at sash for assisting in correcting the position of him leg, his amazing physio Bec who did some sessions with him and gave his foster carer session lessons to do at home.
Harry has a huge personality and loves to talk!!! He is very playful, loves a cuddle (especially getting underneath the bed covers) and isn't scared of pretty much anything. He is food crazy and will let you know with his vocals until it is right in front of him. Or just climb up your leg to get to the bench and food bowl.
Harry is excited to meet his forever family.

Harry has come into DCH foster care after being surrendered by his previous owner.

Harry has a deformed or twisted leg which needs correction. Its been this way since birth.

DCH is having Harry treated at the Sydney Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH) to try and improve his quality of life.
