Josie

Josie

Shih tzu x - female

Josie is a lovely friendly little girl who needs to be inside with her family and she mastered the doggy door in a flash so that she was not left out of anything that was happening inside. She gets on well with other dogs but does suffer from separation anxiety even when left home with another dog so she really needs to go to a home where someone is home all day and ideally where there is another small dog for her to play with. She is housetrained and walks well on a lead but does have a tendency to get car sick so nothing to eat before taking her for a drive. Josie is a little nervous when initially meeting strangers especially men but warms up quickly once she know everything is OK. Josie is in care in Sydney's eastern suburbs.

Josie was adopted on 09 June 2011 after 1 month in foster care

Maddie

Maddie

Kelpie x - female

Maddie is a beautiful gentle natured girl who just craves human company, she is happiest just being able to touch you. She is currently being homes with other dogs, both older and younger and she has also been around cats which she seems scared of. Maddie is also very good with children. All in all Maddie would make the perfect family dog and would also be an excellent dog for agility or flyball as she is very quick and agile.

Maddie was adopted on 02 June 2011 after 1 week in foster care

Edenn

Edenn

Collie Rough - female

At 8 years old Edenn was dumped when they had finished breeding from her. She is a little timid but is responding well to gentle encouragement. Edenn loves a game of ball and gets very excited about it. She gets on well with other dogs and loves running around with them as she is quite active for her age. She is enjoying the freedom of the house and is now housetrained thanks to the doggie door. She needs to be an inside dog when the family are home and is quite happy to sleep on a soft rug beside the bed and stays there all night. She has responded very well to a good diet and is slowly putting on weight as she came in very thin, with major flea dermatitis and had dropped her coat most likely from having her last litter just before being dumped. Edenn loves her little jacket to keep her warm while lying in front of the fire at night and is a nice quiet girl who is no bother at all. She walks well on a lead and is a sweet gentle natured girl who will fit in well with most families and make a very devoted girl to share their lives with. A property inspection is required.

She is in care at Rydal near Lithgow.

Edenn was adopted on 02 June 2011 after 3 weeks in foster care

Miss Molly

Miss Molly

Large x Breed - female

Miss Molly (or lovingly nicknamed Wombat by her carer) has only just come into care after being found abandoned in a horse paddock by the paddock's owner. As if being taken away from her mother and left in a paddock wasn't bad enough for this gorgeous little puppy, Molly has also been involved in some type of trauma as she is missing half of her front left leg. Vets have advised that the best course of action would be to amputate the rest of the leg as it seems to be more of a hindrance than a help to Molly especially as she is now learning to walk. But like so many other dogs, Molly will adapt to only having three legs and I'm sure not let it slow her down in the slightest. Molly is too young to be breed assessed at the moment but it is thought that she will grow to be a large dog.

Molly is a gorgeous and funny little puppy. She loves cuddles and pats and will even roll over when she wants you to scratch her belly. Molly has wonderfully soft and thick fur which she doesn't mind me grooming at all. Whilst walking on three and a half legs is rather slow and tedious, Molly makes do and will commando crawl to her bed or water bowl when she gets tired of stumbling over. So far, Molly has proven to be a great eater, with both wet and dry food, and loves her water and puppy milk. While too young to be house trained, Molly always uses the newspaper that's spread near her bed. Molly is not available for adoption for another month, but if you would like to come and meet with her beforehand, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Basil

Basil

Miniature Pinscher - male

Basil is a cute friendly little boy that only weighs 4kg. Basil will need to go to a home where someone is home alot of the time or if he does go to a working family then he has to have another dog to play with and keep him company. Basil is fine with my 2 dogs one being 10kg and the other being 30kg so he dosent have a fear or larger dogs. Basil will need a week or so to settle into his new home, he is ok on lead, good with cats and is not a barker. If you can offer Basil a home we would love to hear from you.

Is not avaliable for adoption interstate.

Wombat

Wombat

Mastiff x Shepherd - male

Wombat is a big, gentle giant of a puppy. He's a very affectionate boy who loves a cuddle but he is also very strong and active. Wombat knows his own name, can sit and comes when called. He also loves playing with his sister Minnie and his 2 other canine house-mates. Wombat will grow into a large dog so he will need an owner willing to give him plenty of training and attention.

Tayla

Tayla

Shepherd x Collie - female

Tayla is a most gentle 7 year old German Shepherd/Collie cross. She is no trouble to have around the house, all she asks for is good food to eat, a nice cosy place to lie down and a comfortable bed to doze on throughout the day. She loves going for a walk and having her belly rubbed. She walks very well on the lead and if taken to a leash free area will go ahead with constant looks behind her to make sure she can always see you. She has been well trained and will come when called and knows how to obey most commands. Her previous family left her at the Wyong pound with a note saying simply that she was no longer wanted. When she came into care her coat was so matted and required cutting down the back legs but after a bath and some good food, she is now the most beautiful girl. Tayla would be best suited to someone who is home most of the day as she gets great re-assurance from knowing someone who loves her is nearby. She gets along well with Charlie, our 2 year old border collie who shows her new things to do and places to go everyday. As Tayla loves following Charlie everywhere, having another dog as a companion would be a very good thing for Tayla. She only barks when a bark is needed. Once she settles in with her new family, they will be rewarded with her ongoing love and devotion. Tayla is being cared for on the Central Coast.
