Togo

Togo

Siberian Husky - male

Togo found himself admitted into a Sydney council animal shelter. We don't know any history of him prior to being at the shelter however he completed his impound time at the shelter and no owners had come forward for him.

While at the shelter the staff noticed he seemed to have a hip issue so has been released to us as a rescue group to get him attention for his hips prior to rehoming him.

Togo has been examined by the vets on 25/3 and they advised he appeared to have a hip issue from the examination and recommended xrays to check the hips.

Update 1/4. Togo has had hip xrays completed. The xrays show no obvious ongoing issues with his hips and tests performed on his hips have not revealed any current issues. Hip dysplasia has been ruled out based off the current xrays. Its been recommend that he be x-rayed again by the new owners once he turns one and has completed lots of growing just to double check his hips.

Long term, he will need an owner who is energetic and can exercise him and who how knows the requirements of the breed and can meet his needs. Is recommended to give him at least 1 hour of exercise daily.

He has received 1 X C5 Vaccination.
He has been desexed 1/4 and has to wear a cone and will need his stitches removed around the 11/4.

Togo is now cleared to start his search for his new family and we are taking applications and will be seeking the best suited home that will meet his needs.

Dumpling

Dumpling

Domestic Short Hair - female

Dumpling is a sweet, happy little girl who is looking for a caring family to share a wonderful long life together. Dumpling would love a home that is excited about playing with her, giving lots of pats and love, and will introduce her to new experiences. She is the perfect mix of affectionate and playful.

If you're looking for a new cuddle companion, look no further!
Dumpling is a warm cuddly, snuggly little purr machine.
She absolutely loves human company, especially when there are snuggles involved and she equally loves rumbling and playing with her siblings. She is a very curious kitten and likes to check out every inch of the house and look in every single cupboard.

She sometimes gets confused and thinks she is a monkey, she loves to climb and hang off things, so she would be better suited to a home with tall cat towers or safe climbing furniture.
Once all that kitten energy is used up, she loves to snuggle up and purr on your chest or burrow her head under pillows and blanket forts and get patted to sleep.

She is an absolute delight to have around, such a calming and easy going nature, she would make a great friend for children or other cats.
She loves to play with feathery toys and enjoys running through the cat tunnel or up the cat tower.
Dumpling also likes to play this game of speedy hide and seek, where she doesn’t actually give us anytime to count before dashing off to the next hiding spot.

Dumpling has been raised as an indoors only cat, so she will need to go into an indoors only home.
She has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas/worms and is located in the Penrith area.

Dumpling was adopted on 11 April 2022 after 2 months in foster care

Opal

Opal

Domestic Short Hair - female

Opal was found by a ranger, abandoned with her 2 sisters in the Hawkesbury area. When they came into my care, they were dirty, full of fleas, and malnourished.
Opal was the runt of the litter and she was very underweight, we were quite worried about her survival. As soon as we got her home, we gave her a flea bath, filled up her belly with nutrient-rich kitten formula, and slowly introduced solid food.

She was a little shy at first but it was easy to win over because she loved to be warm and secure and what better way to do that than snuggles.
Now that she and her siblings are safe and warm, we have had the pleasure of watching her grow, learn to trust, and become a healthy, happy, and very playful kitten.

She is gentle but playful, she loves napping up high in the cat tower and chasing her sibling’s tails.
She can be quite the speedy little kitten when she wants to be, sometimes if you try to pick her up when she is in zoomies mode, her body will wiggle and her little legs fly all over the place, It reminds me of a turtle trying to swim away fast.

When she does slow down, she likes to curl up burrito style and has a cute little purr to lull you to sleep along with her, she also likes to give you little kitty kisses on your cheek to show her appreciation and affection.

She loves to play with toys, especially the ball puzzle you can see in her video. Opal and her siblings have a blast running through the cat tunnel, up the cat tower and climbing all over the place during crazy zoom time.
She is a total purr ball, extremely affectionate and loving to humans and her kitten siblings.

Opal has been raised as an indoors only cat, so she will need to go into an indoors only home.
She has been microchipped, vaccinated and treated for fleas/worms and is scheduled to be desexed by early April and she is located in the Penrith area.

Opal was adopted on 11 April 2022 after 2 months in foster care

Chere

Chere

Domestic short hair - female

Chere (pronounced like the name of Alicia Silverstone's character in the movie "Clueless", i.e. 'S-h-a-r-e') is far from clueless. She is a clever, adventurous and affectionate kitten who loves to play with adults, children, other cats, and cat toys that roll or tease her nose or feet.

With a white stripe adorning her pretty face, Chere is a looker and knows it. She loves the chase as well as climbing cat trees. However, she is a heavy sleeper when she is pooped from all the playing. She is also respectful of furniture, shoes and people food.

Chere likes dry and wet kitten food, is litter-trained, and will spend a lot of time cleaning herself after every meal. She is microchipped, vet-checked, received her first vaccination, and has regularly been given preventative treatment for worms, heartworm and fleas.

If you are looking for a sweet kitten with a great sense of fun but also appreciates sleep, then you will fall in love with Chere. She would love to meet you.

Charlie

Charlie

Blue Cattle x Fox Terrier - male

Hi, I'm Charlie, a timid and shy 7.8kg boy. My foster carer helped me write this to show that I do have a personality behind my shyness. I was an only companion to my furparent who, at 88 years of age is unable to care for me any longer. I was surrendered and entrusted to the care of DCH Animal Adoptions who is now on the look out for a new furparent for me.

I am residing at present with my foster carer's 3 foster fails and I'm finding that I do actually prefer my human to myself. I walk well on the collar and lead and I have a good appetite and am affectionate. I like to hang on the alfresco on a comfy trampoline bed and will check on house occupants periodically to make sure they are okay.

Following my Vet visit, it was determined that my elbow on my front leg has severe arthritis which means I will have to be on arthritis medications for life. Following this news, DCH is now looking for a single storey, quiet home with limited exercise for Charlie, no jumping off surfaces, and minimal stairs.

I like my cuddles and have slowly come out of my shell already and I'm looking forward to the next and hopefully final chapter of my life with someone who would love my company. Just look at my eyes, how can you resist?

If you are interested, please send an expression of interest to my carer by e-mail as she is in and out caring for others and will I will make sure she checks her emails between her elderly clients.

Bye for now, hope to meet you soon.
