Smokey

Smokey

Domestic Short Hair - female

Smokey has come into care for a pound facility.
She is a smoochy girl looking for a family to love. She has a lovely strong purr and is happy to accept pats. We don't know anything else about her past, but we look forward to her having a great future with a new family.

She does take a little while to adapt to change and will need a few weeks to settle into a new home. She does hiss at other new cats she meets so she would need to be carefully and slowly introduced to any existing cat in a new home or would need to be in a home with no other cats.

She seems to prefer not to be picked up and wants to be independent.

Smokey was vaccinated at the pound 27/7 and received a 2nd vaccination 10/10 and was been desexed on 2/9.

She is microchipped, flea and worm treated.

Smokey just needs a loving home to call her own, could that be with you?

Smokey was adopted on 28 November 2022 after 2 months in foster care

Susie

Susie

Domestic Short Hair - female

Susie has come into DCH foster care after being abandoned by her owner at a vet clinic.

We don't know much about her background but we believe she is used to being an outside cat based on her behaviour. However, we recommend she remains an INDOORS-only cat.

She is an amiable girl and likes pats and attention however it has to be on her terms. She does not like being picked up and will only like some pats and attention before telling you she has had enough. She is a big kitten at heart and loves to play with toys and chase toys.

She has some fiery characteristics and as such, we recommend she goes into a home with no other cats or dogs. She is not open to receiving oral meds and reacts badly so we recommend worming treatments are done using spot-on treatments like profender rather than tablets.

She is currently using crystal litter and uses the litter box well however she does tend to dig a bit so a high-sided litter tray is recommended.

She has been desexed and has received vaccinations, worming and flea treatments.

Her next F3 vaccination is due August 2023 however due to the situation we have an incomplete vaccination record for her.

Susie was adopted on 28 November 2022 after 2 months in foster care

Jemima

Jemima

Domestic medium hair - female

Jemima is a beautiful, cheeky, calico kitten with a big heart and tons of curiosity. She came into DCH care when she and her 3 siblings were rescued from the streets of Sydney. She loves pets and caresses, even purring already once you start approaching her.

Jemima has beautifully soft medium-length fur. She is playful and loves to explore. She enjoys climbing cat trees and playing with balls, feathers and anything that wriggles. She loves pats and cuddles, and can be left alone at home without any trouble. She is quiet and loves her routine afternoon naps after lunch.

Jemima enjoys wet and dry kitten food, and is litter-trained (on pellets and clay). She has been microchipped, desexed and has received her first vaccination. She is healthy and strong, and has never been sick whilst in DCH care. She likes playing other cats and kittens (when introduced properly).

Jemima is ready to join her forever family. If you are looking for a beautifully striking, playful, low-maintenance kitten, then Jemima would love to meet you.

Remy

.
.
.😻Remy has found her Forever Family😻

Remy is a very happy little ball of fur, who loves attention and insists on being patted and fussed over. Remy can be chatty, especially when she wants something, and she is also quite confident.

Being very young, Remy would adjust to most households - she just needs time to settle in to a new environment. Remy will be a lovely little companion and only requires occasional brushing to keep her coat looking its best.

The $225 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Vaccination (2nd of 3),
  • Desexing
  • So she lives her best and longest life, Remy must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat. Please indicate if you are willing to do this in your email.

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in arranging a visit. PLEASE INCLUDE INFORMATION such as whether you own other pets, if you have a quieter or more chaotic household and any other relevant details such as why you want a cat.

If you do not provide details, then you will not be considered.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and, for a kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! 😻
