Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo

Domestic Short Hair - male

Jimmy Choo came into care with his brothers Hugo Boss, Skechers and Valentino at about 2 weeks old weighing less than 200 gms.

Jimmy is an old sole in a kitten body, and while his personality is still developing Jimmy has always been a calm, watchful kitten. While not overtly affectionate, Jimmy Choo is comfortable being picked up, have a belly rub or play and sleeps most nights on his foster mums bed.

Jimmy is an unusual little kitten who refused to give up the bottle until he was over 1 kg, and then moved straight on to dry food, no matter what is offered Jimmy has shown no interest in any type of wet food, be it canned food, pet mince or even BBQ chicken (normally a favourite kitten treat) – this doesn’t appear to affect his growth as Jimmy has and remains the biggest boy of the group.

Jimmy Choo has been raised in a house full of foster sibling kittens, adult cats and dogs and he gets along with them all. While Jimmy is a chilled laidback kitten, he has been raised in a single human household so will need a little time to settle into the energy and noise of a household of multiple humans.

Jimmy Choo is litter trained, microchipped and has been desexed, had his first vaccination and is ready to meet his potential forever family.

A visit with Jimmy Choo can be organised at his foster home in Bligh Park, with visitors being required to adhere to DCH COVID-19 operating guidelines, which are linked at the top of this page.

Please note, you must be over 18 years old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH Animal Adoptions.

Jimmy Choo was adopted on 27 June 2020 after 2 months in foster care

Skechers

Skechers

Domestic Medium Hair - male

Skechers is a little fluffy ruffian – the only kitten in his litter with slightly longer fur, Skecher always looks a little rumpled as if just waking from a nap. Skecher was a tiny little kitten at only 117gms the day he came into care with his brothers Hugo Boss, Valentino and Jimmy Choo at about 2 weeks old, and while it was touch and go at the beginning Skecher has let nothing hold him back.

While Skechers is confident climbing to the top of the cat tree or other furniture, he is also the kitten most likely to call out for help to get down – and he is very dramatic about it to.

While he has been raised in a household with multiple cats and dogs, Skechers foster home is a single human household and the increased energy and noise of other people may make him a little nervous at first, so he will need a little time to settle into his new home should multiple humans live there.

Skechers is litter trained, microchipped and has been desexed, had his first vaccination and is ready to meet his potential forever family.

A visit with Skechers can be organised at his foster home in Bligh Park, with visitors being required to adhere to DCH COVID-19 operating guidelines, which are linked at the top of this page.

Please note, you must be over 18 years old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH Animal Adoptions.

Valentino

Valentino

Domestic Short Hair - male

Valentino is a handsome little champagne kitten who has known he is a cutey since the day he came into care with his brothers Hugo Boss, Skechers and Jimmy Choo at about 2 weeks old weighing less than 150 gms.

Valentino is a cheeky little character, and will lie in wait before pulling a ninja move or boxing stance on his foster mum or foster dogs.

While usually a confident little kitten, Valentino has been raised in a single human household and the increased energy and noise of other people does make him a little nervous, so he will need a little time to settle into his new home should multiple humans live there. But if given the time to get comfortable, Valentino will quickly become a little purr-baby happy to play or snuggle in for a nap.

Valentino is litter trained, microchipped and has been desexed, had his first vaccination and is ready to meet his potential forever family.

A visit with Valentino can be organised at his foster home in Bligh Park, with visitors being required to adhere to DCH COVID-19 operating guidelines, which are linked at the top of this page.

Please note, you must be over 18 years old and an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident to adopt an animal from DCH Animal Adoptions.

Rinnai

Rinnai

Rinnai is a beautiful Ginger tabby coloured kitten. He has been surrendered into care to find him a new forever home and has been in care since around 3 weeks of age. He was bottle raised while in foster care and had lots of handling.

Morgan

Morgan

Domestic Short Hair - female

***Potential adoption is temporarily paused during COVID-19 pandemic and no visitation will be possible (estimated end time will be end of May).***

Morgan came into DCH care from an Animal Hospital, where she had been treated for a very badly injured leg perhaps due to being run over. To save her life, the vets amputated one of her legs and she also lost a toe on another foot.

The Hospital cared for her wonderfully during her 2 month recovery and also looked for her owner. But, with no microchip and no one coming forward to claim her, she is now looking for a loving furever home.

Morgan is around 2 year's old now, and a beautiful black and white girl. During her time with us, Morgan has proved to be inquisitive, very friendly and she loves attention. She will be a wonderful and affectionate companion.

Morgan seems not to notice anything different now she has recovered, and gets around with no trouble. With a back leg missing, she will however really appreciate lots of ear and neck scratches now she can’t reach; of course, she must be an indoor pussy cat.

Morgan’s injury requires no on-going care at all – she just wants a home with her own human(s) to shower her with plenty of love and cuddles in return for her own.

Morgan is microchipped, vaccinated an de-sexed.
If you wish to offer Morgan a loving home, please email her carer to arrange to meet her in her Homebush foster home.

Morgan was adopted on 24 June 2020 after 9 months in foster care

Sammy

Sammy

DSH - male

These glorious ginger kitties were surrendered into our care by an elderly lady who rescued their mum and three more siblings. She nurtured and loved them, but had neither the finances nor the room to keep them all.

It was only when the carer brought them home that she realised the boys are almost identical – in fact, it is only recently that we’ve managed to distinguish between them as Sammy has an S-shape embedded in his fur. These boys may enjoy a new home together, but will also be happy to find a fabulous furever home all to themselves.

Both kitties were socialised initially within the rescuer’s wider family, including children, but social lockdown put an end to that and it did take a week or two for these guys to venture far. However, they chose the carer’s bedroom for their early retreat so clearly they are people pussycats, and they are now making up for lost time. They both love their chow.

Sammy is quite inquisitive and has proved the more adventurous of the two despite being the smaller. He loves a good play and romp with his brother and toys.

He has become quite affectionate, especially at bed time when he decides to clamber all over his carer asking for head scratches; he has a lot of purring going on. Sammy does like to play with toys with his brother, and loves a good chase around the house. At this stage, he’s still cautious of people walking around, but we are seeing improvement with further socialisation.

Both kitties are beautiful long boys when they stretch out! At times they both decide to lie across the carer’s legs – not sure whether the carer or they are the most uncomfortable with this arrangement, but certainly they insist it’s a really good thing.
We believe both Sammy and Oscar will take a little time to settle in, and will need patience and love from their new families. But the reward will be great. These kitties must be indoor only.

Sammy and Oscar have been microchipped, vaccinated and will be desexed prior to adoption. They are located in Colyton.

If you are interested in learning more about or providing a home to one or both of these lovely boys, please contact his carer.

NOTE: All visits will be by appointment, and in accordance with prevailing social distancing protocols.

Oscar

Oscar

DSH - male

Oscar is the more cautious of the two, and is taking his time to venture out into the wider world except he does love to ‘share’ (perhaps better described as take over) the bed with his carer at night. Oscar loves a good head scratch, too, when his human comes down to his level on the floor.

Oscar also likes to play with toys, ’specially empty toilet rolls, with his brother, and loves a good chase around the house. At this time, this is sadly mostly during the night with multiple necessary cat naps under the bed during the day. His new family will have to work on his feline circadian rhythms!

Like his brother, he’s still not adjusted to folk walking around, but doesn’t move far away so it’s a work in progress. He just hasn’t had much experience of being towered over by humans, but certainly has shown willingness to adjust.

Cleo

Cleo

Domestic Medium Hair - female

Cleo is a beautiful girl who has lovely medium grey hair. She is a little reserved and takes a while to warm up to new people. She has a great purr but will grumble whens he does not like something.

She is very independent and active and won't be a lap cat but does enjoy a cuddle and a pat and seems to enjoy her pats more and more each week.

She is friendly but can play a little rough so is best in a home without young children. Her favourite toy at the moment is a shoelace that she likes to chase around the house and enjoys roughhousing with her brother Leo.

Cleo has received 2 F3 vaccinations is microchipped, desexed and treated for worms and fleas. She will need to be lifetime registered with council by her new owner.

Cleo is looking for a loving new forever home where she can be an indoors cat and receive lots of love and play time.

Please contact us for any more information on Cleo or to meet her.
As we currently receive lots of enquiries please include as much detail as you can in your enquiry about yourself, your family and your home to help us determine the most suitable home for her.
