Ivan

Ivan

DSH - male

Ivan and his brother, Icarus, are bonded 1yr old brothers who need to be rehomed together.

Now located in PETstock Macquarie (434-435 Waterloo Rd, North Ryde NSW 2113), you can meet these lovable brothers during store hours.

Initially adopted from DCH in December 2021, these gorgeous boys have unfortunately had to be surrendered back to DCH, so they can be rehomed.

Ivan is initially a rather shy boy, who will hide away and watch his brother meet the strangers! However, even if you pick him up from his hiding spot, he will give in and allow you to fuss over him! With a little time, and some food (which he loves!), you will win him over and he will accept you.

Both brothers are extremely gentle cats, who can be picked up, given tummy rubs, and will even allow their feet to be handled without a growl, scratch or hiss!

Ivan and Icarus will be best suited to a quieter household with 1-2 people, so Ivan can gain a little more confidence. With a bit of time to become accustomed to their new home, these brothers will easily become a part of your family and wonderful companions.

The adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Vaccination,
  • Desexing
  • So they live their best and longest lives, Ivan and Icarus must also be kept as INDOOR ONLY cats.

Please fill out an Expression of Interest IN-STORE if you would like to adopt Ivan & Icarus.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and, for a cat/kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! šŸ˜»

    Albert

    Albert

    DSH - male

Are you looking for a kitten who is looking for love - be it from a human or fur-friend? Look no further than Albert (Little A), Albert is the definition of 'love bug', and is easy to purr while keeping his foster mum company.

Albert came into DCH care as a little singleton-kitten and has sought the company of the other older kittens in his foster home to keep him company and show him how to 'cat'. For this reason, he needs company either humans that will be home majority of the time or another fur friend, as when he was segregated from the gang, he became depressed and stopped eating - and believe me Albert LOVES his food.

Albert has been raised with other older foster kittens, resident cats, dogs and a bunny and true to his nature he loves them all. And if you are working from home, and Albert is feeling a little needy, he will demand a comfy bed on your desk or will curl up under the heat of the computer monitor.

Albert has been raised in a single human foster home, and while he is a confident kitten, he will need time to acclimate to a home with multiple humans and children.

While Albert has access outside via a cat run in his foster home, he is looking for forever family that can offer him the protection of growing up inside (or safety outside access).

Albert has been desexed, had his first kitten vaccination and will be up to date with his parasite protection when adopted - his new family will be responsible for completing his kitten vaccinations.

As we receive a lot of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Albert was adopted on 16 September 2022 after 1 weeks in foster care

Sadly Gypsy required extensive dental work which came to $882. If you can assist by sponsoring some of these additonal vet fees that would be very appreciated

    Mia

    Mia

    DSH - female

Gorgeous little Mia another one I would love to keep . Mia has a lovely sweet nature and she is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside ... photos don't do her justice.

She loves to play with her siblings and she loves playing with toys.

Mia has been living with 3 dogs and although she wasn't overly keen at first she gets on with them now just fine.

Mia loves her food and is litter trained. Mia has had her first vaccination and has been flea and worm treated and she has also been micro chipped . Mia's adoption fee will cover her desexing when a little older at one of DCH's approved vets.

Mia is a typical cheeky naughty little tortie , a real bundle of fun and joy.

Mia is in care in the Granville area.

Mia was adopted on 09 September 2022 after 3 weeks in foster care

    Floyd

    Floyd

    Labrador - male

Floyd is an active, friendly Labrador, who loves people! However, Floyd does not like cats and appears to be dog reactive, so his Forever Home should not have any other animals!

Floyd has lived with his family since he was a puppy but they have unfortunately had to surrender him as their new home is unsuitable. Floyd is a typical Labrador that absolutely loves being with people!

This beautiful boy enjoys walks and water, and of course lots of pats and attention! He is fine in the house and enjoys sitting near people but being a Labrador, he will discover any food within his reach! Floyd is house trained and sleeps inside with his family.

Floyd does bark outside with unknown noises until he is comfortable in his surroundings, and then he will just continue with his napping routine. He is very alert but does not seem overly anxious and has settled quite quickly in his foster home, sitting at my feet while I work from home.

You will need a secure, fully fenced yard with full height fencing, and no gaps underneath. Labradors can be quite stubborn if they intend to escape and they are quite capable of squeezing through small gaps or digging to make the gap big enough!

Floyd would be a wonderful companion and family dog for active people who are willing to give him time and attention every day. If you are home a lot and also enjoy walking and spending time outside, then Floyd might be the canine for you! However, as he becomes quickly attached to people, it would be best if Floyd is the only dog in the house.

    Floyd is already:

  • Microchipped,
  • Wormed/flea-treated,
  • Vaccinated,
  • Desexed
  • Please use the link below to ā€œSend enquiry emailā€ with your information, if you are interested in adopting Floyd. This should include details of any other pets and your experience with dog ownership.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a dog BEFORE you lodge interest. Floyd needs a fully fenced yard and is not suitable for an apartment.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and be prepared to look after it for a lifetime!

Floyd was adopted on 04 September 2022 after 5 days in foster care

    Inky

    Domestic Short Hair - male

The kittens have been given an opportunity to grow and be nurtured with their mother in a family home. The kittens have grown really fast and itā€™s time that they find their own homes so have been surrendered into DCH care to find them a new forever home.

They are not used to many visitors or strangers so they take a little bit of time to warm up to new people. They initially come across as a little timid however once they know you they will form a bond with you.

Inky is very playful and enjoys playing with your feet heā€™s excited and enjoys being tickled. He can be silly and goofy and loves to roll and tumble
