DareDevil

DareDevil

Hi Megan

Im sure you will remember this little guy I got from you, Phantom (daredevil), I thought id just let you know that his is doing really well, he is pictured with my oriental cross, bella, she mothers him as you can see, he gets around the house really well and gets into everthing he can, he loves mischief!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend and keep up the great work, I hope one day ill have the room to be able to foster cats and help them find forever homes.

Kind Regards

Renae

DareDevil was adopted on 14/06/06 after 3 weeks in foster care. Daredevil was a very special boy. He came into the pound with no eyes, we don't know what happened to him or if he was born this way, but it never stopped him enjoying life to the fullest.

Bella

Bella

Hi Megan

Here is a photo of Bella in her bed, she was about to snooze but got a rude awakening by the flash! A little bit about how Bella and I met. Bella was due to be euthenaised on the last Friday in October last year, my friend Heather who fosters for DCH asked me if I would foster her as she already had a foster dog at her place. The ranger there, Kiralee, had gotten to know Bella over her time there and said she was so loving and friendly and wanted hugs all the time!

I straight away said I would go down and get her out as soon as I finished work, actually I flexed off a little early! Our first night together I bathed her about five times because she was so matted and smelly! (I swiftly arranged a professional grooming a couple of days later!) I put the dog bed beside mine and she slept there all night long, after that one night she was in my bed with me and my other pets from then on! I soon found out she was house trained and she loved my Shih Tzu and my Bombay cat and they adored her! In fact, my Shih Tzu who's 11 years old has found a new lease on life because Bella is only around three and she makes sure he enjoys everyday playing and snoozing together.

So the Happy Ending is that I just had to adopt her myself as she fitted in so well with the rest of the team here at my place and she certainly loves us too! I named her Bella as she has the most beautiful, loving nature toward other animals and humans Ive ever seen in a dog.

Thanks! Clare

adopted on her foster carer on 01/02/08 after 3 months in foster care.

Teddy

Teddy

Hi Anne

Teddy is fitting in very nicely he is trained and he is learning to come and to shake. He was sleeping with the girls but has chosen our bed to sleep in...maybe the girls tossed and turned a bit too much for his liking or maybe our bed is comfier (heehee). Anyway he is our new alarm clock in the mornings, and i must say it is much nicer waking up due to licking than the awful beep beep of the clock. Still trying new things for him to eat as he seems to get bored of the same kind of foods, we are trying to include fish at least 3 times a week. He loves his chicken necks and his bones and my shoes!! To date he has gone through 4 pairs!! But that's ok because we love him dearly.

Thank you for the gift that is teddy :)

Johanna and family

Teddy was adopted on 27/04/08 after 3 weeks in foster care.

Big Bob and Melon Head

Big Bob and Melon Head

Hi Becky, Thought it was time you had an update of the boys.

As you can see by the photos, they are not fading away...and they are getting their coats ready for winter.

Bob is as gregarious, funny and lovable as ever... and Melly is much quieter little darling...not as big as Bob, bot nonetheless a solid little nugget. He is shy of strangers....in fact, dislikes them. He growls when he hears the gate latch opening. He snorts and grumbles and goes to the farthest end of the living room and waits till he is sure it is safe to go back outside! A very big sook. Much more cautious than Big Bob....but the biggest lap cat, snugglebum in the world. Whereas Bob will stay for just a while on your lap whilst you scratch his chest and neck, then he's off...he is such a hot bod. Not to say, he doesn't adore company....and always happy for big smooches and loves. He is in his element when we are all out in the garden together. They both love to sleep on beds at night. We mostly keep them separate at nights...as Bob is a bit of a troublemaker otherwise. Melly with me....Bob with Lorraine.....and on occasions when Bob really wants to stay with Melly and me, he does.....and on some of these occasions he will actually allow us to share the bed with him too. He is such a gorgeous, larger than life character. We love him / them to bits! In fact, everyone who meets them, falls in love with them.

As always, thanks for saving these two special boys! They send their purrs and smooches :-)

Warm wishes Diane, Lorraine, Big Bob and Mellybelly

Hello! I adopted Cocoa in December and thought you might like to see some photos from her 1st Birthday! I didnt have an exact date of her birthday so I made it up but she seemed to enjoy it!

Cocoa was really shy when she first came to live with me and was very scared of humans but with time she will now go up to almost anyone to get a pat and she is a HUGE mummys girl!

Love her to bits so thanks so much for making that possible!

Popeye

Hi There, We recently adopted 'Popeye' (Angus) from a lovely foster carer named Amanda. Angus is doing really well and has even survived our two year old!! :o) He is far from timid anymore and loves a game of chase with our three young children. He has also claimed ownership of our 2 year old son's children's lounge which they often both snuggle up on for an afternoon nap!

Could you please pass on our sincere thanks to Amanda for taking such wonderful care of him and for introducing him to our little family. We couldn't imagine life without him. Again, Thanks so much Bron Barry

Buddy was adopted on 5/04/08 after 1 and a half months in foster care.

Santa

Santa

Hi

We would like to thank DCH for bringing Vassili (originally named Santa) into our family. We adopted him in early December 2007

We were told he was such a shy, timid kitten but once we got him home, he showed us, including our older cat Molly whose in charge. He doesn't go outside very often, he prefers sunning himself on the bed or lounge. He is also the biggest sook I have ever known :-)

Once again, thanks sooo much. Attached are some pic's of Vassili. thanks again, Bec and Lee

Santa was adopted on 17/12/07 after 1 months in foster care.
