Sammy

Sammy

Staffy X Heeler - female

Sammy has been surrendered into DCH care to find her a forever home.

She is a Staffy X Heeler puppy.

She is good with cats and dogs after living with three dogs and a cat.
Sammy is very quite and very relaxed and can be timid at times.

She needs LOTS of love, attention and company.

As she is a young puppy she will need to be obedience trained and will need toilet training.

We are looking for a new home where she can have access to both indoors and outdoors with a secure yard.

As she is a young puppy, she needs someone with lots of time and attention to help settle her into a new home. She will bark, she will yelp and she will make noises. She will chew things, she will dig, she will knock things over. She will need time and love. She will need access to a secure yard where she cannot get under or over the fence..

Sammy has been desexed, wormed, microchipped and 1st Vaccinated through DCH.

The new owner will need to provide the 2nd vaccination and 3rd vaccination before the dog is fully vaccinated and can be walked or taken to the park.

She will need obedience and toilet training.

Adopting a dog is a long term commitment so please consider all on-going aspects of adopting Sammy as she won't be a puppy forever.

Sammy was adopted on 30 September 2018 after 4 weeks in foster care

Wallnut

Wallnut

DSH - female

Wallnut is a lovely brown and black tortie girl, rescued at 8 weeks old along with her sisters. Now 5 months, she has become a very sweet and calm kitty, who is keen to find her furever home.

Wallnut is very people oriented and seems to be very relaxed with any new people that come into the house, including children. She also loved playing with her sisters before they were adopted.

So, well socialised and fully trained, Wallnut would no doubt be a wonderful companion to a family with children and maybe existing pets - or equally a couple or single person - as long as she gets her playtimes and snuggles! She does love to curl up in comfy sunny spots.

If you think you could provide Wallnut a loving indoor-only home, please get in touch to arrange a meeting at her foster home in Liverpool. Her carer is Loui, telephone 0403 291 078.

Wallnut is microhipped, de-sexed, and her vaccinations are up to date.

Wallnut was adopted on 26 September 2018 after 4 months in foster care

Roxy

Roxy

Cattle X Kelpie - female

Meet our beautiful Roxy. She was rescued from a regional pound on 18th of August, where she was described by them as just so sweet with both dogs, big and small, and people alike. And boy, she has certainly lived up to that. Roxy is such a joy to have around, she is so loving of us but also respectful and goes to her bed when we are eating, always sits when asked and comes on command too - I have no doubt she has been well trained at some point in her life.
It would seem that Roxy has had a few litters of puppies in her youth, and now she is desexed and once the stitches are removed in a week or so, will be so ready to get on with her next adventures.
Don't be fooled by her age, whilst Roxy does love a good nap (but who doesn't?) she can't wait to go for a good walk and explore. She is the perfect example of how to walk both on and off the lead, and travels well in the car too. She has travelled with us to busy places and is not put off at all by being surrounded by people, just loves knowing we are there too and always turns around to check we are following. She has met plenty of dogs, and loves to say hello and maybe a bit of a play, but really she is more of the quiet social girl and is happy to continue on once introductions are over. With this, I have no doubt she would make a great backyard friend for some canines looking for a best friend or a role model!
Roxy is located in Burwood Heights. She is vaccinated, microchipped and desexed. She can't be rehomed until the stitches are removed, but that is only a week away (around the 1/9/18 is when they will be removed). Please contact Gemma, her carer, on 0435 939858 to organise to meet Roxy, and meet a girl who will love you will all her heart.

Roxy was adopted on 24 September 2018 after 4 weeks in foster care
