Finn

Finn

Domestic Short Hair - male

This beautiful kitten was rescued from the Pound and was in urgent need of food and care. The litter of 6 kittens came into a pound at 2 weeks of age from a vet clinic as Orphans. These little orphans are being Hand-Reared by a DCH Foster Carer and will be well handled and are getting lots of human contact and will be socialised with other cats and children.

** Update 27-2 Sponsorship Required ** - Finn is currently on hold as he is receiving treatment to a deep scratch on his cornea. The injury is a cornea ulcer due trauma. He has had to have additional medical tests with a stain in the eye. He is now on treatment and is receiving eye cream 6 times a day for 2 weeks which is going to delay his adoption. Finn will have additional medical costs of approx $80.

DCH Animal Adoptions relies solely on our adoption fees and the generous support of the community to continue our rescue work. Many times, we are faced with large veterinary bills due to the illness and injury that comes along with looking after pound rescues.

Willow and her sister Paris are the friendliest, cuddliest, sookiest and loveliest princesses we have ever fostered.

She is a playful, inquisitive, exquisite looking kitten. Willow has a tiny, white splash under her chin, but other than this she is midnight black. She greets me at the door when I come home, steals my tea when I'm not looking and just loves company. I guarantee you will fall in love within 2 seconds of meeting her.

Willow will be ready to go to her new home when she reaches 1kg.

She will be wormed, microchipped, vaccinated and will come with a deferred desexing form.

Lulu

Lulu

domestic short/medium hair - female

Lulu is a special little lady with a crazy personality and beautifully soft coat with unusual markings.
She is looking for a SUPER and very special human friend who doesn't mind a challenge.
Lulu is very, very, very timid with absolutely everyone apart from her human foster mum and fur foster brothers Kenny and Piccolo.
Because of this I assume that she would take a good month or so to feel comfortable in her forever home.
It would help her to feel more confident if she was initially confined to one room at a time where there are no hiding places and where she would need to interact with her new human friend/s. Let's face it, it would be scary for anyone to be moved into a new place with new humans you don't know.
She is a bit of a hisser when feeling scared or introduced to other cats. She is a little feisty at times and doesn't mind using she claws and teeth on your hand, however it is all in play with no aggression. If you leave your hand there and say 'no' or 'gentle' she will follow your direction. A stuffed toy when she is in this mood does the trick and saves your hand.
Lulu would suit a home with no children and not too many human friends in the house.
Once she knows you well she follows you around meowing and will flop onto the ground in front of you for a head rub, but hates her stomach being touched. Lulu just enjoys being around her human companion when you are home. She is not a lap cat and hates being picked but will sleep on your bed - she loves to bite your moving feet through the bed covers. She is happiest just finding a place near to you where she can watch whatever you are doing.
Lulu has what's called her 'suckle top'. Since she came to her carer she has always suckled on my old tops. She enjoys suckling on this daily while relaxing on the lounge with a blanket and her carer. Lulu will take her “suckle top” with her to help settle her in to a new home.
Lulu will be a challenge for whoever adopts her, however is such a sweet little loyal lady once she knows and trusts you. She would need to be your only pet housed with her new owner or could be housed with either Kenny or Piccolo, if you were willing to adopt more than one.
Lulu is just a loving cat waiting for her special human to come along.
As she is extra shy I would advise she remain an indoor only cat.
Her carer can discuss future options to assist her transition on inquiry.

Lulu was adopted on 29 March 2015 after 1.1 years in foster care
