Saffron

Domestic Short Hair - female

**9/6/2020 - Sponsorship Help needed. Saffron has been diagnosed with an over active and enlarged heart. She has been placed onto medication to help control and manage the condition. She has has x-rays and had medications prescribed. Her current vet expenses are expected to be around $250 but this is expected to increase over time. Any help with her vet care is greatly appreciated**

Hi I'm Saffron, Saffy for short.

I'm a sweet and affectionate little girl who thrives on cuddles, kisses and adventure. I might be a mighty midget but great things come in small packages.

Although I'm still half the size of my 4 annoying brothers, have little short legs so I run like a rabbit and was born without a tail I have never let these silly things hold me back. I'm very brave as my foster sister Roxy who is a Golden Retriever doesn't even faze me. She's so fun to sneak up on when she's sleeping and run after when it's playtime.

I have thrived since I came into care as I am a voracious eater. I adore my kitten bickies and wet food, although I have been told by my foster mummy that my table manners leave a lot to be desired.

I love playing with my brothers, chasing their tails, balls and anything else that moves but am also happy to have some quiet time on my own whether it be in our bed or on a blanket on the sofa while my foster family is watching TV. I have a habit of suckling on my brothers when they are sleeping or my foster mummy when we are having a cuddle, this makes me so happy and purr really loud.

You will fall in love with me as soon as you meet me.

Saffton is vet-checked, microchipped, vaccinated and flea/worm treated. She will be desexed prior to re-homing and will be available after 22/6/20 approx.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols.

  • Thankyou to Gillian for her sponsorship of Saffrons current vet fees

    Walter

    Walter

    DSH - male

WALTER HAS NOW GONE ON A TRIAL TO HIS NEW FAMILY! ❤️
Hi, I’m Walter. I was found at a construction site all alone and was brought to the pound by a kind worker before coming to my foster home. I’m a shy guy, I need time to sit and watch before I feel safe with you. I really love my teaser toy though and you wouldn’t know I was shy if you watched me play, I get lost in the excitement! Now don’t get me wrong, I love to snuggle and receive affection, I just need a little time to get comfortable and trust you. I’d love to live with another feline or canine companion in a home that understands that I may need a little extra time. I’m overwhelmed by children so would like to live in a home with older kids and/or children who are gentle with me.
I also really like to eat! I’m not fussy when it comes to food but my new owner will need to serve me on time or I will start to complain. I’m reliably litter trained and I’m honestly the cutest little tuxie you’ll meet. My carer is taking expressions of interest now but I will not be ready to go to my new home until I’ve been to the vets for my little operation.

Walter was adopted on 23 September 2020 after 3 weeks in foster care

    Domestic Short Hair - male

Terry is an attractive black male kitten, he is very active and cheeky. When Terry wants to settle he will find a comfortable corner on the sofa or in his cat tree. He loves to play with noisy toys and scrap paper so be prepared to clean up little pieces when he is done.

He was rescued from a Western Sydney Council pound and was from a litter of 5 kittens along with their stray Mumma.

    Bobbie

    Bobbie

    Domestic Short Hair - female

Bobbie's owner moved away and left her behind. She has had 2 litters of kittens according to the neighbours. She has now been desexed on 28/5 and is looking for a new family.

She has been living rough on the streets for at least a year and has been used to visiting neighbours for food. She is a lovely cat and has a wonderful purr but you have to earn her trust first. She is a little shy and timid and takes a little while to come out of her shell. We strongly recommend her as an indoors only cat to keep her safe and protected and loved.

She has received her 1st vaccination and will receive a 2nd towards the end of the month. She is available now to a home where she will receive love and attention and have the patience to allow her to adjust and settle into a new life.

The vets have estimated she is around 2.5 years old but is just an estimate.

She is located in Penrith now, sharing nicely with two other cats.

Bobbie was adopted on 05 September 2020 after 3 months in foster care

    Jasper

    Jasper

    DMH - male

Jasper and his two sisters, Juno and Jaz were born in a drain in Schofields, both their parents were street cats (mumcat was caught and desexed).

Jasper was adopted into a lovely family in October 2019 but due to some very unfortunate circumstances, this beautiful boy (now 14 months old), is back with DCH for rehoming.

Jasper is a lovely medium-haired cat who, like many felines, is quite timid until he gets to know you. Jasper has not been around other animals for the past year, so he would need a home without other cats to ensure that he is not unduly stressed. (Update: Jasper was okay with very young foster kittens after 3-4 days)

Jasper is quite happy to be picked up and patted, and he will sit on your lap once he feels comfortable with you. He has a gorgeous soft coat that should be brushed regularly so he looks his best! Jasper eats both wet and dry cat food and is litter trained.

As Jasper would be missing his family and is a bit confused about what is happening, he will need an adoptive family who are very caring and happy to patiently help him adjust to new surroundings and people.

Jasper is microchipped, wormed, vaccinated and desexed, and must be kept as an Indoor Only cat.

If you would like to meet Jasper, he is now located at Petstock Rouse Hill.

If you think Jasper would be a good fit in your family and you would like to be considered to adopt Jasper, just fill out the Expression of Interest in-store, after you have met him.

    Jayde

    Jayde

    DSH - male

    Meet Jayde:

Hi, I’m Jayde, your friendly neighbourhood cat!

I may appear shy at first, but give me a little time and we’ll be best buddies!

I love to play with cats and dogs, but they have to like me too!

I have a white horseshoe mark across my back and people think it gives me good luck because I was bitten by a paralysis tick, but with veterinary care I have made a recovery!

My interests: Cuddles, naps and head scratches.

My bucket list: To bring the whole world good luck with my horseshoe marking.

My ideal match: A caring family who would welcome me with arms wide open.

Let’s hope my lucky horse shoe can find me a forever home too!

I am microchipped, desexed and up to date with my vaccinations, so I'm raring to go!

Jayde's vet expenses for treatment of his tick bite came to $437. If you can help sponsor him please see details below

**DCH would like to say Thank you to Natalia, Davy, Carolyn, Lisette and Hui for their generous donations towards Jayde's vet fees. His additional costs have now been fully covered.**

Jayde was adopted on 01 September 2020 after 4.8 years in foster care
