Ginger

Ginger

Cavoodle - female

Hi, I'm much loved Ginger. I was surrendered into the care of DCH Animal Adoptions because my human is moving overseas.

I've had a great life and was very well looked after. Small children stress me. I love my walks and car rides. I'm bouncy, friendly and ready to find a new furever chapter.

Ginger was adopted as a pup and has always known people to be at home with her...she especially gravitates to older people as that was what she was accustomed to in her previous home.

Ginger needs a yard as has been trialled in an apartment which didn't work for her.

Ginger suffers from separation anxiety, this means being home alone without her humans is hard. She will need someone home more often than not that can build her confidence so she isn’t so worried about being on her lonesome.

***Current foster carer has been trying to work with Ginger to no avail. Ginger was social with 2nd foster carer's dogs.

If you wish to consider Ginger as an addition to your home, please email her carer who will make contact with you.

***Ginger has a meet and greet scheduled for this coming Sunday 24/04/22. Successful and adopted.

Boots

Boots

Domestic Short Hair - male

Boots was found by a ranger, he was all alone and scared, abandoned in the Penrith area.
When he came into my care, he was so dirty, full of fleas, and quite malnourished.
The poor baby needed 3 baths before the water would run clear, thankfully, with medicine, quality food, and good old TLC he is now healthy, happy, and super playful.

He came into my care along with 3 other kittens and once they were all clean and safe they instantly huddled together for a nice warm and safe nap.
Boots being a little older than the others and the only male took on the big brother role and showed his new siblings ‘how to kitten’.
He is a smart boy, he taught his foster sisters how to use the litter tray and make forts out of blankets, and they became a close happy playful little family.

The sedentary lifestyle is not for Boots, he likes to be active or exhausted.
He needs attention, he is happiest when he can chase and play with interactive toys, he really is such a fun kitten, he is starting to be more talkative too, he would make a great friend for children or other pets.
Boots has become quite attached to his foster siblings and has not spent any time apart from them, so it may take some time to adjust to a new home, he will need a patient family that can give him lots of love and attention.

He loves to play with toys that make sounds and will jump and climb on anything, he also loves sitting on the highest level of the cat tower, or in the hammock, and even though they can’t all really fit, all four of them curl up for a nap together. “If I fits, I sits”

Boots has been raised as an indoor-only cat, so he will need to go into an indoors-only home.
He has been microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas, and worms, and is now desexed, ready to find his forever home.
He is located in the Penrith area.

Boots was adopted on 23 April 2022 after 2 months in foster care

Molly and billy

Molly and billy

Shih tzu cross - female

Billy and Molly must be rehomed together and will not be separated. The adoption fee listed is for both dogs
Molly is a fun loving, sweet heart. She is a very happy dog who loves going for walks and adventures. She is quite active and would suit someone who is quite active as well
Billy can have a bit of an attitude but once he gets to know you he is your bestie. Billy is also active and is always up for an adventure with Molly
Both dogs had medical issues when they were taken into care with molly requiring major surgery to repair a large hernia. As the veterinary bills to save mollys life were very expensive, we are also seeking sponsorship to pay for these bills
They both were suffering from skin irritations however this has been managed through veterinary treatment
Billy and molly will be available for adoption after 29th of January
If you would like to meet these dogs, please contact the carer

Molly and billy was adopted on 23 April 2022 after 2 months in foster care

Clawdia

Clawdia

Domestic Short Hair - female

Clawdia gets her name from her tendency to claw her way to the top.
She likes to steal the limelight with her cuteness and pampered princess ways.

Clawdia is an absolute sweetheart with a lot of love to give. She is super adorable and playful and friendly, she is such a little snuggler, perfect for someone looking for a pet to keep warm with on movie nights.

A ranger found her, along with her 2 siblings they were barely 4 weeks old when they came into my care. It’s been hard for her to accept that she is now safe and that there will always be enough food, she is still learning that she no longer has to fend for herself and so sometimes she can feel threatened around food and will covet the bowl.
This is slowly fading as she learns to trust but for now, she sometimes eats separately from the other kittens to help her realise she no longer has to fight for sustenance.

She loves to splash in her water bowl and while that is fun and all, it does mean you will probably want to make sure she has a deep or wide lipped water bowl.
She is fully litter trained and has a healthy appetite.
She also has that gorgeous little side head cock thing down pat, it’s so precious, she just could not be any more adorable and she loves belly tickles.

Clawdia has been raised as an indoors only cat so she will need to go into an indoors only home. She has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas/worms and she is located the Penrith area.

Clawdia was adopted on 23 April 2022 after 2 months in foster care

Lynx

Lynx

DSH - male

Lynx is all ready to go to his new home (he was Desexed on 11 March 2022). Just send an email enquiry if you would like to meet Lynx.

Lynx and his brother Lark came into DCH care on 17 December 2021, after being handed in to Campbelltown Pound as orphans when they were about 2 weeks old. Both brothers had mild ringworm and have since fully recovered.

Lynx is the more adventurous and outgoing kitten, and usually the one to instigate a rough and tumble play with his brother. He is still a little shy meeting strangers but just requires a bit more time to get to know you, and then he follows you around.

Just lately, with his brother now adopted, Lynx has become extremely affectionate and loves being near, or on my lap for attention.

Lynx is litter-trained and socialised with people, having been bottle-fed and hand raised from very young. Lynx loves attention and food, and comes running when I click my fingers.

Lynx is currently eating Royal Canin Kitten food, both wet and dry, with lots of clean water always available.

The $225 adoption fee includes:

  • Microchipping,
  • Worming/flea-treatment,
  • Second vaccination (of 3),
  • Desexing
  • So he lives his best and longest life, Lynx must also be an INDOOR ONLY cat. Please indicate if you are willing to do this in your email.

Please use the "Send enquiry email" link below, if you have any questions or if you are interested in adopting. PLEASE INCLUDE INFORMATION such as whether you own other pets, if you have a quieter or more chaotic household and any other relevant details.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18 years old to adopt an animal, and, for a kitten, also be prepared to look after it for up to 20years! 😻

    Sushi

    Sushi

    DSH - male

*** Sushi is available to meet at PetStock Marsden Park ***

Sushi is a lovely sweet kitten, who has finally grown big enough to be adopted. Sushi is an affection, funny and fairly relaxed little kitten who will snuggle up under his foster mums chin as soon as she sits down to watch TV (anytime of the day).

Sushi came into foster care at the tender age of 14 days old, with his siblings Kimchi and Nori, unfortunately Kimchi didn't make it but Sushi and Nori were bottle fed the first few weeks in care and grew into sweet kittens..

Sushi has been raised with other foster kittens, as well as the resident cats, dogs and bunny and he happily co-habits with them all. While Sushi has access outside via a cat run in his foster home, he is looking for forever family that can offer her the protection of growing up inside (or safety outside access).

Sushi has been desexed, had all his kitten vaccinations and is litter trained and will be up to date with her parasite protection - Sushi is ready for adoption now.

As we receive a lot of enquiries for our kittens, please include relevant details about yourself and your home/other pets, to be considered.

If you are renting, please ensure that you have approval for a cat BEFORE you lodge interest.

You must be over 18yrs old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH.
