Portia

Portia

Domestic Short Hair - female

Portia is a beautiful little tabby/torti girl. She and her two siblings were found abandoned by a Hornsby Council Ranger, and they have grown into very happy and healthy kitties in our care. With their brother now adopted, Portia (as well as her sister, Mercedes, also profiled) is keen to find her furever family.

Portia is an energetic fluff ball – she is playful with both her feline and human companions. Both kitties love to jump and run around a lot, but Portia is always first to be by your side for cuddles.
Affectionate towards her people, Portia will definitely reward her new family for their love and care. To keep her safe, she must be an indoor-only kitty.

Portia is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated: She’s also had her nails clipped to welcome her visitors!

If you believe you can provide Portia the loving and affectionate home she needs, please contact her carer, Lauren. Portia is in care at Waterloo.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols; currently one person at a time.

Portia was adopted on 16 April 2020 after 2 months in foster care

Frankie

Frankie

DSH - male

Introducing the gorgeous and handsome Frankie..... an indoor lap cat that just sucks up the cuddles.

Frankie is a quiet boy at the start, preferring to suss out his situation, but then as soon as he gathers himself he is super social, affectionate and really relaxed. In the past, he had experience of living with a dog, and he just chills out when left alone, so we believe he would truly fit right into any home.

Since coming into care Frankie has really come out of his shell, and very quickly. It took about two days of persuasion for him to realise we were great, and now he can't get enough snuggles. He falls asleep on your chest just before bed in response to some nose rubs!!! But, he also loves to play as though he were still a little kitten. Anything string-like and Frankie is there – jumping up at it and just chasing it around the house! He really is the best of both worlds.

Frankie is desexed and totally healthy, and up to date on his treatments and vaccinations.

If you think you’d like to share your life with this bundle of love, you are welcome to visit him at his foster home in Camden.

Frankie was adopted on 12 April 2020 after 4 months in foster care

Comet

Comet

Jack Russell - male

My name is Comet and I'm approximately 11 years old. I was surrendered into DCH care in November 2019. When I arrived my carer noticed I had pyoderma around my mouth. I am on medication and it is now currently healed. I am currently being weaned off my meds however If the pyoderma returns I may need to take the meds for the rest of my life to control it. It will most likely be April that I can move to my forever home.

I am looking for a forever home with someone who is home a lot. I love human company. I spend all day with my carer whilst she works at home and at night as well. I love to sit on the lounge next to her with my head on her lap. I am toilet trained in the house. I will stand at the door when I need to go out for a toilet break. I will sleep through the night and not bother you.

I am looking for a home that preferably has no other pets. I like to receive all the attention. I can be intolerant of other dogs though I currently live with a few resident dogs and they don't bother me. I chase cats so a cat free home is a must. I would most likely also want to chase other small pets as chasing these animals is part of my breed. I would be most suited to a quiet home. I can be a little unsettled by strangers in my home.

I love my daily walks. I am still very active. I have been diagnosed with a heart murmur. My murmur is non clinical and so at present it doesn’t affect my quality of life.

If you feel your home may be suitable for me please contact my foster carer and provide some details around your home environment. If we sound like a match then we can arrange a meet and greet. I am located at Revesby.

I am desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and have been flea and worm treated.

Mr Leo

Mr Leo

DSH - male

Mr Leo, who seems to think he is the centre of attention for his human’s world, is as soft as a brush both inside and out!

This tabby boy has a beautiful nature and clearly needs lots of love, accompanied by as many belly rubs as you can manage.

Since Mr Leo likes to have your full attention so he can shower you with affection, he would be ideally suited to a family with plenty of time and love to spare. Fortunately, he prefers to be an indoor/outdoor cat, so he can entertain himself in need.

Now age 15 months, I hoped he would have been snapped up a long time ago. I feel it is important for him to find a family who will nurture him for the rest of his life, as - of course - he deserves.

Please contact me if you would like more information or to visit Mr Leo at his Hornsby home.

Mr Leo is microchipped, vaccinated and desexed. I am asking only for a donation to the cost of his desexing operation as an adoption fee.
