Basil

Basil

Domestic Medium Hair - male

BASIL NOWW HAS HIS FUREVER HOME LINED UP.
Thank you everyone for your interest in our kitties.

Hi I'm Basil, Basy for short.

I'm a cute, fluffy and very affectionate boy who is inquisitive and energetic. I came into care at 4 weeks old with my 3 cool brothers and tiny sister and have been loving life ever since.

I enjoy hanging out with my siblings doing kitten stuff like rumbling, playing chasings through our tunnel and hide n seek under the sofas and then tend to pass out somewhere warm to re-energize until our next play session. My foster sister Roxy who is a Golden Retriever is also great fun to pounce on and chase after, she's a big old softy.

I'm a great little eater, not fussy at all although I do tend to forget my table manners and make a bit of a mess at dinner time.

I look alot like my brother Wasabi, who's my best mate, and my foster family often get us mixed up but my face is a little darker than his and I'm definitely better looking.

My foster mummy calls me a big sook as I often seek her out for snuggles and to suckle on, getting as close to her as I possibly can, the closer the better. It melts her heart.

I will melt your heart too as soon as you meet me.

Basil is vet-checked, microchipped, vaccinated and flea/worm treated. He will be desexed prior to re-homing and will be available after 17/6/20 approx.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols.

Basil was adopted on 07 June 2020 after 1 month in foster care

Amber

Amber

Domestic Short Hair - female

Amber has grown up alongside other kittens since she came into our care. Well loved, they had their very own kitty pad to keep them safe from resident foster dogs, but perhaps missed out on the hustle and bustle of home life. Amber has now moved to a different foster home to further develop her social skills and come out of her shell.

Early days yet, Amber is still a ‘work in progress’! She is by nature a shy cat, but particularly needs to develop familiarity and acceptance of day to day occurrences, like visitors. Currently, she is prone to run and hide, which makes meetings with prospective owners somewhat difficult.

All that said, Amber really loves affection when she gets used to you, so will be a very loving cat to her new owner once she feels at home, and that shouldn't take too long, only a few short weeks for her to start to settle in and get to know you.

Amber will thrive in a quiet home, with special furever human(s) who are happy to take the time and patience to nurture her during what will probably be an extended settling in period. She has never been outside, so must be an indoor only pussycat.

Amber is vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.

Should you be interested in learning more about this unique kitty, or arranging to meet her, please contact her carer, Megan.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols.

Amber was adopted on 06 June 2020 after 1.4 years in foster care

Jasper

Jasper

medium coat DSH - male

Plump little Jasper came into care with his 3 siblings. He is still nursing with mum for the time being but has started eating kitten mousse recently and it turns out that he loves it!

At the moment he and his siblings are learning to run and jump and Jasper is quite brave, making it to the second tier of the cat scratch tree and then jumping back down. He is a very friendly little kitten and will usually run to the door as soon as he hears it open.

Jasper loves to be held and cuddled or just sit on your leg as you do your work. He has a lot of energy and loves to interact and play with his brothers and sisters, as well as his canine companions. He also enjoys chasing after toys and pushing ping pong balls around the floor.

Jasper would make a wonderful addition to most homes. He will need to be kept indoors.

Jasper is vet-checked, microchipped, vaccinated and flea/worm treated. He will be desexed prior to re-homing.

Still very young, we are currently taking enquiries for this little kitty (or his siblings).

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols. Given travel restrictions, a ‘meet and greet’ may instead be arranged via videoconference.

Jasper was adopted on 06 June 2020 after 4 weeks in foster care

Blu Bri Cheese

Blu Bri Cheese

Dsh - female

Blu Bri Cheese is an absolutely stunning baby girl. She is so affectionate and loves being picked up and cuddled. She gives rubs, head hoops and kisses. She is inquisitive and always like to know what’s going on.

Blu Bri Cheese was adopted on 05 June 2020 after 3 days in foster care

Ziggy & Casper

Ziggy & Casper

DSH - mixed

Ziggy and Casper are very pretty young cats. They are pure white except for a grey slash on the top of their head.

Ziggy loves life and is always looking for a game to play. She is very affectionate but gets scared when someone new comes around. She has settled very well into her foster home and gets on well with everyone else in the house, cats and people.

Casper is a little bit scared when someone new comes around but when he is left to himself, he enjoys climbing in a lap for a purring cuddle. Casper gets a little bit anxious when he cannot see his siblings and therefore would be better finding a home with Ziggy

They are microchipped, vaccinated and desexed.

Ziggy & Casper was adopted on 04 June 2020 after 10 months in foster care

Ziggy

Ziggy was adopted on 30 May 2020 after 4 weeks in foster care

Dennis

Dennis

DSH - male

Dennis has recently been surrendered into DCH care along with his brother, Jeff. Their owner unfortunately found himself unable to keep them, and then they had a bit of a rough time staying with a dog which didn't take to them at all. We believe they would thrive best in a forever home as a single pet companion (together or separately).

Dennis has a wonderful silky black coat, and his chest and chin looks as though they were just dipped in some white paint. His super power is his long, fluffy and swishy black tail. 🙂 He loves pats, cuddles and food too. He also likes being cradled like a baby and chin scratches.

Dennis has been vet checked, microchipped, vaccinated and desexed, so enquiries are welcome now.

The brothers are located in Milsons Point.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols. Given travel restrictions, a ‘meet and greet’ may instead be arranged via videoconference.

Dennis was adopted on 25 May 2020 after 3 weeks in foster care

Tashi (now Milly)

Tashi (now Milly)

DSH - female

Tashi

*Indoor Only Cat*

Tashi and her siblings, Trudy, Tully and Taz, were found abandoned at a construction site at Schofields. They have been bottle-fed and hand raised and so have become very affectionate and confident with people.

Tashi is a gorgeous little girl with a beautiful soft coat and lovely big eyes. Although still a little timid when she first meets new people, her curiousity always get the better of her. Tashi is really sweet and very playful but would probably be best suited to a home without small children. Once Tashi knows you, she will show you loads of affection and she loves a head scratch and belly rub.

The $200 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. Tashi is also litter-trained and socialised with other kittens.

Please contact me if you have any questions or if you would like to come and meet Tashi!

You are most welcome to arrange a visit - please check the current DCH social isolation Covid-19 operating guidelines, linked at the top of this page.

PLEASE NOTE: Although Tashi will reach adoption age and weight (at least 8 weeks and 900grams), by Monday 25th May 2020, she will still be too little for desexing. You will need to sign a delayed desexing agreement to have Tashi desexed (at DCH cost), as soon as possible at a DCH affiliated vet closest to you, as soon as she is over 12 weeks and 1kg.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH

Tashi (now Milly) was adopted on 24 May 2020 after 1 month in foster care

Taz

*Indoor Only Cat*

Taz and his siblings, Tashi, Trudy and Tully, were found abandoned at a construction site at Schofields. They have been bottle-fed and hand raised and so have become very affectionate and confident with people.

Taz is a lovely little character who does enjoy a tummy rub and a cuddle. Taz is pretty confident for his age and has also been very brave meeting our 2 golden retrievers. He is a very happy little kitten who will fit into most families and be great company.

The $200 adoption fee includes microchipping, worming, first vaccination and desexing. Taz is also litter-trained and socialised with other kittens.
