Phineas and Ferb

Corgi X - male

Phinneas and Ferb and sweet elderly dogs who are inseparable and need to be adopted together.

They are approximately 10 years old and don't require much exercise.
Phinn loves a walk and, if walked on his own enjoys going to the park for off-leash exercise or for a 20 minute walk. On the other hand, Ferb is not steady on his back legs and would be happy with a good size backyard or a ride in a dog pram.

The are very attached to each other so need to be adopted together. Both dogs love pats and tummy rubs.

The are gentle with children and are gentle by nature.

They should be fed good quality tinned dog food.

Domino

Domino

DSH - male

Domino came into care at around 10 days old from the local animal shelter with his brother and sister, Sealy and Snuffles.

Domino is a very quiet, placid kitten who can often be found sleeping in a comfy spot or snuggled up to one of his foster siblings, however once his foster mum sits down to watch telly he is first to snuggle up to her for company. While Domino will tolerate being picked up, he loves receiving some love, pats and plays well with other kittens and cats and doesn't mind cohabitating with the resident dogs and bunny.

While Domino love his foster mum and foster siblings, he has been raised in a single human household so may require sometime to become conformable with strangers and children, but once comfortable he will be your loving companion for life.

Domino has had access to an external cat run, however for his own safety Domino has been raised as internal cat and would be looking for a forever home that offers the same security.

Domino has been desexed, mircochipped and had his first kitten vaccinations – his new family will be responsible for completing his kitten vaccinations. Domino is also litter trained and will be up to date with his parasite protection.

Domino is ready to adopt now and a meet and greet can be arranged at her foster home located in Bligh Park.

As we receive a lot of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.

Domino was adopted on 18 March 2023 after 4 days in foster care

Oliver Brown (or OB, or Mr Brown)

Oliver Brown (or OB, or Mr Brown)

domestic short hair - male

Oliver Brown came into care as a stray. He was living in the bushes near a shopping center, competing for food amongst other stray cats and ibis's. He stood out due to his highly friendly nature and would approach and beg for food while the others would run and hide. Woefully thin when he first came into care, he has since started to put some weight on and his coat is starting to become shiny and fuller.

He has beautiful green eyes with an usual swirly pattern to his strips, loves warming himself in front of the fire or in the sunlight, loves to sit on your lap for pats and sleep on your bed at night.

He's an extremely affectionate male. He's been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and had his health check. He's fully litter trained and not fussy with his food.

He is at the moment still very food focused and does run around your feet when he notices you head towards a food source such as the fridge or kitchen.

He gets along with small and medium dogs, loves his cat scratch post and is very food oriented.

He's currently an indoor cat.

If you are looking for a very friendly, easy going pet, he's your man!

Oliver Brown (or OB, or Mr Brown) was adopted on 12 March 2023 after 9 months in foster care

Cattle Dog - female

Goldie is in DCH care after receiving life-saving surgery for pyometra.

She is building back to a healthy weight with all the good food she’s been having and is working on her confidence and training.

Behavior wise she is slowly but steadily gaining confidence. She is learning new skills to sit and come when called. She walks well on the leash and is always friendly to other dogs. She does not bark or growl. You can take food out of her mouth and she won’t complain. She loves treats and pats on her chin.

Update Dec22: Thank you to everyone who donated towards Goldie's vet bills, her additional surgery costs have now been fully covered

We had an $800 vet bill for Goldie's surgery and have received some significant donations towards her bills. If you could help contribute towards her ongoing care, donations are welcome.

Ulrick (now Manuel)

Ulrick (now Manuel)

DSH - male

Ulrick has now been Desexed and is ready for adoption.

Ulrick and his sister, Ursula, were 2 of 10 kittens rescued after adult cats were left abandoned (and not desexed), when people moved house. Ulrick was initially very shy but the secret to win this kitty over is… food! Any food!

This beautiful boy is becoming more affectionate every day and just needs one or two people to bond with and love! Ulrick is one of those cats that make eye contact with you and he is quite smart.

Ulrick is getting used to being brushed at night as part of his socialisation. His silky coat doesn’t need a brush but he does enjoy it! Typically, Ulrick does love chasing laser lights, other kittens, and insects! Ulrick seems to enjoy the company of other cats/kittens and is very curious about our Golden Retrievers, so, if introduced slowly, he would probably be okay with a cat-friendly dog.

Ulrick has not been “tested” with children of any age but you are welcome to come along and meet him, and spend some time with him. Use the Enquiry Form below, to request a meeting with Ulrick!

The $225 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Vaccination (1st of 3),
  • Desexing
  • So he lives his best and longest life, Ulrick must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat. Please indicate if you are willing to do this in your email.

I don’t reply to emails that do not contain any of the requested information.

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in arranging a visit. PLEASE INCLUDE INFORMATION such as whether you own other pets, if you have a quieter or more chaotic household and any other relevant details.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and, for a kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! 😻

Ulrick (now Manuel) was adopted on 03 March 2023 after 2 months in foster care
