Leelah

Leelah

Staffy x - female

My name is Leelah and I'm a 4 year old staffy x

When I first came into DCH care, I was pregnant with 8 puppies and now that my puppies have moved on to new homes, it is my turn to find a great family

I love people as well as kids and love going for walks as this is so exciting

I love visiting new places as long as Im with my family

Im fully house trained and I have even learnt to do some tricks, like shake hands and sit

Even though Im house trained, I can only be adopted by someone that has a house with a fully fenced backyard

I would definitely suit someone that works from home most of the time as I just LOVE sitting by your feet while you work

If you think you could be my perfect match and give me a loving home then please call my carer. I can't wait to meet you xxx

*Thank You to Priyadarshini, Nicole, Penny, Carolyn and Ei Phyu for sponsoring Leelahs additional vet costs*

Leelah was adopted on 30 March 2022 after 5 months in foster care

Bindi

Bindi

beagle - female

Bindi is a beautiful 6.5 year old beagle who is looking for a new home where she will be loved and can spend time with her new family

She is a very sweet-natured, relaxed dog who loves to laze around the house with her favourite stuffed toy, but also loves going for walks and smelling all the smells she can! She is very good with other dogs as well as with children and would be suitable to a home with either. She is easy to train and walks well on the lead

If you think you can give Bindi the home she deserves, please submit an application or message me directly on 0439 617 196

Located in Quakers Hill, NSW, 2763

Bindi was adopted on 12 February 2022 after 1 week in foster care

Max

Max

Kelpie - male

Max is a beautiful little Kelpie pup that has been rescued from the pound. He had a congenital eye problem in both eyes as the eyes did not form properly and hence he couldn't see.

This congenital eye problem meant that Max needed surgery to stop his eyes weeping and to remove any lashes or other material that was annoying him and causing the weeping and, to give Max the best possible life going forward.

Max is a beautiful little puppy and is learning how to live life to the full even though he is blind.

Max currently lives with four other dogs.

Max was adopted on 09 February 2022 after 6 days in foster care

Theo

Theo

Wheaten Terrier - male

Theo is a sweet and compassionate fur baby!

Still only young, he has great energy and loves a a good walk.

He can also be quite shy as he went through some difficult times as a puppy with the original owners.

Theo does bark quite a bit, but is currently being trained to only have him bark in moderation.

He will require a home that can provide him with sufficient attention, love and a bed inside the house (especially of a night time) as he is not a huge fan of being outside alone for extended periods of time.

Theo would be best suited with another well behaved dog to provide some companionship for those long days when nobody is around.

Great with kids, other dogs (except Huskies).

He is weary of loud noises which seem to startle him.

At first he will bark to alert the owner of a new presence (in their general nature) and barking is can be overwhelming, but he does not mean any harm - we believe it is just because he feels insecure, but once he gets to know you, he is fine. He generally is scared of males, but has taken to my husband quite well and they are great friends that do a lot of things together - when he trusts you, he is a fantastic companion.

Your patience, support and on-going training will be required to see him become one of the best dogs you could hope for.

Feel free to come and meet him, you will require a good hour due to his first reaction upon meeting new people, need to give him 20 minutes or so to settle and trust you.

Theo was adopted on 15 December 2021 after 2 weeks in foster care
